Repaint of the AIAardvark Boeing B727-100 in Democratic Republic Congo Government Color Scheme. Plane was used for the fled of Vice-President Jean-Pierre Bemba after failed election in Congo since then this plane is stored at Faro (LPFR). According to Spotterphotos seems still in flyable condition. some static flightplan is added. Base Files package for FS2004 (aia721pk.zip) available at Avsim. This is an AI only aircraft.

File Description:
After the Republic of the Congo (Leopoldville; since 1965 Kinshasa) gained independence in 1960 from Belgium, the Belgian national airline Sabena continued to operate routes in the country. Plans for the formation of a Congolese airline were delayed due to the Congo Crisis. However, in January 1961 a protocol was signed with Sabena for the creation of a limited liability company to be named Air Congo. On 1961 the company was formed, and incorporated on 28 June with Sabena providing technical assistance and personnel. The initial fleet of Air Congo consisted of ex-Sabena Douglas DC-3s, DC-4s and DC-6s. The first international destinations served by the carrier were Entebbe, Luanda, Nairobi and Ndola. The last "short" DC-6 was disposed of in 1970. Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.
You will require Jens B. Kristensen's FS2004 Douglas DC-6 (dc6_v20.zip).

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-4 in Air Zaire colors. The freeware DC-4 (C-54) V3 by Jens B Kristensen is needed for this repaint. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should also work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are 32bit DDS.
Air Zaire operated 8 DC-4s. These were passed on to the airline by Air Congo, after the name change in 1971. This DC-4, 9Q-CBG was with Air Congo/Air Zaire from 1967 to July 1976, when it was sold to Zaire Aero Service. It tragically crashed with that airline, on August 23 1988, over Mbamou Island in in the Republic of the Congo.
