| Bethel: St Mary's area airfields in southwest Alaska close to the Yukon River |

This presumes you have already installed Bethel PABE and Bethel Local Airfields. In the Yukon River area of Alaska to the north of Bethel there are small villages, served by flights from both Bethel and the nearer St Mary's PASM. St Mary's has a gravel runway like the other villages, but has a larger population and airport services including maintenance and fuel. This, plus the saving of an average one hundred miles of flying by a Cessna 205 when compared with flights from Bethel, means it acts as a distribution centre fed from Bethel by larger aircraft. Go to "http://vfrmap.com/" for free vfr maps of the area (see the attached). The ten village airfields included here are all to the north and west of St Mary's: Hooper Bay PAHP, Chevak VAK, Cape Romanzof PACZ (closed air force field servicing a radar station), Scammon Bay SCM, Sheldon Point SXP, Alakanuk AUK, Emmonak PAEM, Kotlik 2A9, Mountain Village MOU, and of course St Mary's PASM itself. With these airfields not everything is as it appears to be. For instance, Hooper Bay is not a new and modernised airfield, despite the asphalt runway and apron; the current version has dispensed with the aging asphalt and gone back to gravel. I have tended to go for the 2005 or so versions, which sometimes means a small runway amid or close to the housing; Kotlik was an early renewal for reasons of safety as much as anything else and has had (since 2003?) a new and longer runway located outside of the town. The second batch of airfields will be to the east of St Mary's.

File Description:
A high quality AFCAD2 for Honolulu Int'l Airport (PHNL). Only for use with the freeware scenery by Bill Melichar (honov5.zip). The file is built from scratch using the latest FAA charts, various photographs and information from the airport website, in order to be as near real as possible. All taxiways are named as per real life and runway lengths are 100% accurate. All Airline gates are named as per real life and have the correct airlines assigned to them. Using the crosswind runway technique, all runways are now active for use at the same time. The Air Freight Terminal, to the west of the airport is also featured, with parking assignments for the cargo carriers that use it. Hickham AFB parking is included, consisting of a Military Combat area, Military Cargo area and airline gates for troop charter flights. Maintenance parking for Air Pacific, Aloha Airlines and Hawaiian airlines jets can be found on the south ramp area. An extensive GA area can also be found on the south ramp, and can accomodate any privately owned aircraft ranging from Cessna to Boeing 747. It is recommended (but not necessary) that you also download the freeware "Hickam AFB" scenery by Derek and Brendan Webb (dbwsimhickam04.zip) as it greatly enhances the appearance of the Air Force Base. This file has been extensively tested and all AI flows as it should. New in this release are updated gate assignments for new airlines that recently started to serve Honlulu, plus updated parking for new cargo carriers. Previous version of this file had over 2000 downloads. Enjoy!!

However, the Antonov An-225 retains the record of being the world's largest commercial aircraft.
The media has termed the A380 a "superjumbo", with some comparing it to Howard Hughes's Spruce Goose. The first A380 prototype was unveiled during a ceremony in Toulouse, France, on January 18, 2005. Its manufacturer's serial number is 001, and is registered as F-WWOW. The new Airbus will initially be sold in two versions: the A380-800, carrying 555 passengers in a three-class configuration or up to 800 passengers in a single-class economy configuration. Expected range for the -800 model is 8,000 nautical miles (14,800 km). The second model, the A380-800F dedicated freighter, will carry 150 tons of cargo 5,600 miles (10,400 km). Airbus made the cockpit layout, procedures and handling characteristics similar to those of other Airbus aircraft to reduce crew training costs. | RAF Wittering 1990 |

Wittering was opened as an RAF station in 1924, but flying here started way back in 1916 with the Royal Flying Corps.
Initially the Central Flying School was based here from 1926 until 1935. During World War 2, Wittering was a part of 12 Group, which was responsible for the defence of the Midlands.
The station took on a nuclear responsibility in 1956 with the arrival of the V-Force Valiants, and later Victor bombers. Because of this, the runway was increased in length.
After the V-Bombers left, the station took on the mantle of Home of the Harrier, a title it carried with it from 1969, until the stations closure in 2010.
This scenery is made up of various library objects, using ScruffyDuck's ADE9X, to make a close representation of the base, as opposed to being factually accurate.
Brian has incorporated most of the extra runways and representations of deck landing areas that were used at Wittering for V/STOL training - these runways are not active, but may still obviously be used for taking off and landing yourself.
Also included are repaints of John Young's Harrier GR3/T4 AI model, available from flightsim.com. These represent the aircraft of No.1(F) Squadron and No.233 OCU, during 1989-90.
There are also a set of representative flightplans to allow the Harriers to fly "typical" missions and flights.

Pan American World Airways, known from its founding until 1950 as Pan American Airways[1] and commonly known as Pan Am, was the principal and largest international air carrier in the United States from 1927 until its collapse on December 4, 1991. Founded in 1927 as a scheduled air mail and passenger service operating between Key West, Florida, and Havana, Cuba, the airline became a major company credited with many innovations that shaped the international airline industry, including the widespread use of jet aircraft, jumbo jets, and computerized reservation systems. It was also a founding member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the global airline industry association.[3] Identified by its blue globe logo ("The Blue Meatball"), the use of the word "Clipper" in aircraft names and call signs, and the white pilot uniform caps, the airline was a cultural icon of the 20th century. In an era dominated by flag carriers that were wholly or majority government-owned, it was also the unofficial overseas flag carrier of the United States.
