| Mount Diablo Summit Museum |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The museum and visitor center house a diorama of the parks ecosystems, complete with the sounds found in nature, and a topographic model of the mountain. On one wall, an instructional video and lighted display case describes the geologic forces that created the mountain. On anther wall, cultural history is chronicled with splendid photographs. The lower level of the summit building contains panels describing the Native American history of the region and an audio-visual room. Rotating displays of art and photography complement the permanent exhibits. In addition to the exhibits, there is a small gift center within the building.
Outside the summit building, telescopes are mounted on the observation deck. A close-up view of the Delta and the surrounding geology is just a quarter. On a clear day, the Sierra Nevada can be seen with the naked eye. If you look carefully, ancient marine fossils embedded in the sandstone walls can be seen along the stairway walls leading to the observation deck. The rotunda on top of the summit building is a reminder of Mount Diablo's importance as a survey point. Sitting atop the rotunda is the old navigation beacon, lighted once a year on December 7 in memory of Pearl Harbor.

Made with SketchUp, designed for ORBX FTXNCA Northern California using Prepar3d V3.2. The files are simple and will probably work with other versions of the simulator.

| Centennial Aircraft DC-3 ACOF-BB IFR Panel, 4-Tank Full Package |
|
File Description:
This package offers a modified aircraft.cfg file for the Beaumont and Bitzer 4-tank ship in a new, standalone package. It includes the latest edition of Mark Beaumont's 'IFR' panel and incorporates Beaumont and Bitzer's 4-tank "no ALL tanks" and automixture modifications. Support documentation explains what changes have been made to make the plane fly more closely to the published specifications for the real DC-3, vintage 1939. Supplied with "Century of Flight" Centennial markings on a bare metal livery in restored condition, this aircraft will appear in a fresh aircraft folder to which you can add other texture sets in the usual way. Aliases default DC-3 sound.

| TreePlanter V4.1 |
|
File Description:
FS 2004 autogen will not be displayed in close proximity to an airport due to the associated airport exclude. GianP ( http://home.tele2.it/gianp ) has produced a library of ‘autogen-like’ trees which use either the default or Gerrish Gray's textures which can be placed near to an airport. The trees must be placed using XML code which is compiled into a scenery bgl by the BGLComp compiler from the FS 2004 BGL Comp SDK. TreePlanter automates this task by interfacing directly with FS 2004 to obtain the required position of each tree and generating the scenery bgl automatically. This updated TreePlanter includes a further 20 tree types by GianP using Gerrish Gray's textures. It also allows the 'p' key on the keyboard to be used to plant trees rather than needing to click on a button with the mouse. It also requires a new library from GianP's site and Gerrish Gray's textures.
An error in one of the Gerrish Gray tree selector has been corrected and the restriction on the use of spaces in filenames has been removed.
