| Rideau Lakes airfield CRL2 near Ottawa in Canada, a REVISED version |

File Description:
Rideau Lakes was made and posted a year ago and this version has a revised grass background which looks more realistic and supports snow. The latter is important for Canadian sceneries. This is the second in a series of revised Ottawa area sceneries, and this version replaces the first one which should be deleted, if you already have it.

| Beaverton CBV2 and Beaverton North fields near Lake Simcoe, Ontario, Canada |

File Description:
The town of Beaverton is on the east shore of Lake Simcoe. Just a bit over three miles to the east of the town is Beaverton airfield CBV2, with a grass runway 12/30 that appears to be 2,100 feet long, rather than the listed 2,400 feet. The field is new enough to be omitted from FS9, and though there are plans to build hangars I don't know if anything has been built in the year since I last saw it, so the only buildings here are farm-related. The second field to the northwest is Beaverton North, which is privately owned. It has 2,000 feet or so of grass runway and a large hangar (or storage shed?) and that about sums up all I know about it. There are two airfield scenery folders, two landclass files to provide the grass airfield areas, and a third landclass folder that modifies the terrain around Beaverton CBV2.

File Description:
Carleton Place was modelled a year ago and posted. This version has a new grass background which is more realistic and also supports winter snow. This is the first in an updated series of sceneries around Ottawa, and it replaces entirely the previous version, which should be deleted.

This is a repaint of the excellent Project Opensky Bombardier CRJ-900ER v3 model, in Air Canada Express opb. Jazz Air livery, C-GJAZ. Model included. The textures are saved in 32bit format for quality graphics. Model developed by Project Opensky, features high resolution textures, dynamic flexing wings, nose gear steering, rudder lock, ground spoilers, low speed aileron locks at high speed, fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, trim animation, opening passenger doors, rolling wheels, animated thrust reverse with reverser block doors, detailed textures, full night lighting, ground service vehicles and more. This is an accurate and up-to-date version of Montreal Intl Airport with two optional files and made only for FSX users, do not use in P3D: The terminal and Aeroquay have been completely replaced with something better than the stock airport, this includes the new extension to the international terminal, new control tower, assigned parking now as per their website with extra parking including two gates for the A380, the ILS for 10 is now correctly aligned with the runway, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements and objects added, airport views are from the roof of the new control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

This is a corrected version that rectifies the airfield elevation, which I forgot to include in the first post; 120 downloads and nobody tells me till now? The remainder of this is as first written, apart from the installation instructions: Gameti is a village in the Northwest Territories, around 65 miles north of Whati, which was recently posted. Until 2005 the village, which has a population of around 280, was known as Rae Lakes and the airfield is now renamed Gameti/Rae Lakes as shown in the 2010 version of the Nav Canada Flight Supplement, my standard reference year. Permanent settlement was established there in 1965 There is no all-weather road access and the village is reliant upon the airfield for supplies, along with an ice road in the winter months. The airfield is a mile or so east of the village, with a lit gravel runway of just over 3,000 feet aligned 14-32 and with PAPI at both ends. The airfield is served by Air Tindi from Yellowknife on an almost daily basis, included in the AI here along with some GA and a Friday delivery by a Buffalo DC3 that uses all of the runway. The runway has lake water at each end, ready for the unwary.

This presumes you have already installed Sproat Lake CAA9; it is not a stand-alone scenery. In the original post I omitted the traffic bgl. This is now included, as are the two AI Beavers that FSAddon gave permission for inclusion and use as AI with Sproat Lake. So if you already have installed the pay scenery they came with they will show up anyway, but if you don't then install these two and they will; just drop the Sproat Lake AI Beavers folder into your aircraft folder, and the traffic bgl into the FS9'Scenery/World/Scenery folder as usual. I have now also included a Grumman Goose amphibian as this was the plane that the Fire Boss would be operating in while fire fighting. The textures are what were available and that I could (limited skills here) revise to at least have a Canadian registration. If I find a more accurate version I will include it at a later date. Drop the bgl's and textures into the already installed Sproat Lake scenery and texture folders and say yes to overwrite or replace.

File Description:
This is an updated version of the original post, revising and adding to AI, parking, rear fences, paths from apron to hangar doors, etc. The Lockheed Constellation was downloaded from the web site California Classics, and with the knowledge and permission of Tom Gibson the modified plane is included here complete with its Air Alaska textures and a modified .cfg file so that it will imitate a lightly loaded plane and squeeze the landing run to suit the runway length of 10-28. The airfield is in southern Ontario, 55 miles west of Kitchener and 25 miles northwest of London, close to the shore of Lake Huron. The airfield is ex-military and was previously listed as Huron Airpark before being officially named the James T. Field Memorial; for me it will always be Huron Airpark. The field is owned by Goderich Aircraft Inc, a company that fits out aircraft with new interiors including instrumentation, seating, and paint schemes. Their main customers are business jet owners, which is why the AI here is oriented towards Lear etc. There are now two runways in use, the third being closed and marked as such (though still listed in the AI for you to select one to land on). The main runway is 10-28 and just over 5,000 feet. The second runway is 16-34 and 4,400 feet, with only identification numbers and centreline markings. There appear to be no apron lights, taxiway lights or runway signage currently installed. There is a small club hangar (and club room) adjacent to the main apron at the southern end, with GA parking, and there are two large hangars (one new) used by Goderich at the northern end. The remainder of the original large hangars are now in use as light industrial units unrelated to aviation, the most obvious of which is a garbage collection company with numerous parked garbage trucks. One of the hangars adjacent to the apron does incorporate what appears to be a new set of hangar doors (the red one) but it is unclear if this is actually in use for a plane. The control tower is no longer in use, and there is only limited snow clearance in the winter by Goderich; presumably they only clear it when they need to use it themselves.
