Dawson Creek is at 2,148 feet asl just east of the Rocky Mountains, less than 10 miles west of the BC/Alberta border. The Peace River, 25 miles north of Dawson Creek, links the two sides of the Rockies, winding through peaks that reach up almost to 8,000 feet. The population grew when the Northern Alberta Railway was extended to Dawsons Creek in 1932, and grew even more more when the Alaska Highway was built in 1942 and Dawsons Creek was where it started from. The airport is just to the east of the town. The runway is 5,000 feet of wide asphalt (150 feet) aligned 06/24, lit, and with PAPI and approach lights. There is a water runway to the north of the main runway with the same alignment, separately designated as Dawson Creek CBD3. The two operate as one; traffic for both use the mandatory frequency of 122.2 and talk to one controller in one control tower. However, in FS9 the ATC for two separately designated airfields operates as if they are nowhere near each other and near misses are the result. I have put them both in un-manned tower mode so you will announce your position and intentions and select your own parking spots etc. There is in reality a lack of apron markings but I have marked the positions of both gates. The apron is not large so there is only one other apron parking spot (see the traffic cone) and most parking is either next to one of the hangars or on the grass. The aprons vary from asphalt, to concrete, onwards to gravel, and then further onwards to some gravel amid the bare dirt; I have replicated this variation as far as FS9 permits. The buildings are bespoke from photos. The AI includes Central Mountain Air with two daily scheduled flights and Northern Cariboo as one of the airlines that occasionally runs charter flights in CYDQ. There are also private GA flights, and float plane flights into and out of CBD3.

| Haines Junction CYHT in Yukon Territory Canada |

File Description:
Haines Junction is a village in the Yukon Territory, Canada, amid the Rocky Mountains and around 80 miles west of Whitehorse. It is sited at the junction of the Haines Highway and the Alaska Highway, hence the name. The village was established in 1942 when the Alaska Highway was under construction, and the Haines Highway was built over the Chilkat Pass to connect to the town of Haines on the Alaska coast.
The date of this scenery is, as usual, around 2010. At that time there was a regular service (not always a daily one, depending on the time of year) by Yukon Air North, and in this case it is by an ATR 42-300. There is a helicopter company based at the airfield, Trans North Helicopters, and there is also Kluane Glacier Air Tours, which, as the name suggests, takes you to a glacier so you can stroll around on ice. And then brings you back. The gravel runway is 5,000 feet long and aligned 04-22, and is lit, with PAPI at both ends. Right hand circuits are required for runway 04 as the terrain is not flat.
This post will be followed by two other airfields to the northwest, Silver City and Burwash, both of which are on or close to the Alaska Highway.

| Lutselk'e CYLK in the Northwest Territories, Canada |

Lutselk'e is a village on the southern shore of the Great Slave Lake, at the eastern end and about 120 miles east of Yellowknife. The Hudson Bay trading company established a post there in 1925, and the current school opened in 1960. The population is in the region of 330. There is no road access, but the government runs a freight shipping service during the ice-free period of the Summer. The airfield is a mile or so east of the village, with a runway of around 3,500 feet of gravel aligned 08-26 with PAPI at both ends and lit, with lights atop traffic cones. There are scheduled flights from Yellowknife by Air Tindi, included in the AI, as is a once a week freight flight by Buffalo Airways. You will need to have downloaded and installed my runway and taxiway lighting library from recent posts. A note here about my scenery making. There will not be many more to follow this as I am almost at the end of the photos I either took or found for scenery purposes, plus I expect to move on from FS9 at some point during next year.

| Fort Graham CBW3 in British Columbia Canada |

Fort Graham is what looks like a very small village on the eastern shore of Williston Lake in northern British Columbia, around 100 miles north of Mackenzie (a previous post). The lake, while not large by Canadian standards, is well over 100 miles long but squeezed in width to a maximum of 5 miles amid the surrounding Rockies. The airfield has a gravel runway of 5,000 feet aligned 13-31 and at 2,230 feet ASL. There is no lighting. The operator of the airfield (and presumably the "village" too) is Finlay River Outfitters, a company that is based in Mackenzie and "outfits" hunting trips in the local area. I have posted this as Fort Graham CBW3, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields" and avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Up to you. This is Ray Smith's file (fsx_cyvr_rs.zip) created for FSX. Ray has given me permission to convert his file for Prepar3Dv2,v3. This airport update has two optional files, one version with the Crosswind runway activated where all 3 runways will be used for takeoff/landing and one version as the default runway operation: Assigned parking as per their website with extra parking including a gate for the A380, the crosswind runway corrected to 13/31 and the approaches corrected for it, runway 08C/26C decommissioned and is now taxiway A, the Canada Post Pacific Processing centre and Ferguson Rd also included, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, start locations added to two of the helipads, extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements included, airport views are from the roof of the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

Fuerza Aerea Venezolana N.A.B-25J-25 Mitchell FAV-5B40 of the Escuadrón de Bombardeo No.40.Three FAV squadron had operated the B-25 between 1947 and 1973: Escuadrones de Bombardeo Nos. 3, 7 and 40. The first batch of 3 planes were taked in charge in 1947 followed by 12 more planes in 1949. Others 11
planes were received between 1950-1952. A last batch was taked in charge by 1963 with 11 planes of the RCAF. This planes were operated first from base Boca de Río and latter from Base Aérea Tte. Vicente Landaeta Gil, Barquisimeto, Edo.Lara and retired in 1973 after re-equiped with Rockwell OV-10E Broncos. Today B-25J-25 FAV 56-B-40(44-30369)is preserved at Museo Aeronáutico,Maracay.

Fuerza Aerea Uruguaya N.A.P-51D-20-NA Mustang FAU-255,ex USAF 44-63492.
The FAU had taked in charge a batch of 25 P-51Ds and the planes arrived
to Montevideo the 12/04/50 after a ferry flight from Palmdale,California.
In this flight FAU-255 was flew by Capt Rovira.This plane was sold with
other five examplares to the Fuerza Aerea Boliviana the 15-09-60 and
retired in 1977.The FAU F-51Ds were operated first by the “Agrupamiento de
Caza”,called from 05/07/51 Grupo de Aviación N° 2(Caza)and then by the
Grupo de Aviación N° 1(Reconocimiento Táctico).The F-51D flew his last
mission under FAU colours the 08/14/59(Maj Mercader).

This textures were a Spanish airline "Spanair" the Airbus A320-232 IAE with his New Livery, only 3 aircrafts were painted with the next registrations: EC-IPI, EC-JJD, & EC-JNC.
Spanair S.A. was a Spanish airline, with its head office in the Spanair Building in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, near Barcelona. Until 2009, it was a subsidiary of the SAS Group; the same parent company in control of Scandinavian Airlines and held slightly under 20% of the company. Spanair provided a scheduled passenger network within Spain and Europe, with an extension to West Africa. Worldwide charters were also flown for tour companies. Its main hub was Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, with focus cities at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport and Palma de Mallorca Airport. The airline had 3,161 employees and was a Star Alliance member from 2003 until its demise on 27 January 2012.
