Gold of the 429th BS / 2nd BG, Amendola, Italy, December 1944 - [?ditched Adriatic Sea with Dale Gold 18/12/44?]; severe battle damaged Maribor 1/4/45 with W.B. Cope; three engines out, landed Prakos, Yugo (crew ret in C-47); aircraft repaired and flew back to base; Returned to the USA Bradley 12/7/45; Independence 6/8/45; Reconstruction Finance Corporation (sold for scrap metal in USA) Kingman 21/12/45."

This folder contains a repaint for version 3 of the Douglas C-117D Skytrooper by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of CP-2421 of Lineas Aereas Canedo. Originally built as C-47 42-93104, it went to the US Nvy as r4D-8 with BuNo 17190. It 1983 it went to Hawkings & Power Aviation as N4504W, later has other owners before going to Bolivi in 2002, becoming CP-2421 with Lineas Aereas Canedo. This is a scratch built full 3D sound package for the Aeroworx DC-3 and (since V1.1.0) VSKYLABS C-47 Skytrain. The package contains much more than just engine sounds, it is a complete sound environment and contains several novelty features "never heard before". This set utilizes source material from 4 real life C-47As and the power of FMOD to create the most accurate R-1830 sound simulation to date. All samples are 44,1KHz high quality audio and there are A LOT. Note that X-Plane 11.30 or newer is required to use this set with the VSKYLABS model! Have fun and turn up those speakers :)

This is repaint of Korean National Airlines C-47/DC-3 for MAAM-SIM Douglas DC-3/R4D. This DC-3 was first delivered to USAF in 1943, after war went to Alaska airlines as N(C)91005 (Starliner Unalakleet). Bought by Korean National Airlines(KNA) in 1958, first used as passenger-liner later used for cargo operation. HL101 carried Starliner Unalakleet lettering on it's nose and also carried alaska logo on its aft fuselage. It was later donated to Inha Technical college(which is owned by Hanjin-Korean Air Corp) and is preserved as HL2002. You'll need MAAM SIM Douglas DC-3 to use this repaint

Repaint of Chathams Pacific DC-3 A3-AWP, which was recently (Nov.2010) put on regular service, 'island hopping' from homebase Fua'amotu [NFTF] on to Lifuka Island [NFTL], Tonga. Flights of about 45 minutes. Other Islands in the Kingdom are served aswell on demand. A3-AWP (c/n 33135) was build in 1945 and is a former New Zealand National Airways DC-3 (ZK-AWP). In 2000, she was operated by Pioneer in New Zealand and in 2004 she went to Tonga.
The texture files included are the fuselage, wings, props and existing darker (realistic)window textures.
You'll need the donationware MAAM R4D/ DC-3/C-47 !!

File Description:
This skin represents "42", a P-47D Thunderbolt flown by Lt. Hurya B'Yessin, of the First Fighter Squadron, based at Ramat David, Israel 1948. Major Lee requested a desert P-47, the two tone brown has already been done, so here's my version of a desert camo.
I have tried a new technique for applying panel lines and rivets, it took three times as long as they came out a little bit too big, but they show great detail!
Many thanks to RussoUK2002 and Team for creating the P-47N for Strike Fighters, and enhancing our SF WW2 experience. And of course AVSIM for hosting!

File Description:
Based on original textures by Jan Visser, this texture set in South African Airways livery requires the base R4D-6 package available from Mid Atlantic Air Museum Simulations (MAAM-SIM) at www.maam.org. Installation instructions are included. "Klapperkop" was manufactured in 1943 as a C-47. She became part of the 'South African Airways Historic Flight' in 1991, and has undertaken numerous all-inclusive package tours to various destinations, including game lodges in South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe, as well as trips to the Victoria Falls. The aircraft seats a total of 24 passengers in a business class configuration, and up to four crew members. By Mark Beaumont.

Initially n° 352 Squadron at Florennes airbase and equipped with Spitfire 14's, the n° 2 Squadron was Created on the 1st of November 1947 and disbanded at the same base on 20 April 2001.
Spitfire SG 14, taken On Charge on 25 jul 47, was Affected to 2 Sqn/2 Wing at unknown date ('49/early'50) with Sqn identification "UR-R".
Transferred to Aux Sqn/1 Wing between mid'51 and mid'52.

This F-86E (N186FS/47-1461/FU-461/cn 1461) is owned by Ed Shipley and was formerly owned by NASA astronaut, Air Force Colonel, and former CEO of Eastern Airlines Frank Borman. The paint scheme of this F-86 is a combination of two F-86 liveries which Frank Borman flew at the 3595th Combat Crew Training Wing and the USAF Fighter Weapons School.
