This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Spitfire in the colors of Spitfire Mk Vc BR290, one of the aircraft of 249 Sqn, based on Malta. It arrived on Malta with operation Bowery, when it was flown off USS Wasp on the 9th of May 1942. Lessons had been learned from an earlier delivery run, and all 61 aircraft that reached Malta were immediately refuelled and rearmed, to be ready to repell the axis airfleets that came to destroy them early on the 10th. In the resulting air battle, the Italian bombers were chased away, and 47 German fighters were shot down (for the loss of 3 British), marking the end of daylight raids on Malta. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-21 42-25569 4K-R 'The Blond Angel', the aircraft flown by Major Hal Shook, the C.O. of the 506th FS/404th FG. He finished the war with 105 combat flights. When the 404th first converted to P-47's, it received a number of brand new bare metal 22 models, but also a number of older C and D models, in OD paint. It was decided to concentrate those in one squadron and flipped a coin for the squadron. maj. Shook lost and consequently, the 506th FS started the war with the older, camouflaged aircraft and only received newer models later. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.

File Description:
Fuerza Aerea Uruguaya C-47A-25-DK T-509, C/N 13744 built a Oklahoma City
production plant for the USAAF as 42-93793. This plane was delivered in ferry flight from Glendale the 18/05/1950(crew Tte.Cnel.M.Sención y el Tte.1º.R.Bendahan) arriving to Montevideo the 30/5/1950. The plane was retired the 22/6/77 after 27 years of service with the FAU. Flew also under the matriculation civil CX-BHO. The base textures for repainting are by Mark Beaumont, original textures are by Jan Visser. Repainted by Daniel Nole.
In order to use these textures, you must already have the MAAM-SIM payware
DC3 and the MAAM-SIM D-Day C-47 'Skytrain' and Dakota Mk III Expansion Pack installed in your FS2004 aircraft folder.

| P-47D 57th FG/ 65th FS #40 "Hun Hunter XIV" |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-23-RA 42-27910 #40 "Hun Hunter XIV", as flown by Lt.Col Gilbert O. Wynand Jr, the CO of the 65th FS/ 57th FG, based in Alto, Corsica. He was more or less responsible for converting the P-47 from a high-altitude fighter to a very efficient ground attack aircraft, which was used to great effect during operation Strangle, where the German supply lines in Italy were completly cut off by destroying all railways, bridges and roads leading to the front in middle Italy. File Description:
About 10 NM north of Lisbon City (Portugal) there is this beautiful, close to the Atlantic Ocean located Portuguese Airbase. The Alverca AB scenery goes along well with the Project Lisbon Photoreal PLPv3.2 scenery available at avsim. The included AI-Package contains: USAF Douglas C-47 Dakota and C-64 Skymaster, Breitling Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation, FAP (Forca Aerea Portuguesa) Lockheed C-130H and T-33A, Lockheed-Martin F-16C, North American F-86F, FAP and GAF (German Air Force) Nord-Aviation Noratlas and the new GAF British-Aerospace Eurofighter Typhoon. The above airplanes perform touch and goes at the local airbase per attched flightplan. This scenery was made with EZ-Scenery. No FSE or other payware is required. Gentlemen, line up and standby for takeoff clearance!

Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-6A - repainted Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-6A CB-16 base pack with model, sound and panel from the website calclassic.com.
These textures depict Ransas YV-C-ERG (c/n 43841), the name "Estefania" on the bow is fiktiv, because it is not readable at the only available photo. Originally delivered to American AL 1953 as N90778 "Air Freighter Chicago". From May 1960 to Nov. 1965 she served with Ransa and after then registered as N45001 with Shamrock AL's "Southern Bell", with Trans Continental AL and some other operators and owners. In 1982 this plane was seized in Colombia due to drug smuggling and pressed into Colombian Air Force as FAC-909 - withdrawn from use 1990.

This 13th scenery covers approximately an area of 7.5x6 kmt, from Barni (NW) to the southern Grigna mountain (NE), from Canzo (SW) to Barro mountain (SE); some of specific buildings are included, as the Moto Guzzi rowing club (Mandello), the monument to Antonio Stoppani, the St. Nicolao church and bell tower, the Social theater with Giuseppe Garibaldi's monument, the war Memorial, the Rowing club building and the Kennedy bridge (Lecco); are included two NLC piers (Abbadia Lariana and Lecco) and the motorboat Ninfea of the NLC navigation; from Mandello to St. Martino mountain several sections of the freeway SS36 are included, with overpasses and tunnels. Some other minor boats and docks are placed alongside the lake coast.

The Douglas C-54 Skymaster was a four-engined transport aircraft used by the United States Army Air Forces in World War II and the Korean War. Like the Douglas C-47 Skytrain, the C-54 Skymaster was derived from a civilian airliner, the Douglas DC-4. Besides transport of cargo, the C-54 also carried presidents, prime ministers, and military staff. Dozens of variants of the C-54 were employed in a wide variety of non-combat roles such as air-sea rescue, scientific and military research, and missile tracking and recovery. During the Berlin Airlift it hauled coal and food supplies to West Berlin. After the Korean War it continued to be used for military and civilian uses by more than 30 countries. This was one of the first aircraft to carry the President of the United States.
