VOMM_P3Dv5 Download

File Description:
Chennai International Airport (IATA: MAA, ICAO: VOMM) is an international airport serving the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, and its metropolitan area. It is located in Tirusulam, 21 km (13 mi) from the city centre. Chennai International Airport is the third busiest in international traffic and cargo capacity in the country behind New Delhi and Mumbai.[4][5] It is also 49th busiest airport in Asia making it one of the four major airports in India under the top 50 list.[6] The airport is served by the airport metro station of the Chennai Metro and the Tirusulam railway station of the Chennai Suburban Railway system. To cope with the passenger traffic, two new terminals, namely, T2 and one satellite terminal, are under construction to handle 40 million passengers per year.[7] Once completed, it will be India's first airport to have a satellite terminal. The new satellite terminal will be connected through a four way underground walkalator for passenger movement across different terminals.[8] Still, the Tirusulam airport complex is expected to reach saturation by 2035, with a peak capacity of 40 million passengers, and a proposal for a new greenfield airport in Chennai is underway for decades. Once the new airport is commissioned, both the airports will be functional.

Sembach Air Base 1990 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This scenery is a representation of Sembach Air Base in the former West Germany during 1990. At the time, Sembach was host to the 66th Electronic Combat Wing, which was responsible for the home-based EC-130H "Compass Call" aircraft of the 43rd Electronic Combat Squadron, and also had in-direct control of the 42nd Electronic Combat Squadron based at RAF Upper Heyford in the U.K. flying the Grumman EF-111A Raven. The 66th ECW moved into Sembach during 1986, and spent the next six years flying from there. The role of the aircraft was electronic disruption of enemy radio and radar transmissions, to limit the enemies ability to co-ordinate their own forces and also the transmission of propaganda in an attempt to win hearts and minds. Sembach was also known as Det.1 of the 81st Tactical Fighter Wing, based at the Twin Bases complex of RAF Woodbridge and RAF Bentwaters. The A-10A's of the six squadrons there would regularly deploy to Sembach and other Forward Operating Locations (FOLs) within West Germany, which was a part of their war-time role. Included in this package are repaints of all six EC-130H's present at Sembach as of April 1990.

YCDN Corunna Downs Station and Old Corunna Downs RAAF (Closed) Download

File Description:
Corunna Downs heritage listed RAAF Base was a secret airfield located in scrub and spinifex country, about 16 kms south west of Marble Bar, the hottest part of the "The Pilbara" area of Western Australia. Not a very ideal place to have a tent city. Today there are very few reminders of the once busy airfield. One can see some crumbling foundations and half filled post holes. 73 OBU operated the Corunna Downs airfield which comprised two intersecting bitumen runways, now regressed and graded occasionally. One ran approximately north-south, 5,000 feet in length while the other ran approximately east-west, 7,000 feet in length. Both runways were approximately 150 feet wide. A 50 foot wide taxiway linked the northern end of the north-south runway to the western end of the east-west runway. Approximately 20 camouflaged revetments to disperse aircraft to minimise bomb damage were constructed at Corunna Downs. Permission is required for landing and there may be vegetation on the strip if not graded recently. No cones or windsock so be careful. Corunna Downs Homestead is also heritage listed and consists of graded strips and homestead complex. Start points are at the homestead and the RAAF base is to the west. Piaggio P-166 All Versions New Flight Dynamics + HTML Handbook Reference Download

File Description:
Thanks to Andrew Spring of www.p166.com!! This is a massive update for the Piaggio P-166 Series aircraft. This Package contains a whole update for ALL the models,(P-166A\M\S\BL2\CL2\DL3\DL3-SEM\DP1) and a pilot handbook in html format. You can read it in the full large version or in the reduced size version re-adapted for the electronic FS2004 kneeeboard as "Reference". All aircraft refer to the same file, so after the introdution to the P-166 and her main characteristics, individual links to the single P-166 versions are included (only "Kneeboard" version). The main improvements in the FDEs are a nice stability making the plane just fly strigght-and-leveled easily, re-calibrated flap and fuselage drags, wich makes for better max speed and landing characteristics. Also flaps and landing gear pitch moments are lots reduced. Now the plane respects the Specs of the real thing completly, even matching the changes from version to version!! in newer versions, engine power output has been recalculated, as well as new payloads and fuel capacities: you can litterally load the passangers and baggage you wish...but don't try to exaggerate, going overweight is not that complex...for instance, try placing a 9999 pounds copilot and guess what happens... Happy Flights!!

Active ILS - KMIA (Miami International Airport) Download

File Description:
By design KMIA is now the most advanced ATC controlled airport in the FS9 database. This is the 4th Airport and the most complex in a series of new ILS runways. As most know initiating the ILS at certain airports for AI Traffic is not a function at this time when using AFCAD2. If you add a new ILS runway to an airport such as KMIA (Miami International Airport 8L/26R) only the user aircraft can use this runway when visibility falls below 3 miles. ATC will no longer use this runway for AI Traffic because FS9 sees it as a visual runway. This will cause ATC to vector your AI Traffic back to 9L/27R (old numbers) 8R/26L (new numbers) which is also a Terminal departure runway. All 4 runways for KMIA are now simultaneously active for both departure and arrival. In the past only the runways closest to the Terminal were for departure, and arrivals used the outer parallel runways. This no longer applies with KMIA. The many options written in the XML are to numerous to list for KMIA so follow the instructions in the README and just sit back (or fly) and plane spot either VMC or IMC for a very active airport. *** FlyTampa-Miami Scenery AFCAD2 and special ILS bgl also included ***

North Central Ecuador v3, including SEQM (SEQU) and SEIB Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
FSX/P3D Version 3 of this scenery is a completely new build of SEQM from the ground up. The entire complex is rendered using FSX objects along with the new highway that connects to the highway infrastructure with AI road traffic. The airport is now at a mean altitude that better blends with the newly included NASA SRTM GL1 30m mesh for the region. The tower is at the correct altitude. Buildings use more accurate footprints, new models, floating jetways, and updated landclass, and work seamlessly with the roads added by FTX Global/Vector. Lakes are corrected within roughly 100 square miles. Although the Ibarra/Atahualpa (SEIB) airport no longer exists, there is an option to add it back. Startup files are included to fly from the lakes and the Ibarra/Atahualpa (SEIB) airport. As a “bonus”, SEQU was restored in this version, because much of the footprint of the airport still remains as part of its conversion to a park. As such, a custom and fully functional SEQU is included for users who would like to revisit the old airport. AI Traffic can be restored at SEQU by simply using the "Reversed SEQU-SEQM AI Traffic" option. Scenery was created using Airport Design Editor X v1.76.6715, SBuilderX 3.13, and the FSX Object Placement Tool. Scenery objects were added and modified from stock FSX scenery to resemble as closely as possible the actual airport. Bill Leaming's Ramp Lights for P3D/FSX illuminate the aprons.

Jabiru J170 (ZU-OPS) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Branded Tail of the GRU Airwing Jabiru. Game Reserves United GRU) is a grouping of both private and provincial reserves on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park that have come together as a united front, working collaboratively to stop rhino poaching. GRU is a coordinated effort to proactively combat rhino poaching across 25 private and provincial nature reserves (200 000ha). The project has been up and running since early 2013 but has thus far been lacking aerial support. In a unique and generous gesture Jabiru S.A. and Jabiru Australia have jointly made available a brand new Jabiru J170 aircraft to launch the GRU-Jabiru Airwing. Len en Les Alford of Jabiru SA felt compelled to contribute towards the anti-rhino poaching campaign and chose GRU to manage the operational side for the aircraft that they are making available. It is also their wish that the aircraft provides an opportunity for professional pilots to gain flying time towards their higher qualifications. Five Hoedspruit pilots were chosen for the roster. Jaco Scheepers and Wynand Uys will collect the aircraft from the Jabiru Factory in George in middle September. The “Rhino-Jab” as the aircraft has become known, is generously fitted with communications and navigational equipment to facilitate the pilots in their task to support the ground forces of the various member reserves. Appropriately, its registration is ZU-OPS.

Pioneer 4 Add-on for Orbiter Download

File Description:
Pioneer 3 and 4 were early satellites designed to be lofted toward Earth's Moon. They were equipped with Geiger counters to measure radiation in space. Pioneer 3 was launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, on December 6, 1958. Because of a slight error in the satellite's velocity and angle after burnout of the Juno II rocket, it did not reach the Moon; instead it achieved a peak altitude of 102,320 kilometers (63,580 miles). The satellite did, however, discover a second radiation belt around Earth during its flight. Pioneer 3 reentered Earth's atmosphere over equatorial Africa a day after launch. Pioneer 4 was launched March 3, 1959, and successfully passed within 60,000 kilometers (37,300 miles) of the Moon the following day. The satellite was tracked for 82 hours to a distance of 655,000 kilometers (407,000 miles) from Earth, a record at that time. Pioneer 4 is now orbiting the Sun, the first U.S. spacecraft placed in solar orbit. The Orbiter version will do a little better than get you within 60,000 kilometers like the real one achieved. The flight profile included usually will get you to within 8,000 kilometers, and sometimes, depending on the mood of your copy of Orbiter, may even impact the moon! However since installations may vary, your distance to the moon on arrival, or even impacting the moon, is not guaranteed. Just like the real thing!

Vanguard 1 Add-on for Orbiter Download

File Description:
Originally a simple nose cone was to be carried aloft, but in July of 1957 it was decided that a small 1.47 kilogram (3.25 pound) test satellite would be used instead to exercise the tracking stations. This test satellite would consist of a simple 16 centimeter (6.4 inch) polished aluminum alloy sphere equipped with two transmitters operating at frequencies around 108 MHz, 6 small solar panels, and 6 dowel like antennas. The satellite was Vanguard I, in which its successes set the pattern for a multitude of other space ventures in this country and abroad. Vanguard also served as a springboard for scientists to launch several series of space probes to study various aspects of radiation phenomena. Vanguard I introduced much of the technology that has been applied in other U.S. satellite programs. For example, it proved that solar cells could be used for several years to power radio transmitters. Vanguard's solar cells operated for about seven years, while conventional batteries used to power another onboard transmitter lasted only 20 days. Now the oldest man-made satellite still in orbit to this day, Vanguard I has been 100 percent successful in meeting all its scientific objectives. Now you can fly this historical satellite in orbit. Unlike all the US Navy failed attempts, the Orbiter version will always get you there.
