This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47C 42-7945 flown by Lieutenant Spiros 'the Greek' Pisanos of the 334th FS, 4th FG, Finschhafen, New Guinea, 1944. Born in Athens, Greece, in the suburb of Kolonos, on 10 November 1919, Spiros Nicholas "Steve" Pisanos, the son of a subway motorman, came to America in April 1938, as a crew member on a Greek Merchant ship. Arriving in Baltimore, Maryland and unable to speak English, Steve found his way to New York City, where he worked in bakeries and restaurants. As he earned money he started flying lessons at Floyd Bennett Field. In August 1940, he setled i Plainfield, New Jersey, his adopted home town, and continued flying lessons at Westfield Airport. He earned a private pilot's license and, although still a Greek national, in October 1941 he joined the British Royal Air Force sponsored by the Clayton Knight Committee in New York City.
Steve began his military flight training at Polaris Flight Academy in Glendale, California. Upon graduation, Pilot Officer Pisanos was transferred to England where he completed RAF Officers Training School at Cosford, England and OTU (Operational Training Unit) at Old Sarum Aerodrome in Salisbury. Pilot Officer Pisanos was posted to the 268 Fighter Squadron at Snailwell Aerodrome in Newmarket flying P-51A's. He later transferred to the 71 Eagle Squadron, one of the three Eagle squadrons in the RAF, comprised of American volunteers flyin Spitfires at Debden RAF Aerodrome.
When the USAAF 4th Fighter Group absorbed the American members of the Eagle Squadrons in September and October 1942, Pilot Officer Pisanos was commissioned a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Forces. On 3 May 1943, Lt. Pisanos was naturalized as an American citizen in London, England, becoming the first individual in American history to be naturalized outside the Continental United States.
Flying his first mission in his P-47 "Miss Plainfield" out of Debden Aerodrome with the 334th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, Lt. Pisanos, "The Flying Greek," scored his first victory on 21 May 1943, when he downed a German FW-190 over Ghent, Belgium. by 1 January 1944 he had become an ace with five confirmed victories. On 5 March 1944, he obtained his 10th victory and while returning from that B-17 escort mission to Limoges and Bordeaux, France, Steve experienced engine failure in his P-51B and crash-landed south of Le Havre. For six months he evaded the Germans and worked with the French Resistance and the American OSS sabotaging the German war machine in occupied France. Lt. Pisanos returned to England on 2 September 1944, following the liberation of Paris.
Upon returning to the United States, Captain Pisanos was assigned to the Flight Test Division at Wright Field, Ohio. He attended the USAF Test Pilot School and subsequently served as a test pilot at Wright Field and Muroc Lake, California, testing the YP-80 jet aircraft. During his career in the USAF, Steve graduated from the University of Maryland, attended the Air Command and Staff College and the Air War College. INSTRUCTIONS AND MORE INFO INCLUDED IN ZIP FILE. INCLUDES 3 OVERLAYS. Hi, I've created these AFCAD files for the Simflyers LAX scenery, as I could not find anything that was truly a; realistic, and b; functioned properly with the MS Fltsim 2002 AI. I've spent many hours testing and tweaking these AFCAD files, so I hope they are perfect enough to be widely used. However, I do stress that some previous experience of using AFCAD and changing aircraft radius sizes will be necessary. Please report any faults which may be discovered! Design tips for the future are always very useful!
WHATS NEW FOR 2.1:
I have changed the direction of takeoff / landing for all of the runways, as the AI appears to behave a lot better this way (less likeliness of aircraft getting stuck!). This has allowed me to move all of the runways used by the KLAX overlay to the north side of the airport, reducing the chances of aircraft landing on top of one another. KLAX also now has some extra Ramp GA Large bays to accomodate for all of the American Eagle Saab 340's! Finally, I have cleaned up the AFCAD removing unecessary nodes etc.

File Description:
Whakatane Airport (ICAO: NZWK) is a small airport serving the town of Whakatane in the Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. It consists of a Asphalt runway flanked with a parallel grass strip and a helipad. While not a particularly busy aerodrome, there are daily movements by Air New Zealand/Eagle Airways Beech 1900Ds, general aviation movements including agricultural aircraft, training flights from the flight school and scenic flights to White Island off the coast of the Bay of Plenty.
Of particular interest is the main terminal, designed by Roger Walker in the modernist style. It has survived in its original form since its construction in the 1970’s and gives a cheerful welcome to visitors disembarking to discover the many natural and cultural attractions in the region.
This particular airport is of interest to me as I began my real world flying training there originally with Scott Air and later with Air Discovery (www.airdiscovery.co.nz) As well as flight training, they also fly scenic tours of White Island and Mount Tarawera.
This Scenery Features: High resolution 10cm imagery for the airport including night map, Custom made buildings including night lighting and window reflections, extensive trees and grass.

| FSX/P3D/FS2004 Air Virginia Fairchild Metroliner II 1982 |

This is a repaint of the Fairchild Metroliner II in Air Virginia 1982 colors. The freeware Fairchild Metro III by Jon Murchison is needed for this repaint. Lynchburg based Air Virginia was formed by Rodney H. Jaeger in January 1979, and started operations with daily flights to Washington DC. They initially used Fairchild (Swearingen) Metro IIs, and Piper Navajo Chieftains. In 1981 they introduced the British Aerospace BAe 748-B2 to the fleet. 1983 saw them buy and merge Mid-South Airlines.
Their route network expanded to 17 destinations by 1984; Maryland, Virginia,New York, New Jersey, Ohio, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. Later that year, the airline was purchased by Dimitri P. Nicholas. In 1985 they became a commuter partner of American Airlines, and inaugurated flights as the third member of the American Eagle commuter network. They changed their name to AV Air in November 1985, but by 1988 the airline ceased operations. This repaint depicts a Fairchild (Swearingen) SA226-TC Metro II of Air Virginia, which was delivered new to the airline in October 1980. Textures are 32bit bmp. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX, FS2004 & P3Dv1-3.

| FSX/P3D Alisarda DC-9-14 1974 |

This is a repaint of the DC-9-14 in Alisarda colors. The freeware Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations' (George Arana) DC-9-10 native FSX conversion with VC, of Erick Cantu's DC-9-10, is needed for this repaint (Link provided). The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3. Alisarda took purchase of two DC-9-14s from Delta Airlines, I-SARJ and I-SARV, both of which were delivered on 11 January 1974. These DC-9-14s were among the first Douglas produced DC-9s that were delivered to Delta Airlines in 1966. With 88 seats and a much longer reach than the Fokker F-27s, the DC-9s were used for charter flights to West Germany. A new color scheme was also introduced with the introduction of the DC-9s. The green with white was replaced by a red with blue and yellow color scheme. In addition to the two DC-9s, the only remaining F-27; I-SARQ, was also equipped with this new color scheme. The DC-9s were eventually replaced by leased DC-9-50s in 1981.

| Messerschmitt Bf 109G-2 "Black 6" |

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the Flight Replicas Bf-109G. This aircraft was fully restored to flying condition and operated for several years at Duxford and unlike every other flying 109G, Black 6 is a real "Augsburg Eagle". The aircraft was built in Leipzig in 1942 and saw brief service with JG 77 in Libya, flown by Lt. Heinz Ludemann. The aircraft, having been grounded due to damage, was captured by Bobby Gibbes and the RAAF with the allied push westward. It was Bobby Gibbes' plan to fly it back to Australia as a war prize but being that it was the first captured G model orders had it sent to Britain for RAF evaluation. The aircraft then was put into storage after the war, being brought out to the public from time to time - every September for Battle of Britain day. In 1991 it flew for the first time again since 1945. In 1997, while performing at Duxford, it was involved in an off-airport ground loop which caused major damage to the airplane but thankfully the pilot survived with very little injury. The aircraft was fully restored following the accident and now can be seen at the RAF Museum, Hendon.

File Description:
CityBird was founded in late 1996 with the slogan "The Flying Dream" as a Belgian leisure airline with a white MD-11 leased from World and two 767s(one in a white livery and one in the green livery). By 1998, there was also an MD-11 in the full CityBird green colors and 2 in full SABENA titles with Swissair stickers that was operated on behalf of those two carriers to North America and Brazil. The 737s and 2 cargo A300 did not come until the very end of 1999 and are not included in these flightplans. The airline offered 3 classes of service, "Royal Eagle" class(buisness), "Premium Flamingo(premium economy), and "Colibri" class(economy). There was an interesting Just Planes\World Air Routes flight in the cockpit video made about this carrier, if that interests you. Michael Pearson has painted the fleet, the FAIB 767-300 is on Avsim as "faib_767-300_ctb.zip" and the FSPX MD-11 as "fspx_md-11_ctb.zip". I am quite proud to present this very detailed and accurate repaint of Aerosur's Boeing 767-284/ER logojet named "Sharko", in the Project Opensky B762 V4 model. This logojet of Aerosur of Bolivia turns heads wherever she goes. She joins a rather large group of other AeroSur logojets, forming a total complement of 8. This aircraft flies into Miami (KMIA) and Dulles (KIAD) in the USA.
This repaint is almost 100% hand painted. All artwork is hand rendered except the AeroSur Eagle logo. Custom textures included in this repaint are; hand-painted realistic 3D windows with window shades, custom tires, custom night textures (and alpha), custom fuselage shading, tug with AeroSur logo, stewardess is a an actual AeroSur stewardess in AeroSur uniform, interior exit signs in Spanish (SALIDA), custom fuselage shading and many others. The screen shots included with this package showcase this detailed repaint and the outstanding Miami International Airport (KMIA) scenery recently released by LatinVFR. Fuselage, engine, wing and tail textures are 32-bit with no mips for best clarity and quality. As this has been one of the most enjoyable and challenging repaints for me, I hope you enjoy flying this wonderful aircraft as much as I did creating it. This is a complete install and contains all Project Opensky provided files current to Version 2004.8.0. The sound is from the default B737.

This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire IXc ML214 5J-K as flown by Squadron Leader Ioannis Agorastos "John" Plagis of RAF 126 (Persian Gulf) Squadron, based in RAF Culmhead, may 1944. S/L Plagis was born in Rhodesia of Greek parents and was officially listed as a Greek pilot with the RAF. He enlisted in october 1940, and was trained in the UK before being sent to the Mediterranean. He flew a Spitfire off HMS Eagle to Malta, where he soon became the first Spitfire ace with 249 squadron. His final score on Malta was 10, keeping a vow he made when a friend of his was shot down by the Germans. He returned to the UK in august 1942 and spent a year as an instructor. He returned to active duty in september 1943 as CO of 64 squadron, and joined No 126 squadron in january 1944. He picked ML214 as his personal aircraft because of the K on the tail, since all his aircraft were always named after his sister Kay. He ended the war flying Mustangs, with an official score of 16 aircraft and two probables, making him the highest ranking Rhodesian and Greek pilot. Republic Airways is a regional airline operating for American, Delta and United as American Eagle, Delta Connection, and United Express respectively. Republic currently operates an EJet airfleet of E170's and E175's. It is based in Indianapolis, Indiana home to the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway, nicknamed "The Brickyard", from which the airline derived its callsign. Because of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in 2016, Republic Airways is now a merger with Shuttle America. To date, Republic Airways has the largest fleet of E170's and E175's in the world. This airframe, an E170SU, was delivered to US Airways Express in 2004, is msn 34 and now flies in the DELTA CONNECTION livery. This particular airframe, registration N815MD, flies primarily routes in the Northeast and Northcentral United States. I tried to represent this aircraft as best I could by including details like wheel colors and the "E170" under the nose of the aircraft. There are inaccuracies in the model, especially the doors, but this is as accurate as I could get it.The repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps for best clarity and quality. This is the Version 3 model of the FeelThere Embraer 170. You must own a copy of the Feelthere E-JETS E170/E190 V3 to enjoy this repaint.
