Super VC10 Panel Upgrade Part 1 Download

File Description:
This panel upgrade for David Maltby's Super VC10 incorporates significant major changes. First the Super VC10 has now become a stand alone aircraft within the "DMFS Shared Files" file structure. This allows for many changes that distinguish the Super VC10 from the Standard. Some already present and some ongoing. The main panel is now in widescreen format i.e. "not stretched!" Many hundreds of other changes have also been made some unseen that make significant differences to the performance of the model. For example the Super has a fin tank now modelled along with correct fuel transfer and jettison procedures. The engines have been totally overhauled with new thrust curves so that their performance is as accurate as possible across the power spectrum. A consequence of this is that throttle control is now much more precise. Internal engine sounds have been completely revised and are as close as possible to the sound one would hear from the cockpit. There are in addition numerous new panels that are fully functional such the Oxygen panel. This means that cabin altitude and depressurisation are all potential factors and must be attended to. Though you do have an oxygen mask (so don it if necessary or face the consequences!). There is a tiller for ground manoeuvring. There are just too many changes and additions to list here but they are listed in the documentation. Another important addition is refuelling. Refuelling can only be done from an underwing point. To assist is a dedicated new fuel uplift spreadsheet which incorporates a facsimile of a real Super VC10 load sheet allowing you to change passenger loads etc. Everything is explained in the "Technical and Operational Procedures Manual" pdf file as well as the "VC10 FLYING MANUAL" pdf file which contains all the full checklists not cut down for sim use. With ongoing work the intention is that this will become a "study" simulation. If you do not already have David Maltby's Super VC10 model then download it from here. http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/vickers_vc10.htm Follow his instructions and make sure everything is working as expected before downloading these updates.

C-17 Globemaster III/ER Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The C-17 Globemaster III/ER is a heavy cargo aircraft used by several foreign militaries, but primarily the U.S. Air Force. She is designed to do many things that other cargo aircraft cannot, based on her unique design. This version incorporates the extended range fuel tanks. The real world aircraft can actually use reverse thrust in flight, up to 100% reverse power, during descents or on the ground. It is also the only heavy aircraft in the world with a wing efficiency factor over 1.0, which is theoretically impossible, but true. All of the dynamics in this model are correct down to the inch, so she does almost everything the real aircraft does. Some things are not possible in FSX, including reverse thrust while in flight, but full flaps/slats employed in a steep descent will adequately simulate this effect without damage to the model while in flight. The landing gear are authentic and capable of heavy loads. The weight and balance is authentic. The fuel tanks are authentic. The aircraft name, tail number, location, and callsign are authentic. The calculated range(s) listed are all authentic, understanding that most public data released is based on average range, at average altitude, and normal payload missions. The sound is authentic. The engine dynamics are authentic. The panel used is the best I could find, is fairly authentic, and requires some pre-flight study before flight. All-in-All the aircraft is very simple to fly, but requires some study to operate correctly, so I recommend all simmers watch as many "You Tube" videos, read as many authentic sites, and study as much as possible about this aircraft before operation. It cannot be sold or bundled for sale, and such will never be approved by me or the original authors. FREEWARE DISTRIBUTION ONLY!!! Douglas E. Trapp, [email protected], July 2018

AN-22 Antheus Mastered Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
THIS IS MY FINAL AN-22 VERSION: Unveiled to the West in 1965, the Antonov An-22 was the world's largest aircraft, until the advent of the Lockheed C-5A Galaxy. Powered by 4 contra-rotating turboprops, the design remains the world's largest turboprop-powered airplane. The An-22 was originally built for the Soviet Air Force and Aeroflot, the state airline. A total of 68 aircraft were built during 1965-1975, from which 2 never flew, 19 have been preserved, and 33 removed from service. Currently only 7 are in service. Six of them are used by the Russian Air Force and one (UR-09307) belongs to Antonov Design Bureau, used for civil needs, and operates out of UKKM. The AN-22 is designed to carry heavy loads of 80 tonnes over a 3,000 nm range at high speed and moderate altitude. The civilian model is used for long and medium range flights with updated avionics and flight controls. The wing has a forward and rear sweep effect with a low taper ratio and moderate wing area for it's size. The tail includes twin vertical fins that help maintain stability. The engines are constant speed turboprops that include 2 four bladed contra-rotating props with auto-pitch, and this gives her a thrust rating of 15,211 shp and a fuel efficiency of .353 lb/hp/hr. The cargo area is 14 ft high and wide, and 108 ft long. All fuel is contained within the wings and in the upper fuselage (7 tanks). She has 12 wheels that carry most of the weight, and two steering wheels located behind the crew cabin. Cargo is loaded through the rear loading ramp. The cockpit is located high, as well as the crew quarters. Additional passengers (when present) are seated below the cockpit forward. Original Design and Textures by: Enrique Del Rosario; Sound by: Aaron R. Swindle; Panel by: Marco Spada; Auto Smoke Effects by Richard Wisman; Engine/Aero Dynamics, effects and data by: Douglas E. Trapp. Please Read the Readme AN22.txt file before operations.

Air Jamaica / Caribbean Airlines, Boeing 737-8Q8 (9Y-AJM) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
I am proud to present this beautiful Boeing 737-8Q8 in the Project Opensky model in the newly unveiled Air Jamaica / Caribbean Airlines livery. On January 14, 2011, Caribbean Airlines re-launched the Air Jamaica brand with a ceremony at Kingston's Norman Manley International Airport (MKJP) with the arrival of the newest aircraft in the Air Jamaica fleet. This Boeing 737-8Q8, wrapped in Air Jamaica's new livery featuring the airlines iconic signature colors and Doctor Bird (a national symbol of Jamaica) paired with the Caribbean Airlines logo and the Hummingbird, presents a vibrant demonstration of this new partnership.

This repaint is highly detailed. Windows are custom textures with custom shades. The fuselage textures and shading are custom. Many of the logos are hand painted. Night textures are also custom. All repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps for best clarity and quality. This is a complete installation package; Project Opensky B737-800W model and air files included.

UNITED Post Merger Livery Boeing 767-224/ER (N76156) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
As I looked around, I could not find the UNITED Airlines post Continental Merger livery in the Project Opensky Boeing 767 V4 model. I'm sure some of you all still fly this excellent freeware model, so here she is. This is one of UNITED's 8 remaining B762's. This aircraft flies regularly from Newark (KEWR) to Munich, Paris (Charles de Gaulle) and Milan. From Houston (KIAH) it flies regularly to Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires. It also makes regular flights between Houston and Newark. This detailed repaint has custom GE engine textures, front to back. As with my recent AMX SKYTEAM repaint, I wanted to accentuate the chrome finish on the cowl intakes as well as the polish on the exhaust housing. The tail logo is also hand painted. All repainted textures are 32-bit without mip maps. This is a complete install and contains all Project Opensky B762 V4 provided files current to Version 2004.8.0. The sound is from the default B737.

Aloha Airlines, Boeing 737-230, 60th Anniversary 'Funbird' RetroJet (N823AL) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
As part of its 60th Anniversary commemoration, Aloha Airlines has brought the groovy looking "Funbird" livery of the late '60s to mid '70s to one of its B732s. Yeah baby! This is that B737-230, registration N823AL, named "Liholiho". It has been re-painted in these retro "Flower Power" colors. This aircraft started service halfway around the world in Germany, being delivered originally to Lufthansa in January of 1984. She wore the Aloha Airlines livery for the first time in December of 1996. This aircraft is highly detailed and all hand painted, right down to all the little flowers. If you want to light up your 'mouse' at night, I recommend Matthew Lue's Tinmouse II lighting effects (AVSIM DLID 89742).

This is a textures only package; you must have the Tinmouse 737-200adv v2 base package available here at AVSIM (tinmouse_ii_v1_25.zip). The textures in this repaint are 32-bit with no mips. NOTE: This is a re-upload due to the AVSIM site compromise.
