YKLN Kulin Town and YJLN Kulin, Jilakin Rock, Western Australia Download

File Description:
YKLN Kulin Town and YJLN Kulin, Jilakin Rock. Kulin is located in the upper great southern Wheatbelt of Western Australia, the Shire of Kulin covers an area of 4,790 square kilometres. It encompasses the towns of Kulin, Pingaring, Dudinin, Jitarning, and Holt Rock. The Kulin economy is based on agriculture and was settled by pastoralists in 1905. The crosswind runway is actually 7 miles to the east at Jilakin Rock and slopes uphill to the east. For convenience, I have used fictitious YJLN. Jilakin Downs is a Dorper sheep stud farm and the home of the Kulin Bush Races. Dorpers are currently under a cloud in Western Australia as the local abatoirs claim their hair is contaminating the meat and won't accept them. "We welcome air traffic to our 2012 Kulin Bush Races Weekend. A crosswind airstrip is available, with a shuttle bus service to the Jilakin Track. GPS position is S32-39-95 E118-18-71 and the elevation is 950 feet. The strip is 7 nautical miles east of the town of Kulin. Camping and toilets are close to the strip so that you can camp near your plane. Kulin airstrip is also available for landing and takeoff during the weekend, a shuttle bus is available to take you out to the race track. If this option is chosen please contact Barry West. Please contact Barry West for flying information on 9880 9021" www.kulin.wa.gov.au/tourism_and_local_events/kulin_bush_races/flying_visit.html REQUIRES Blencowe_LibraryKit.zip

Tandragee airfield, home of "Kernan Aviation" - Northern Ireland - v1.00 Download

File Description:
Tandragee airfield Northern Ireland, home of "Kernan Aviation" for FSX SP2/Accel/P3D. by Vassilios Dimoulas v1.00 6-10-2014br> Kernan Aviation (http://www.kernanaviation.co.uk/) operates a fleet of microlight aircraft out of a home strip about two miles north of the town of Tandragee, Northern Ireland. The field is as described in their site, a home strip. There is a 300m long gravel runway with just 3.5m width. The runway intersects a road and has a generally North-South direction (actually 355-175 magnetic). There is an equivalent length grass runway to the east just over the small stream where students practice grass tngs and emergency landings. The field sports a roomy hangar, a clubhouse and a briefing house, as well as outdoor seating and barbecue facilities.

The scenery uses photoreal background and is made to match the FTX Northern Ireland region by ORBX. It will work best with that region activated. Seasonal variations are included for all seasons, including hard winter with snow (January). In order however to cater for those not having this scenery I have provided alternative background bgls for two more options, i.e. ORBX Global textures and GEX textures. The alternative bgls do not have the hard winter option as this is a feature only of FTX NI. The scenery will have also no problem to fit with UTX and Global vector. All buildings were custom made from photos of the original. The scenery has been tested and found to work also in P3D v2.3.

B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2242 for The B24 Guy's OH Download

File Description:
B25-B Mitchell Doolittle's Raiders A/C No. 40-2242, April 18, 1942. Painted over The B24 Guy's B25 Mitchell Overhaul Model. This was mission plane # 8. Pilot: Capt. Edward J. (Ski) York, Co-pilot: Lt. Robert G. Emmens, Navigator: Lt. Nolan A. Herndon, Bombardier: S/Sgt Theodore H. Laban, Engineer/Gunner: Sgt. David W. Pohl. The bomb group attacked targets in the Tokyo area. The North American B-25B was not designed or intended for aircraft carrier use, but there they were, sixteen highly modified bombers sitting on the deck of the USS Hornet (CV-8). They were modified to carry bombs to Tokyo. The B-25s are launched from their maximum range, and flew over Tokyo, bombing several installations. The bombs did little damage, but managed to damage the Japanese carrier Ryuho while it is in drydock. Many of the planes then head to wherever they can make it, since the fuel will be empty before they reach a friendly airbase. All of the B-25 bombers are forced to bail out or crash land except one. Eleven crews are forced to bail out over China, 3 crash land, and the last landed safely at Vladivostok. The crew that landed in Russia was interned, along with the plane, for a while. The crews were all volunteer, and had no carrier experience, yet all sixteen of the bombers were successful on take-off. Texture, and Damage Files included. Note the three windows in both port and starboard bulkheads. By revev. Enjoy!

Although little physical damage was inflicted on Japan, that day, the Japanese populace was demoralized, as suddenly, the war was brought to their homeland. Enjoy!
