This is an edit of the default green & white paint. I edited the textures in Photoshop to change the green into red. The red color is the same shade used by Bush Flying Unlimited, but there are no BFU logos on it.

Working TACAN Beacons in Germany

File Description:
Working TACAN Beacons in Germany: In real-life TACAN beacons require a TACAN receiver to receive the course (OBS) information of the beacon. With a civil VOR/DME receiver you only receive the distance (DME) to the beacon. The problem in FS is that there are no dedicated TACAN gauges, so it's not possible to perform TACAN approaches, because this requires course information of the beacon. To overcome this problem i've modified the TACAN beacons in Germany so you can fully use them with civil receivers. And so are able to fly TACAN approaches. This is my third resuce mission. Two inexperience hikers decide to do some winter backpacking on a trail in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and get lost in a snowstorm. You have been called to help search for them This mission is rated EXPERT. There are no pointers in the mission, you must be able to understand a areonotic sectional chart and know how to navigate using VOR(s) to locate both the hiker and the hospital. Find ICAO in BGL-files

File Description:
Data about airports and navaids (among others) are contained in binary files - generally in ...\scenery\*.bgl files in FS9 as well as in FSX. Apart from simple modifications of such data, which are possible using the AFCAD 2 AddOn tool, changes of parameters at a specified location have to be made within one of the bgl files mentioned by disassembling, re-writing and re-compiling them. As there exist hundreds of these files in the simulation program, it is not easy to find the correct one for a modification of the corresponding data. automates the search for the right bgl file by parsing all files in a selected folder or even in a whole subdirectory tree: Given the ICAO code of an airport or navaid, the program creates a text file with the position(s) and name(s) - if there are any - of those bgl files in either FS9 or FSX, in which the searched data is hidden. The program does not alter or delete existing files.
