| Alaskan Commuter #9: North Alaskan Skies 2002 |

File Description:
Enhancements to 50 land-based airports in Northern Alaska. Includes static aircraft and additional airport structures as well as easy to install landclass files. These landclass files add small villages and stands of conifers that blanket the surrounding areas. The experience can be further enhanced with autogen tree replacements by either Ed Truthan or Gerrish Gray (download separately). This will greatly improve the look of autogen conifers, and multiply their numbers significantly. The results are realistic approaches over thickly forested areas into bush airports with small nearby communities, and it is fairly gentle on frame rates. If you download this scenery, and if you are not using these replacement trees, I recommend (no, I insist) that you download one of those utilities now. Look for "conifers.zip" by Ed Truthan or "MSTrees2.zip" by Gerrish Gray.

File Description:
This is a special challenge for the racing fans. In this challenge you will race arcoss the U.S from the Maine to Alaska. There are many challenges ahead, Some are easy while some are very hard. You will start in Caribou,Maine and hug the east coast all the way down to Key West, Fl. You can use any turbo prop or prop aircrafts the faster the better. No Jets. You can visit downtown Boston or fly over New York City and take the grand tour. You pick the route, the east coast race ends in Key West, Fl and begins there also. I have added alot of information that you can use on your trip if you like. Also upgrade your Scenrey and AFCAD files to get a better feel of the race.

FSX McDonnell Douglas DC-10-15 air charter 4-pack repaint textures for the
freeware Thomas Ruth/Eric Cantu McDonnell Douglas DC-10 series. I use the
updated for FSX with VC models multi-pack (tomdc10.zip), which includes the -10,
-15, -30, and -40 models. With plenty of life left before heading to the boneyard,
these DC-10's are pressed into service with four small time mom and pop charter
operators... Charterlink America, Holiday Alaska Charters, Honolulu Aero Charter,
and Tropicanada Island Tours. These repaints work with any of the four Ruth/Cantu
model variations, I just chose the -15 as my painting platform. Also includes
engine exhaust smoke coordinates for FSX which you can add to your various model's
"aircraft.cfg" files if you wish. Screenshots enclosed. Easy installation.

Textures for Libardo Guzman's Electra model.
L-188A Electra c/n 1094 original 1959 delivered to Western AL, 1968 converted to Combi L-188PF and to Intl. Jetair Canada as CF-IJY, then as N405GN from 1977 to 1979, flew for Great Northern in Alaska as part of the development of the North Slope oil fields.

Attention, the large cargo hatches cannot be opened on the Guzman model!
I recommend using Fraser McKay's excellent panel (FML188AP.zip available at Flightsim.com) including the config. and air. files supplied with this panel package. These provide exact aircraft's characteristics and enable certain systems to function correctly, which those provided with the original model may not.

| Excursion Inlet Cannery for the "Glacier Bay" scenery |

File Description:
Excursion Inlet is in Alaska and in the area covered by Holger Sandmann's scenery called "Glacier Bay" which you will need to have already installed. It might work with just Ultimate Terrain, but then there will be no float base in the same inlet (nicely modelled by Holger and the team) which from the air is pushed off to one side (as a significant landmark, not literally!) by a large cannery which has been there since 1908. And rebuilt several times, I hasten to add, so don't think you're getting a museum piece here. And the only thing nearby that looms larger than the cannery is nature; lots of water, mountains, and trees. For me to start this Holger's scenery had to be there, so without it you won't get the same result.

| De Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otter (LN-IKI) Transit Air |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Milviz DHC-3 Otter. It shows LN-IKI as it looked when flying with Transit Air of Norway in 1983. Built in 1954 with c/n 30, it was shipped to Norway in crates and was assembled at Kjeller Air Base Norway, before joining the Norwegian Air Force. It was struck off in 1967 and became LN-IKI with Varangfly A/S of Kirkenes. It was severely damaged in 1972, when it landed on water with the wheels down, but was repaired. In 1984, it went to the US as N4683K. After a few years in Canada as C-FWAF, it is now flying in Alaska as N63354, based in Juneau. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Milviz.

The McDonnell Douglas F-4 E/F Phantom 2 is a two-seat, twin-engined, all-weather, long-range supersonic fighter-bomber originally developed for the U.S. Navy by McDonnell Aircraft. Proving highly adaptable, it became a major part of the air wings of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, and U.S. Air Force. It was used extensively by all three of these services during the Vietnam War, serving as the principal air superiority fighter for both the Navy and Air Force, as well as being important in the ground-attack and reconnaissance roles by the close of U.S. involvement in the war.
First entering service in 1960, the Phantom continued to form a major part of U.S. military air power throughout the 1970s and 1980s, being gradually replaced by more modern aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon in the U.S. Air Force and the F-14 Tomcat and F/A-18 Hornet in the U.S. Navy. It remained in service in the reconnaissance and Wild Weasel roles in the 1991 Gulf War, finally leaving service in 1996. Phantoms remain in front line service with seven countries, and in use as an unmanned target in the U.S. Air Force. Phantom production ran from 1958 to 1981, with a total of 5195 built. This extensive run makes it the second most-produced Western jet fighter, behind the famous F-86 Sabre at just under 10,000 examples.

File Description:
This package is an all new release of my original prop dust FX. This gauge/effects package automatically senses the terrain the aircraft is in contact with or flying over and changes the prop dust and water FX for the aircrafts prop/rotor wash based on dirt, dry mud or clay, snow, rain, water, ice, sand, gravel and short grass. In addition the real time surface conditions are also sensed. In example: a dry asphalt or concrete runway will produce no prop dust/wash; however, the same runway with snow/rain conditions present will automatically produce a throttle controlled snow/rain blowing effect. FX files and gauges are included for large and small, single engine, multi-engine, amphibians, helicopters, seaplanes and massive scale military and commercial land/water transports. This package requires manually editing/adding lines in the aircraft.cfg and panel.cfg files. The README files include very complete and comprehensive instructions with a quick and easy copy/paste file for all the Microsoft prop aircraft and 13 other popular aircraft. I have also provided a QUICK REFERENCE file for current Nicks Prop Dust users for the new seaplane gauge and new FX location formulas. Nick's ALL WET is wild splashing and spraying bow/skid water FX designed for amphibians, seaplanes and boats which includes water droplets on the 2D and VC windshield as the plane barrels through the water on takeoff and landing. McDonnell Douglas F-4C Phantom II (AI Phantoms Phorever Part 1). This is one of the most iconic military aircraft of all time, ushering in the modern age of air combat; from Asia to the Middle East; and many of the 5,057 manufactured airframes are still in active use today, after over five decades of excellent service. This model set utilized FSDS source files for Nick Black's original F-4E Phantom II 8-LOD AI model, and has been heavily modified for this project. Numerous changes are listed in the extensive documentation with this file. This file contains early and late F-4C base models, as well as the EF-4C Wild Weasel variant. The three main aircraft variants include a total of 24 loadout options, and numerous paints representing these aircraft in service. I have also included a layered Photoshop paint kit for eager repainters. Of particular note, for the F-4C late model, is a large collection of 58th Tactical Fighter Training Wing repaints from my hometown Luke AFB from the 1970s. This project is the first part of what will hopefully be a comprehensive and fairly complete (AI traffic) history of this aircraft. I did not do this alone by any means, and all contributors that I can think of are listed in the documentation. This is the complete aircraft, with all main FS textures and effects included. Original FSDS source and paint kit by Nick Black; FDE by Mike MacIntyre, all model/paint kit modifications and repaints by Michael Pearson.
