Alaskan Cities

File Description:
These files are 41 cities and towns in Alaska that Microsoft left out. They are small in size and easy to install. I have used Topozone.com to see where the cities and towns are in relation to the airport. They are as accurate as I can make them, but they are not supposed to be accurate. This scenery was created with John Cillis's LandClass Assistant.

They fly with Beech 99C from Barrow, Kotzebue and Nome to Atqasuk, Nuiqsut, Deadhorse, Noatak, Buckland, Selawik, Savoonga, etc... Nice repaint of Henry Tomkiewicz' Beech C99 by Chris Peschke available here at Avsim. Search for "Cape Smythe". Includes needed Afcad2 for airports wich not allow AI traffic in fs9. See readme file.

AI Flight Plans for Larry's Flying Service (Alaska). Time flights according to their website. They fly with Piper Navajo from Fairbanks to Ft Yukon, Anaktuvuk, Galena, Kaltag, Ruby, Huslia, etc... Nice repaint of Dee Waldron's Piper Navajo in Larry's Flying Service colour by Dave Hirschbuh available here at Avsim. Search for "larryspa31.zip". Includes needed Afcad2 to allow AI traffic at PABT and WBQ.

Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 74

File Description:
We have 8 takeoffs in Japan and 2 in Korea. Some winter rain as we make some nice hops. On the last leg it starts out so innocently but can be fatal as you prepare to land. IFR anyone? We have mapped out our progress on our way to Alaska. See the Progress Map. So far, 747 takeoffs and landings and 140,727 miles flown.

Admiralty Air Service Cessna U206 Amphibious Floats

File Description:
This a re-paint of Carenado’s Cessna U206 in the livery for Admiralty Air service, a VA based out of Juneau, Alaska. You must possess Carenado’s U206 for these textures to work. Special thanks to Paul Grenier for the use of his outstanding floats and Carenado for their blank textures. Also Included is a wake effect that I believe is superior to the FS9 default effect.

Star Air Lines Inc. Ford Tri-Motor - Circa 1940-41 Alaska Territory, Anchorage.

File Description:
The Microsoft default Ford Tri-Motor painted in "Star Air Lines Inc." livery. Repaint is based on two old black & white photographs. The markings are limited due to model imposed limitations. Repainted by Mr. Garry J. Smith. This Alaska based airline had just changed names and ownership 1937. The time of this repaint is about 1940. Valid registration numbers are NC-9651 or NC-8419. Good flying!!

Long Beach (KLGB) Terminal Upgrade

File Description:
Upgrade of the default terminal at Long Beach, California (KLGB). I redid the terminal using default-style buildings. It isn't a full-fledged scenery and realistic representation of LGB's terminal, but the shape of the terminal (and adjacent parking garage) are close to accurate, although they are still default buildings. An AFCAD is included that puts Jetblue, Alaska, American, America West, and Delta at their proper places.

Hopping Round the World Adventure - Pack 76

File Description:
We have 10 takeoffs in Japan. Look for Mt Fuji while cruising in your Baron. Also some bumpy air in the Learjet and snow showers on the last leg while flying the Boeing 737-500. The heavy showers in Leg 3 and Leg 4 keep things interested. With Japan almost done we can almost see Russia and Alaska. 767 takeoffs/landings and 142,904 miles flown so far!
