The ARX-5X (Concept 5) is a single-seat unlimited category aerobatic aircraft built around the 495c.i. 600hp Trace-Orenda OE600 V-8 aircraft engine and designed specifically for freestyle airshow type aerobatics.
Version 2 has a totally new airfile and flight dynamics - the plane can easily handle compulsory competition maneuvers as well as more advanced gyroscopic maneuvers such as lomcovaks and tumbles.
The ARX-5X cruises around 200kts, with a never-exceed speed of 240kts. This FSX native model contains animations, reflections, environment mapping, spec mapping and a full dynamic virutal cockpit. Although it is not a real aircraft it does have several real-world components such as the Chelton Fligh Systems EAU (engine airdata unit) display, and a Hartzell "scimitar" swept blade propeller.
This release is not a quick & dirty update simply "ported" into FSX, it is a full FSX rebuild by the original authors, compiled with XtoMDL and conforming the FSX SDK using dds textures and new modeling techniques for the best overall end-user performance. Includes 2 configs, 7 models, and 20 schemes with a custom smoke system and night time pyrotechnic effects. Aircraft, effects, and panel by Jason L. Terry and Mike VIvaldi. Aditional Skins by Brady Duros and Joshua B. Nyhus.

Panel Package
Along with the modifications I've made to Greg Pepper's wonderful Albatross, I felt that a upgrade for the panel was overdue.
The changes consist of a revised set of primary flight instruments in keeping with the chronological period.
The airspeed gauge is part of Greg's gauge set that he provided with the aircraft.
The attitude gauge and turn indicator come from Jens Christensen's DC-6 gauge package.
The altimeter, gyro and vertical speed were designed by Scott Thomas from his Aero Commander 500 gauge package.
The Bendix King radios were designed by Pierre Fasseaux.
The KLN90 gps was designed by Ike Slack.
I've also included Rob Barendregt's Ground Handling package and the RKG Fuelstat gauge.
A few notes on using this panel:
Please read Pierre's instructions for proper operation of the autopilot before you fly.
The GPS will load the flight plan you specify from FS9.
There is a hot spot in the upper left corner of the radio stack that will close it when it isn't needed.

The ARX-6 is a single-place Formula One pylon racing aircraft and is built to the specs of the International Formula 1 Air Racing association. Like all Formula One race planes, it is built around the Continental O-200. This is the same 100hp engine that barely powers a Cessna 150 to 100kts but on the small extremely lightweight and aerodynamic airframes of formula one racers the top aircraft can push 300mph. With very few instruments, and less than average ground handling, Formula One aircraft are very clean "no frills" machines that serve only one purpose - flying low, flying fast, and turning left. Update! New version fixes WideViewAspect setting not working in the earlier version. It also lets you see the last profile that was applied. Please uninstall the earlier version, and then install this.
FSX Settings Editor lets you create fsx.cfg profiles for different scenarios which you can quickly apply to your fsx.cfg file. Create different settings profiles and switch between them quicker than ever before. Some of the scenarios for which profiles can be created:
- Flying Rural Areas with Light GA Aircraft (Graphics can be set High)
- Flying Dense Urban Areas (Graphics can be lowered to improve FPS)
- Different profiles for flying VFR, IFR, max weather, min weather max terrain etc
- Testing out different settings to achieve max FPS with acceptable eye-candy
I created this tool to help me quickly change my FSX settings to the type of flight I intend to perform. Manually editing the fsx.cfg file, keeping separate copies of fsx.cfg file for different scenarios, or using the limited FSX save config functionality proved cumbersome and time-consuming.
Please backup your fsx.cfg before using this tool. Comments, issues, questions or suggestions are welcome.

Sutton Bank XSUT version 2 - Home of Yorkshire Gliding Club.Mike Brown contacted me to say that he now uses Prepar3D and my Gliding Club scratch buildings did not show. In 2008 I was using Instant Object Maker to produce these. I have reworked them with Instant Object Studio so that they now appear in Prepar3D Ok. I then decided to replace the original generic hangars with scratch built ones so I am now releasing this as an FSX version 2.

This is a series adding varied people at G. Guichard FSX Terrains Sceneries, namely the Dijonnais' terrains, Tournus airfield, Monaco heliport, and Algiers' Houari Boumediene airport as contained in the dijonnais_terrains_3.0.zip, tournfx.zip, monacfsx.zip et houabox.zip files, respectively. Such files are adding a little more life to that sceneries. Comes with a French readme too. Freeware.
