"Tongass Remote Airfield" (RATR) Alaskan scenery (Fictitious)
Tongass Remote Airfield is for Flight Simulator 2004 and for the "Tongass Fjords" (FS9) addon by Holger Sandmann & Bill Womack . You must have "Tongass Fjords" (FS9) for this to work.
Field history and description:
In the early days this area was well known to prospectors and hunters. A small mine was established and later abandoned. Around the late 40���¢��������s a crew was contracted to clear a small landing area to gain easier access for hunters and campers. Due to the extreme remoteness of this area that clearing took several years. The last phase was the approach, clearing by hand a descending glide slope through just the tops of the tall trees. There is now just enough room for a very experienced pilot to get in and out of this field. The airfield is 26 miles north of Petersburg Alaska (PAPG). This is a tricky narrow approach with a left hand dogleg and then an immediate right hand dogleg turn just before the final approach. Not much time to set up your approach, also, it's a very short runway. For experienced pilots only, and make sure that your life insurance is up to date. See enclosed Maps and info. Good luck.

This folder contains a repaint for the Percival Sea Prince by Rob Richardson, in the colors of RM-7 of the Belgian Air Force, in the paintscheme it wore in its first year of service. In 1953 the Belgian Government ordered 12 Percival Pembroke's through Contract N° SP140 as a replacement for the ageing Avro Anson.The aircraft was used for short-range transport and liaison flights. Between 1956 and 1957 several brand-new Pembrokes were stored at Wevelgem awaiting a future detachment to the Belgian Congo, which eventually never materialised.
A number of Pembrokes were also used for the benefit of the Belgian National Geographical Institute that used the aerial photographs obtained with the Pembrokes to produce very detailed maps of the country. In 1978 the Pembrokes were struck of charge after their replacement, the Swearingen Merlin III became operational. All but two Pembrokes were sold to the rather dark company Air America (not to be confused with the CIA-supported Air America that was operational in South-East Asia), which was owned by a drugsdealer. After some very adventurous carreers in Souith America, several former Belgian Pembrokes were acquired and preserved in the USA. RM-7 is preserved in Belgium at Melsbroek air base by the Dakota Historical Center 15th Wing. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Rob Richardson.

(Shareware, non time limited and fully functional - limited to the Seattle area). FS2004 Active Camera 2004. This version replaces Active Camera 2004 1.0 (ac2004.zip). With this module you can enable additional views in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century of Flight. Several new camera views are selectable from the FS2004 - Options menu. When activated this module replaces the original tower and virtual cockpit views of FS2004. Features: Fly by, approach and spotter view, mouse driven spot plane view, allows mouse panning, zooming and clicking, discover spectacular effects like head latency, pre-stall buffeting, ground turbulence, thanks to FS2004 interactive virtual cockpits it is easy to move the mouse, pan and click, so allowing a more realistic way of flying, the virtual pilot can walk in the cabin (ability to create passenger and wing views) and outside of the aircraft, ability to save and call up to 10 views presets per aircraft, either in the VC or in external view, and this for an unlimited number of aircraft, ambient sounds like steps, wind and aircraft stress sounds, main features can be called through keyboard shortcuts, built-in TCAS that allows AI traffic tracking view (dynamic padlock like in combat simulators).

Active Camera 2002. With this module you can enable additional views in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2002. Several new camera views are selectable from the FS2002 - Options menu. When activated this module replaces the original tower and virtual cockpit views of FS2002. Features: fly by, approach and spotter view, mouse driven spot plane view, allows mouse panning and zooming in the VC, walking in the cabin, walking outside of the aircraft (ambient sounds like steps, wind and aircraft stress sounds), head latency function, pre-stall buffeting effect, ground turbulence effect, ability to save and call up to 10 presets of views in the VC per aircraft for an unlimited number of aircraft. This version replaces Active Camera 2002 (AC2002.zip) uploaded to the AVSIM library on 20 June 2003. Some users encountered troubles to "handle" the spot plane view parameters, got a trembling image in Spot plane view and could not pan. To make things more simple we added : " Use mouse in spot view", a new option in the AC2002 menu that enables the Active Camera Spot Plane view. If "Use mouse in spot view" is unchecked, THE FS DEFAULT SPOT PLANE VIEW is active. Bug corrected : sometimes recycling views from 2D to 3D jumped over the virtual cockpit. Updated shortcut table.

Not long ago I embarked on a project to streamline my flight simulator's AI setup. I knew I had too many aircraft texture sets that I was not using, too many unnecessary night texture files, installation of defunct airlines, and the like. So, I put together a spreadsheet showing my AI system with all the airlines and additional pieces such as vehicles and ships. This has been a very large and time-consuming project as my AI system has more than 7,000 texture sets, more than 2,200 airline folders, and other assorted AI components. Inside you'll find an Excel spreadsheet with all my airlines (more than 2,200) listed, Birds, Blimp, Corporate Aircraft, Defunct Airlines, Douglas DC-3, Float Planes, Government Aircraft, Helicopters, Medical Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Personal Registration Aircraft, Ships, and Vehicles - all associated with the FS AI system. In addition, I've included the spreadsheet's source text files for those that do not have Microsoft Excel. NOTE: You can download an MS Excel spreadsheet viewer (freeware) from the Microsoft site. Because of copyright restrictions and the size of my AI system, I have not provided links to specific files. However, I think you'll find the data very useful. This is the 7th repaint of my in progress NHL collection.All repaints are of "Eric Dantes" Beechcraft Twin Bonanza. All NHL teams will be represented.These repaints are not layered so each one has to be redrawn in its offical colors.This repaint has new 2D graphics on the wings and tail section.I hope to complete at least two a week,hopefully more :).All repaints will have two liveries,one with team logos and one without logos.
All NHL team names were put in two hats, Eastern Conference and Western Conference, they are drawn one from each hat at random.The next repaint will be the Ottawa Senators.Look for it soon. :)I hope you have as much fun collecting all 30 liveries as I will have painting them!
