FS2004 Scenery - Dover Air Force Base or Dover AFB (IATA: DOV, ICAO: KDOV, FAA LID: DOV) is a United States Air Force base located two miles southeast of the city of Dover, Delaware. Dover AFB is home to the 436th Airlift Wing (436 AW) of the Air Mobility Command (AMC), known as the "Eagle Wing", and the AMC-gained 512th Airlift Wing (512 AW) of the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC), referred to as the "Liberty Wing". It was the only base to solely operate the massive C-5 Galaxy, with two active flying squadrons (the 3rd Airlift Squadron, which now operates the C-17 Globemaster III, and 9th Airlift Squadron) and two Air Force Reserve flying squadrons (the 326th Airlift Squadron and the 709th Airlift Squadron). File Description:
This file contains several BGL's which enhance the default
FSX Nellis Air Force Base (KLSV ). I have added some
ramp parking for miltary aircraft. Additionally, I have added several
scenery objects to enhance the visual experience.
The other change I made was to eliminate the "mesa effect" caused by
the stock FSX airport as it sits above/below the surrounding
terrain using "sloped flattens" to blend the airport level
terrain into the surrounding terrain.
I am using the "FSX Usa 10 M terrains Project - West Coast Version 1.1"
mesh but the default FSX mesh should blend O.K.

This is a rather large airport and may lag on some slow machines but all in all is fully functional. AI traffic is supported but not included. Beginning with it's inception as a B-17 training field, Ellsworth has changed and upgraded itself through it's history as host to B-29's, B-36's, B-52s, and finally the B-1 Lancer. One of only two dedicated bases world-wide for the Lancer this base sports a combination of new and old with proud traditions. This package features custom FSDS scenery with seasonal ground cover. Although designed primarily for use with MAIWs B-1B Lancer package (maiw_ellsworth_afb_221720.zip) it will of course work with all aircraft. This version is an upgrade which corrects the file name, some errors in documentation and adds the missing taxi-signs. Thanks to folks for reporting the errors.
