File Description:
This livery represents a fictional "What if" repaint set of the magnificent payware Nemeth Design Bell UH-1C in Royal Netherlands Navy (Marines) Liveries.
In the 60-ies the Royal Netherlands Navy purchased a number of Agusta licence built Bell-204 (UH-1B) helicopters for SAR, ASW and light utility tasks.
This set of repaints resembles a "What if" Dutch version of the Bell UH-1C. What if the RNLN purchased a line of Bell UH-1 Charlies beside the fleet of Bravos.
in order to support the Dutch Royal Marines. With this line of helicopters maintained in service at other Marines/occupied locations in that timeframe they
would have been seen at NAS Valkenburg and NAS De Kooy in the mid and late 70's.
These liveries have nose art (Marines deployment to the Korean conflict in the 50's), pointing back to the rich history of one of the oldest marine corps
units in the world (since 1665).

| George Bush N2S-1 Stearman (N50061) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint only, for the payware Vertigo Studios Stearman Vol.1 set. This repaint depicts the restored Stearman N2S-1, N50061, owned/operated by Paul Ehlen and based at the Wings of the North Museum at Flying Cloud Airport, Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The aircraft, originally manufactured as U.S. Navy BuNo. 3347, is one of five Stearmans known to still exist that were flown by President George H. W. Bush as a cadet in the Navy. He flew this aircraft while training in the cold Minnesota winter at Wold-Chamberlain Airfield, Naval Air Station Minneapolis (modern-day KMSP), in January and early February 1943. The aircraft was sent to AirCorps Aviation for ground-up restoration in 2014, and emerged in 2015 as one of, if not the most period-authentic restored Stearmans to-date, restored to just as it was in 1943 (no electric starter (only hand-crank start) and no radios of any sort). The aircraft won "Best Stearman" at Oshkosh 2015.

Images related to this file:
File Description:
FSX Scenery - Monterey Regional Airport (IATA: MRY, ICAO: KMRY, FAA LID: MRY) is three miles (5 km) southeast of Monterey, in Monterey County, California, USA. It was created in 1936 and was known as the Monterey Peninsula Airport until the board of directors renamed it on September 14, 2011. The airport is owned by the several municipalities that make up the Monterey Peninsula Airport District. It is a public entity and its five-member board of directors is publicly elected. The airport has its origins with flights from the polo field of the Hotel Del Monte in 1910. In 1941, local communities formed the Monterey Peninsula Airport District and acquired land to build an airport. World War II intervened, and the U.S. Navy leased the land, opening Naval Auxiliary Air Station Monterey on May 23, 1943. The Navy remained at the airport until 1972. | "Oakland NAS" North American SNJ-5 (G-CHIA) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts the restored SNJ-5 BuNo. 85061, registered as G-CHIA, based at White Waltham airfield in the UK. This aircraft originally served in the US Navy from 1945 until 1954, at which time it was one of 12 SNJ's loaned to the then newly formed Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force. In 1977, the aircraft was returned to the US Navy and it was subsequently sold into the civilian market, becoming N9012Y in early 1979. By 1984 the aircraft was restored, painted in the markings of an early 1950's Oakland NAS based SNJ. After changing hands/locations a couple of times while still in the US, first to Corvallis, OR in 1997, and then later to Skagit Regional Airport north of Seattle in 2001, the aircraft was sold to the UK-based The Warplane Flying Co., first flying from Duxford, England in November 2012.
