Highly detailed terrain mesh of the Annapurna area, N28-30 E83-85. The files in this package are based on Shuttle Radar (SRTM) Version 2 data but with many of the void areas, especially the most significant sections, filled with elevation data generated from topographic maps by Jonathan de Ferranti. While Jonathan's work is unrelated to flight simulation he kindly gave me permission to compile his data for use in FS. The result is a wonderful improvement in detail and accuracy over any existing mesh file, freeware or commercial, based on SRTM or DTED data alone.
Due to the large area of the Himalayas I've compiled the source data as two separate series: the "Himalayan Peaks" series covers prominent mountains and ranges in higher detail and locally overrides any existing LOD9 terrain mesh. In addition, a LOD9 "base mesh" series covering the entire Himalayas will be available for those who do not yet have an add-on terrain mesh of these beautiful mountains.

These textures decipt C-FIQM (c/n 36088) originally delivered October 1945 as a C-54G to the USAAF.
She came 1956 into Canadian civil Register and served with several companies like Wheeler AL, Pelly Bay Co., Ken Borek etc. , was bought by Buffalo Airways in 1992 and is still in service.

Douglas A-4 Skyhawk Service Pack 1. This service pack fixes a host of little issues from my USN/USMC releases for the Nick Black A-4 model. Most of the corrections are updated models, but also there are some corrected paints and config files where appropriate. The fixes are listed in the documentation. As a bonus, I am including a new packaged rolled into this service pack, the A-4F/TA-4F of the Blue Angels demonstration team, so this is a must-have for anybody's retro AI world. Original model by Nick Black, re-build and paints by Michael Pearson, FDE by Michael MacIntyre.

Chance-Vought F-8 Crusader (Part 4). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this classic aircraft of modern military history.
This is an original 8-LOD model, with many animations and features thanks to a growing confidence in XML-coding and making FSDS work for me instead of the other way around.
Nicknamed "The Last Gunfighter", this aircraft was the last production aircraft for the US Navy and Marine Corps which used guns as primary armament, and was in service at the twilight of this age, as well as the dawn of the missile age. Like all combat-experience aircraft, it had a relatively short life during its operational use (only about twenty years or so as a fighter), but was used a little longer as a recce aircraft; and beyond that in export service to France and the Philippines. The Crusader was used extensively in combat operations in Vietnam, played a crucial role in the Cuban Missile Crisis, and gave the newer F-4 Phantoms a fair run for their money in terms of air combat capability during this time. It is interesting to note that the 'elderly' F-8 Crusader had a better kill overall ratio in air combat in Vietnam than its F-4 successor.
This is the fourth and final part of this model series, covering the export French F-8E(FN) and Philippine F-8P base models; with a total of 20 model options and 77 paints. Additionally, with this release I am including a universal PSD paint kit which will serve all variants. Base model and paint by Michael Pearson, flight dynamics by Michael McIntyre.

Douglas A-4 Skyhawk (Israeli Defense Force); for retro AI traffic. This package represents essentially a version-2 of the Skyhawk packages I started last year; with a lot of fixes to my original crude efforts to mod this wonderful Nick Black aircraft. This package contains six base models (A-4E/H/N & TA-4E/F/H) models; with eleven sub-variants of these versions; for a total of 60 loadout variations and 68 repaints representing IDF service from the late 60s to modern day. Combined with an all-new FDE set by the venerable Mike McIntyre, this should be a nice addition to anybody's retro and not-so-retro AI world. Original aircraft by Nick Black, modifications and repaints by Mike Pearson, dynamics by Mike McIntyre.

This package contains a "Performance Modification" for the Milviz F-4 Phantom. It's next to impossible to accurately replicate the "flying house" characteristics of the F-4 in FSX, so instead I decided to just make it "fun to fly"! I made some changes to the "aircraft.cfg" and the "f4e_11.air" files to add some aerodynamic stability along with increased aerobatic performance, and the result is a jet that's fun and easy to fly. You can still spin the jet, but you'll have to do it "on purpose" now. Max speed "Clean" at 40,000 feet is Mach 2.0, max sustained G is 7.5 @ 450kts "clean", 6.5g with a full A/A loadout, and around 5.0g with an A/G loadout.
PLUS as a BONUS, I included my modifications to the F-4's "Sound" files, located in the "Sound Modification" file folder. Using the "Audacity" app, I was able to MUTE the ANNOYING ADF Morse beep (Horray)! I also lowered the volume of the stall warning beep, the flaps motor, and the AB/Mil throttle "clicks"...they're still audible, just not as LOUD as they were before.

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23 Flogger (Part 4). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model and texture package for this classic (and still-serving) Russian multi-role fighter. The MiG-23, with just over 5,000 built, was Russia's first production of a true multi-role aircraft with a beyond-visual-range air superiority role as its primary function. The aircraft was arguably the direct counterpart of the F-4 Phantom, although it carried about half of the ordnance load. Nevertheless, in capable hands and late versions, the Flogger has been and is a very potent adversary; having served in multiple conflicts in Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. The MiG-23 entered service in 1970, was eventually operated by 43 countries, and is still in service in 14 of them. An original 8-LOD model brings this aircraft to the flightsim world. This package contains the MiG-23MLA, MiG-23MLD, and a what-if had the MiG-23-98 been put in serial production; with 20 models and 82 repaints.
