File Description:
Trek Airways Operated two Douglas DC-4 Skymasters and they were acquired from the American airline Northwest Orient in December 1957. The two DC-4's were unusual in that they were never military C-54's and had been manufactured as civil airliners after the end of World War Two. The aircraft began service in April 1958. The European routes were operated with night stops at Entebbe and Cairo. ZS-CIG was destroyed by fire after a belly landing near Assiout, Egypt, on September 9, 1960. There were no injuries to the passengers or crew. Textures only. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's Douglas DC-4 model, repainted by Dave McQueen (DC4_V30.ZIP). This repaint by Andre Reimers.

This project is based on David Maltby's panel. This update the first in the 50th Anniversary year of the VC10 (there are currently nine still flying) brings to fruition a number of extensive works in progress that have involved almost every gauge! The aircraft now has a fully integrated pressurisation and oxygen delivery system that conforms not only to the Flight Manual but also to ICAO regulations. Therefore cockpit mismanagement can potentially result in hypoxia! Besides this there are also a large number of new additions both in conformity with the Flight Manual and as extra visuals. It's now possible to "see" the Marshaller - There are new speed calls - and whilst you are preoccupied with your checklists the ground staff can be heard going about their business preparing for the flight as indicated also on the Ignition Panel. In 1962 these were replaced by a single Handley Page Hermes, which became the last still in airline service. In 1964 the Hermes was replaced by several ex-BOAC Argonauts, acquired from Flying Enterprise, the Royal Rhodesian Air Force and East African Airways. They were mainly used for charters around Europe, as well as special trooping flights for the Ministry of Defense to Gibraltar, Hanover and the Middle and Far East. Already in 1965, after the company had been renamed Transglobe Airways and Bristol Britannias has been purchased, the Argonauts were written from use and scrapped or used for fire drills. These are textures only; you will require Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Canadair Argonaut and North Star V3.0 (argo_v30x.zip). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

Douglas DC-4/C-54 Skymaster for AI Traffic. The C-54 is the military transport variant of the DC-4 airliner, and has enjoyed a 70+ year service span, with a few airframes still in service for cargo work or aerial firefighting. In conjunction with Jake Burrus, I present an 8-LOD AI traffic model to bring this iconic transport aircraft to the flightsim world. This package includes 8 models, 92 repaints, and a Photoshop paint kit. The paints in this package focus on the aircraft use from the 1970s to present day. Aircraft model and master textures by Jake Burrus and Michael Pearson, flight dynamics and repaints by Michael Pearson.
