Goose Bay Canadian Forces Base and US Air Base (CYYR), Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, 1955-62. Originally built to facilitate the transport of US aircraft to Europe during the Second World War, during the Cold War Goose Bay was a base of major importance. Like nearby Gander it was a vital refuelling point for transatlantic crossings, but also along with the recently released Ernest Harmon Air Base (CYJT) an important part of the defences against the threat of Soviet bombers carrying muclear weapons attacking the USA via the North Pole. F-89 Scorpions and then F-102 Delta Daggers were based there, and this download includes F-89s especially made for this scenery by David Wooster. Flight plans are provided for 1955, 1957, 1959 and 1962, doing much to recreate this significant Cold War base as it really was; many of the aircraft which passed through Goose at that time are provided for.
This file is an update to the scenery issued in October 2021, made necessary by the discovery of new information as a result of further historical research. There have also been changes to the ADE and traffic files intended to improve the performance of both, and to the navaids too. Instructions are included for those installing from scratch and those updating our previous version, and there have been improvements to the clarity of the instructions for the downloading and installation of the ai aircraft.
There will be no further updates.

Those are the textures of the predecesor of Aeromexico Connect airline called "Aerolitoral" with the Embraer ERJ-145, with the next registrations: HB-JAV, HB-JAX, XA-ALI, XA-BLI, XA-CLI, XA-DLI, XA-ELI, XA-FLI, XA-GLI, XA-HLI, XA-ILI (With Full White Colors Included), XA-JLI, XA-KLI, XA-LLI, XA-MLI (With Unititled Included), XA-NLI, XA-OLI, XA-PLI, XA-QLI, XA-RLI, XA-SLI, XA-TLI (With Unititled Included), XA-ULI, XA-VLI, XA-WLI, XA-XLI, XA-YLI, XA-ZLI.The airline was established in 1988 as Servicios Aéreos Litoral, to later become a subsidiary of Aeroméxico on December 1, 1990. It started with a fleet of 4 NAMC YS-11 aircraft in 1988 (XA-ROL, XA-ROV, XA-RPU, and XA-RRG) and was originally based in Veracruz.In November 2007, Aeroméxico announced that Aerolitoral was going to become Aeroméxico Connect once the Embraer EMB-190 arrived, and so it did. The airline changed its corporate name, image, and introduced a new philosophy of complementing Aeroméxico on some domestic and international flights, instead of only feeding the airline's hubs.The model is AI Malcontent (AIM) Embraer ERJ-145 Basepack. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A North American T-6 Texan/Harvard in the colors of North American T-6G F-BJBF, 1970. Originally built as 41-33931 (c/n 88-14948), it went to the RAF as EX959. It was used by the 20 Service Flying Training School in Rhodesia from January 1943 onwards. After the war, it was transported back to the UK, where it was sold to the Belgian Air Force, where it became H-9. It flew from Brustem until 1959. The Belgian Air Force then sold it to Air France, with 14 other Harvards, for use at its flight school in Pontoise Cormeilles en Vexin, west of Paris. It flew with Air France until 1965, when it was sold to Mr Urbain of Cannes, who flew it in bare metal with a checkered rudder until 1971. This is the paintscheme depicted here. It then went to the UK, becoming G-AZJD. It remained based at Biggin Hill until 1984, when it went back to France as F-AZDU, being bought by Guy Robert, a former Mirage pilot who recieved his training in the '50's on a Harvard in Marocco. In 2001 it was sold to John Colors SL in Barcelona, but it retained its French registration of F-AZDU. It is still airworthy, based at Sabadell in Spain. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

L-188A Electra c/n 1100 original 1959 delivered to American AL, 1977 converted to L-188AF freighter, after 14 different owners and leasers, she joined Atlantic Airlines in Great Britain in 1995 and went to Buffalo AW in Canada in 2013 as C-GXFC and still flies in this livery today.

Attention, the large cargo hatches cannot be opened on the Guzman model!
I recommend using Fraser McKay's excellent panel (FML188AP.zip available at Flightsim.com) including the config. and air. files supplied with this panel package. These provide exact aircraft's characteristics and enable certain systems to function correctly, which those provided with the original model may not.

L-188A Electra c/n 1094 original 1959 delivered to Western AL, 1968 converted to Combi L-188PF and to Intl. Jetair Canada as CF-IJY, then as N405GN from 1977 to 1979, flew for Great Northern in Alaska as part of the development of the North Slope oil fields.

Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-6B - repainted by Manfred Meyer. You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-6B CB-16 base pack with model (use the model without prop spinners!), sound and panel from the website calclassic.com. These textures decipt Mackey Internationals N37580 (c/n 45132), original delivered 1957 to United AL as "Mainliner Kansas City", she came 1973 to Mackey International Airlines as "City of Fort Lauderdale" and served at the extensive Mackey network, connecting Florida with the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos Islands and Haiti. Mackey Intl.was one of the last airlines in the lower 48 states to use the DC-6 in regular passenger service. This aircraft goes 1979 to F. A. Conner and 1989 to Aerosucre in Colombia were it crashed 1991.

Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-6 - repainted by Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-6 base pack with model, sound and panel from the website calclassic.com. These textures decipt N90705 (c/n 42858) of Mackey International Airlines. Mackey leased this old Bird in 1973 and bought it 1975 from F. B. Ayer & Associates. She was the 5th seires build DC-6 at all and originally delivered to American AL 1947 as "Flagship Arizona". Mackey Intl. was one of the last airlines in the lower 48 states to use the DC-6 in regular passenger service. This DC-6 flew for Mackey from Florida to numerous destinations in the Bahamas, Turks & Caicos Islands and Haiti until 1979. After then she was stored at Fort Lauderdale and later scrapped there.

File Description:
This is Ray Smith's FSX file. Ray has given me permission to modify his file for P3Dv4. Assigned parking as per their website with additional parking added. The new Concourse D now added, which includes gate allocations for the airlines that will move there from terminal 3. Terminal 3 is now used solely for UAE with concourse A used only for the UAE A380. All taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts including the new aprons G and S. Many of the Cargo operations have now moved to Al Maktoum (OMDW) airport so there is still plenty of parking for those that use cargo flight plans to Dubai to stop them parking at the terminals. Extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements added.
