| Union Island TVSU in the Grenadines |

File Description:
Union Island is in the southern tail of the chain of islands known as St Vincent and the Grenadines, between Canouan and Carriacou. Union is another small island, 3.5 miles long and at its widest 1.5 miles wide; the resident population is around 3,000, mostly in the two towns Clifton and Ashton.
The airport is at the eastern end of the island, and has been extended into the sea on landfill. The runway is now around 2,480 feet long, aligned 08 (and with the southeast trade winds it is unlikely that you will find yourself using 26) and with a displaced threshold of 530 feet due to the hill to the west. The terminal is adjacent to a rather small apron; there is parking on the grass north of the taxiway. There are connecting flights by SVG to Barbados and the other islands and these are reflected in the AI. The airport has no lighting, and flights are obliged to land and depart in daylight hours only, outside of which the airport is closed.

| Sioux Lookout CYXL in northwest Ontario Canada |

File Description:
Sioux Lookout is a small town of some 5,000 folks in northwest Ontario, towards the Manitoba border, and a regional centre for surrounding villages. The airfield is some two miles east of the town. It originally had two runways but the smaller was abandoned recently as part of a planned long term improvement of the field, leaving just 34/16 with its 5,300 feeet of asphalt. Both Wasaya and Bearskin fly to Sioux Lookout; on the field there are two maintenance companies, Eagle and Allen, and hangers for the Ministry of Health, Bearskin Airlines, Wasaya, and the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS). I think there is now another company too, but I have no information on them so I pretended this was two years ago. As well as the airfield scenery there is also a landclass file an "AFCAD" file for your AI aircraft. You should also download and install Northwest Ontario Airports by Eric O'Link, and preferably also have Ultimate Terrain; I have not tested this without UT and there is a small lake nearby.

The fifth of the coming P-166 aircraft series. I'm going to build the whole family of these graceful twins.
This file covers the whole production line of the P-166CL2!!! (Well, just 2...(-:)
The Piaggio P-166A is a light small twin. An Exotic two-engined prop that sold all over the world including America, UK, and Australia. he P-166CL2 was developed to take advantage of the cabin spaciousness of the P-166 series: a new landing gear that retracts under the fuselage into two small blisters lets expand the internal useful area more bakwards between the wings, as there is no central section. This lets the P-166CL2 accomodate 12 poassengers + pilot. The old gear bays at the side of te fuselage were replaced with two large windows that give a strange top-down view for the passenger. Tiptanks are optionally unattachable, as using them plus 12 passengers makes the plane go overweight. Means that the 12 passengers can only be transported on a considerabily short range. Only 2 P-166CL2s were built, due to the low-range caused by the small old-type tiptanks and the unstability of the new landing gear, that gave serious problems while taxiing. The P-166C is dated October '64, and converted to CL2 in 1972. The aircraft is still in production in a slightly modified turboprop version, the P-166D-P1. This model is 760 Kbs with c.a. 23000 polygons in c.a.170 assemblies. Features Clickable Dynamic VC with non-planar throttle quadrant. Detailed internals. Fully compatible with FS 2002 (pro edition)

This livery in the weathered version boasts fuselage weather effects created by Brian Thibodeaux, to whom I thank for giving a concession for using and elaborating his files onto the fuselage.

File Description:
FSX Pilotable Frigate HMCS Ville de Quebec. This addOn provides two versions of a Canadian Halifax-class frigate; one with a Sikorsky rescue helicopter and the 2nd with empty flight deck but the option to set manually a Sikorsky navy helicopter onto the flight deck.
The ships come with navigation bridge, sounds and special effects, like a simulated Harpoon-missile launch. Eleven cameras let you explore each ship. In the VC-mode(F9) you are sailing in formation behind the 2nd frigate. The AI-ship models with the textures are made by Jean-Pierre Fillion. Features for a pilotable version with panel, camera- effect- and VC-configuration by Erwin Welker.

I was flying around the FSX world looking for a real world sloping airstrip just begging to be modeled with a touchdown tire squealing, smoking rubber - that kind of hardened surface sloping runway after I finally figured out how to persuade the FSX SDK to compile one. The Airfield Candidate shall have high density LiDAR elevation and high resolution Orthoimagery data available for public download. I was flying a Beechcraft Baron 58 over Wanaque Reservoir in Northeast NJ of all places when I happened upon a photo scenery runway on a sloping hill top without the usual FSX flattened airport plateau effect and FSX textured runway. This AF2 file is based on the googlemaps image.
As I spent time on this "getting it right" a while back, I thought I may as well share it. Parking is provided for all aviation (both civil, military and ga). I recommend World of AI, and also Project AI (older) packages to get some of the local airlines active. There is also a Nepali army package on Avsim that I use to good effect, and for which I have provided parking spaces.
I have closed operations in the rwy 20 direction to prevent approaches through a mountain. Rwy 02 operations work much better, given the limitations that such a restrictive airfield presents to the FS9 AI "engine".
