Welcome to the latest version of the RPLL and Metro Manila scenery for FS9. This scenery is a a total rework of my previous scenery and contains a more accurate depiction of the entire metropolis. Over 4 years in the making and is the last upgrade for FS9.
This release coincides the first release sometime August of 2006. This scenery covers an area of around 1,400 sq. km. which includes major cities around Metro Manila: from Taytay in the east to Sangley in the west; from Alabang in the south to Novaliches/Caloocan-Bulacan boundaries in the north.
Sangley (RPLS) Airbase has also been redesigned (only the runway and taxiways). The entire Manila Bay coastline from Sangley to Novaliches has been recreated, adding fish-farms, correct coastal shape, breakwaters, reclaimed areas and marine ports. All major roads and river/water systems are also covered in this scenery.
The RPLL airport scenery contains 90 percent of the existing structures plus noticeable buildings around the vicinity including the new Newport City, Libingan ng mga Bayani, Fedex HQ and MIAA offices; and warehouse around rwys 06 and 24. 80 percent of the structures are individually textured. Also included in the package is Nestor d'Angelos Metro Manila buildings.

FS2004 Lockheed L-749A Constellation TWA 1958.
In June 1939 TWA (Transcontinental & Western Air) required a four-engined airliner capable of flying transcontinental US services non stop west to east or with one stop travelling in the opposite direction against the prevailing wind. The specification was drawn up by TWA's major shareholder Howard Hughes and TWA-director Jack Frye. The intial result was the L-49 Constellation, but before the first aircraft was built WWII broke out and the Connie was drafted by the militaries as C-69. After the war the C-69 was renamed L-049 Constellation and delivered to a.o. TWA (27). The L-649 and L-749 Constellations were the first true civil versions. TWA used 12 L-749's and 28 L-749A's from March 1948 till 1967. This particular L-749A, N6001C 'Star of New Jersey', flew with TWA from 24 March 1950 till September 1966. It was scrapped in 1968.
This repaint is a much improved version of the one issued in 2006. It has not been tested for the FSX version of Abacus' Constallation but probably will function there as well.
These are textures only. You will require Francisco Sánchez-Castañer's great payware Lockheed L-749 Constellation, which can be obtained from Abacus' Platinum Collection (see http://www.abacuspub.com/default.html). Repaint (based on Francisco Sánchez-Castañer's textures) by Maarten Brouwer.

(Update 2 - 3 January 2006) Not long ago I embarked on a project to streamline my flight simulator's AI setup. I knew I had too many aircraft texture sets that I was not using, too many unnecessary night texture files, installation of defunct airlines, and the like. So, I put together
a spreadsheet showing my AI system with all the airlines and additional pieces such as vehicles and ships. This has been a very large and time-consuming project as my AI system has more than 7,000 texture sets, more than 2,200 airline folders, and other assorted AI components. Inside you'll find an Excel spreadsheet with all my airlines (more than 2,200) listed, Birds, Blimp, Corporate Aircraft, Defunct Airlines, Douglas DC-3, Float Planes, Government Aircraft, Helicopters, Medical Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Personal Registration Aircraft, Ships, and Vehicles - all associated with the FS AI system. In addition, I've included the spreadsheet's source text files for those that do not have Microsoft Excel. NOTE: You can download an MS Excel spreadsheet viewer (freeware) from the Microsoft site. Because of copyright restrictions and the size of my AI system, I have not provided links to specific files. However, I think you'll find the data very useful. This version updates the post of 2006 with specifically modelled buildings for the east apron, plus a new AFCAD file. This is a stand-alone version and does not require you to have downloaded and installed the previous post. Carp airfield is fifteen miles west of Ottawa and two miles south of the town of Carp. There are two runways, 10/28 which is asphalt and almost 4,000 feet long and 100 feet wide, and 04/22 which is gravel and 2,000 feet long. The airfield has a fairly large polulation of general aviation residents and two years ago was expanding under new ownership, with a new terminal building and a large hangar opened and the "Touch'n Go" aviation warehouse that has opened more recently. The first version of Carp really included only the west apron, as that is where all (or almost all) the general aviation is located. I "represented" the east apron buildings without modelling any of them. This version corrects that, and the modeled east apron buildings are the HQ of Helicopter Transport Services Inc. and the adjacent Bell Helicopter service hangar, and the old First Air hangar and offices which are now under new ownership. The smaller hangars on the other side of the apron belong to chapter 245 of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

The Airbus A380 is a doubledecker, four-engined airliner manufactured by Airbus S.A.S. It first flew on April 27, 2005 from Toulouse, France. Commercial flights should begin in 2006 after 15 months of testing. During much of ist development, the aircraft was known as the Airbus A3XX. The A380 is now the largest passenger airliner, topping the Boeing 747, which was the largest for 35 years. However, the Antonov An-225 retains the record of being the world's largest commercial aircraft. The media has termed the A380 a "superjumbo", with some comparing it to Howard Hughes's Spruce Goose. The first A380 prototype was unveiled during a ceremony in Toulouse, France, on January 18, 2005. Its manufacturer's serial number is 001, and is registered as F-WWOW. The new Airbus will initially be sold in two versions: the A380-800, carrying 555 passengers in a three-class configuration or up to 800 passengers in a single-class economy configuration. Expected range for the -800 model is 8,000 nautical miles (14,800 km). The second model, the A380-800F dedicated freighter, will carry 150 tons of cargo 5,600 miles (10,400 km). Airbus made the cockpit layout, procedures and handling characteristics similar to those of other Airbus aircraft to reduce crew training costs. | North American P-51D Mustang "Hell-er Bust" |

File Description:
A repaint only for the payware Warbirdsim product 'Mustang Tales'. This repaint depicts the restored P-51D-20-NA 44-72438, "Hell-er Bust", registered N7551T. This specific aircraft is known to have been delivered to the 8th Air Force in England in late January 1945, however no available records indicate any combat time or what, if any, Fighter Group the aircraft was assigned. Following the end of WWII the aircraft served with the Swedish AF as Fv26131, and then with the Dominican AF as FAD 1920. After being imported back into the U.S. in the 1980's, the aircraft was purchased by Selby Burch and given a ground-up restoration. Finished in 118th TRS markings, the aircraft won the Grand Champion WWII Warbird award at Sun 'N Fun 1997. The aircraft was later purchased by Bob Jepson/Lady Alice Corporation and first repainted as 'Lady Alice' and then as 'Hell-er Bust'. In 2006 the aircraft was obtained by the Historic Aircraft Foundation and based at Paine Field, near Seattle, WA. Since 2009, the aircraft has been owned by Mark Peterson/Mustang High Flight LLC, based at Boise, Idaho, and remains finished as 'Hell-er Bust'. The markings depict an original wartime mount of Lt. Col. Edwin L. 'Ed' Heller, a P-51D-10-NA (44-14696) of the 486th FS, 352nd FG. This repaint features new bump maps, wheel well, gun bay, and cockpit textures.
