| Douglas C-47 (X-1) Dutch Air Force |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of X-1 of the Dutch Air Force. The Dutch Air Force received her first Dakota's in 1952, although they owned one in 1946, but that crashed near Katwijk the same year and was destroyed. That one carried the registration X-1, but that is not the subject of my paint... The Air Force later leased one C-47 from the KLM, gave it the military registration X-2, but it kept its civil registration, PH-TBV, on the tail. Later they leased a few more, and clearly they liked them, because they bought a few more in 1952. The first one was taken on charge in 1952 and was numbered X-1 as depicted in this repaint. The makers badge with its construction number was missing however, and nobody seems to know where this aircraft came from. The logbook mentions the aircraft was 'found'. There was a rumour that the aircraft had been used by refugees from the east and landed at Valkenburg airfield without registration. About a year later, in
the aircraft made an emergency landing near Valkenburg after taking off for a relief flight for the flooded areas in the south of the Netherlands on 6 februari 1953 and was written off.Repaint by Jan Kees Blom for Manfred Jahn's C-47 version 3.14, based on the paintkit by Gman5250.

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-15-RE 42-75845 B4-J "The Madam". It was the assigned aircraft of Lieutenant John H. Fetzer, from Shreveport Louisiana, of the 387th FS/ 365th FG during D-Day. He was flying as wingman of Capt. Arlo Henry on 6 June 1944, D-Day, when they spotted a number of Tiger tanks trying to hide in a castle. Capt Henry blew up the castle with his bombs, while Lt Fetzer attacked a Tiger with his 1000 lb bombs. His first bomb exploded harmlessly in a field, but his second "my contribution to D-Day" exploded right behind the Tiger, flipping it over 3 times. As for 42-75845, she proved to be a very strong lady. It began its career with the initial start of operations of the 365h FG, with Lt. Fetzer as its original pilot. He named the aircraft after his future wife, Helen. It flew its 200th mission in March 1945, and continued right to the end of the war, as the only remaining original Thunderbolt of the 365th. She was shot up several times, had wings and engines replaced and countless holes patched, but its crew chief, Joe DiMaio remarked that as long as 'the Madam' came back, he would keep her flying, and he did. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney.

| Continental Micronesia 1998 AI Package |
|
File Description:
Continental Mircronesia was Continental's Guam-based Pacific operation. In 1998, CMI had 3 747-200s and 16 727s (10 pax+ 6 flying DHL cargo), and was also using 4 Continental 757s to cover routes from GUM. The 747s mostly fly between NRT/GUM/HNL and spend their down time at the HNL maintenance base, but they also flew charters to OKJ and SDJ which are represented in these plans. The 727s fly all over the Pacific, serving most every large city in Japan as well as TPE, CNS, and the 7-stop GUM-HNL "milk run", flown twice weekly. The cargo plans for the 727s are representitive and also serve much the the Pacific reaching as far as Australia. I created arrival and departure banks most days so the planes often arrive back to GUM in the middle of the night around the same time. The "Micronesia" titles were removed from the last DC-10-30 in March 1998, after which time all DC-10s wore the standard Continental livery as did the 757-200s while using the CMI codes and callsigns. Currently, there is no Continental Micronesia DC-10 AI paint, but links to all relevant paints are included as well as Ranmori Scythe's FAIB 747-200 PW texture. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. File Description:
'Mid Western Victoria v2' is made to match ORBX Australia v2 scenery. Use 'Mid West Victoria update' for ORBX v1 or no ORBX. NOTE this is an UPDATE with Horsham replacing Hamilton in the instructions (it is Horsham in the actual scenery). There are 14 airports starting at Ararat and extending up to the Murray at Swan Hill. YARA Ararat YSWL Stawell YMBU Maryborough YSTA Saint Arnaud YDOD Donald YWYF Wycheproof YBIR Birchip YHPN Hopetoun YKER Kerang YSLK Sealake YSWH Swanhill YNHL Nhill YHSM Horsham YWKB Warracknabeal. A lot of airports but this is several hundred hours of effort over many months. ORBX has done these as they have done every airport included with FSX in Australia to a reasonable standard. If I had not already done them for ORBX V1 I would not have bothered. However these are better than ORBX because the surroundings have been modified to match real life. Towns have been added or shifted. Forests cut down or added. Race courses, sewage treatment ponds and other stuff added. Local obstacles (towers etc) added. There are 6 custom terminal buildings accurate to real life. Included is an AI traffic file that covers airports that dont already have AI. These files are for Flight Simulator X. Made using Airport Design Editor using some objects borrowed from Robert Budd's excellent Baccus Marsh and 'Static aircrafts' by Jean-Pierre Fillion. REQUIRED The scenery is designed to interface with ORBX FTX_AU V2 scenery for Australia (payware).

File Description:
This is the aircraft of the extinct mexican airline "Lineas Aereas Azteca", the Bombardier Learjet 31 with the registration: XA-OLE. LÃneas Aéreas Azteca was an airline based in Mexico City, Mexico. It operated domestic scheduled services and international services to the USA. Its main base was Mexico City International Airport, with a hub at General Abelardo L. RodrÃguez International Airport, Tijuana. The airline was established on 9 May 2000 and started operations on 1 June 2000, operating domestic services with Boeing 737 aircraft. It started up after TAESA closed down and some of the staff and assets were taken over. The airline's operations were suspended by the government in March 2007 due to safety problems, and in October 2007 the Mexican government permanently revoked its air operator's certificate because the company hadn't solved those problems. On 10 October 2007, the General Civil Aeronautics Directorship (DGAC) of Mexico's Communications and Transport Secretariat permanently revoked LÃneas Aéreas Azteca's air operator's certificate, because the airline did not have a sound financial statement after the previous suspension. The fleet consisted in 6 Boeing 737-300 (XA-AAU, XA-AAV, XA-CAS, XA-TWG, XA-UCL, XA-UCP), 3 Boeing 737-700 (XA-AEP, XA-AEQ, XA-TWF), and 1 Bombardier Learjet 31 (XA-OLE). | Martinair "Biafra" Douglas DC-6A |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description: On 13 December 1966 the Dutch charter company Martinair Holland (MAC), proud
owner of a fleet of four Douglas C-47, a Douglas C-54B, two Convair 640, and
four Douglas DC-7C aircraft, bought a Douglas DC-6A registered PH-MAM. The
DC-6A, which at one time belonged to KLM and could transport 11 tons payload or
97 passengers, was aquired in order to replace the smaller C-54B PH-MAE. It was
a very popular aircraft among crew and passengers alike. From the late October
1968 till the beginning of January 1970, PH-MAM flew on the Biafra airlift from
the island of Fernando Po to Uli airstrip to provide humanitarian aid, on behalf
of the Dutch Red Cross. Having returned from this mission, the aircraft was
overhauled and used by Martinair for one more year, before being sold to
Yugoslavia. The inspiration for this repaint was a coincidental meeting at
Schiphol I had many years ago with former Martinair Captain Dries van Ommen. He
was in command of PH-MAM during the Biafra airlift. We had a nice conversion,
accompanied by the impressive sight and sound of a DC-6 during take off. These
are textures only. You will need California Classic's FS2004/FSX Douglas DC-6B
CB-16 Base Pack, DC-6A CB-17 Base Pack and DC-6A CB-16 Base Pack (available at
http://www.calclassic.com/dc6b.htm). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer. For FS2004 and FSX.

| C-46 Curtiss Commando - With Buffalo Air type VC and Failure Model |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
FS2004 Curtiss C46 VC And Failure Model, v2. For the C46 Curtiss Commando aircraft by Libardo Guzman Garcia, Greg Pepper, and Tom Gibson (GAC46V2.ZIP). This is my Version 2 and it supersedes my previous uploads (c46bflvc.zip, c46bflfix.zip, c46bfl_up.zip). It adds a virtual cockpit similar to the Buffalo Airways C46 cockpit as well as pilot induced and random failures/damages through gauges originally developed by Charles Owens for the DC3C (most failures) and by Robert Graf (carburetor icing and oil consumption) for the DC-6. These gentlemen together with Gunter Tesons RealEngine_v14 have really made flying piston aircraft a lot more interesting. The frequency of random failures can be adjusted between "never" and "certain" but you always have to watch the engine limitations, carburetor icing, and oil consumption.
Further gauges by other authors are used or have been modified or have been developed by me. Version 2 increases the number of failures (engine, fire, leaks, systems, equipment, instruments), and introduces an improved upper overhead panel, an abbreviated interactive checklist on the panel, and reduced braking in rain, snow and freezing rain. Version 1 is not required for Version 2. See the C46BFL ReadMe V2.txt for further details and credits. Required files: ga_c46_v2.zip, RealEngine_v14.zip and also recommended: The Project Tupolev TU-154M aircraft for the fully functional KLN90B GPS (PT aircraft available at: http://files.protu-154.net/).
