This airport update is for Detroit Metro Wayne Intl airport with two optional files made only for FSX users, and made only for FSX users, not made or suitable for use in P3D: There is one version with the Crosswind runways activated where all 6 runways will be used for Takeoff/landing and one version as the default airport runway operation, taxiways and taxi signs updated to the latest charts, the Fedex ramp updated, assigned parking as per their website with extra parking, extra fuel trucks, support vehicle roads rebuilt and many other scenery improvements and objects added, airport views are from inside the control tower (when in tower view) please view the readme before installation.

File Description:
Boeing B314 Clipper v1.0 for X-Plane 6.4/6.51- Built for Pan American Airways to expand their Clipper fleet, they also saw service for the US Navy and BOAC. The "clipper" name was appropriate because the Sikorsky S42, the Martin M130 (also available for X-Plane on AVSIM) and the Boeing B314 opened up long distance air lanes in 1930's and 40's the same way that the clipper ships opened up sea trade in the late 1800's. The model flies very well and is as accurate as the limited plans available to me. Due to limitations in shaping airfoils the outside rudders are actually engine nacelles (jets with 5 lb of thrust) and the lower wing is also an engine nacelle. The rear section of the fuselage is actually a gas tank or float section used to get better detail in the fuselage. As all of my models the exterior paint and panel can use a lot of work. What you see here is approximately 6-8 hours of modelling/decorating? work plus 16-20 hours or more of test flights.

Welcome to GlassWing, the most detailed aircraft yet made for X-Plane. It represents a new generation of Xp planes: aircraft modeled mostly outside of PlaneMaker.
GlassWing is a four place, all metal sport biplane made for mountain flying. It offers superb climb rates, very short field capabilities and a high service ceiling. With its transparent skin, every major aircraft component is visible: spars, ribs, hinges and more. Right down to the spark plugs. It is a good visual tool for any flight school. It also shows the relationship between power and trim.
GlassWing can haul almost 700 pounds into remote regions, for scenic and challenging flights. With its 300 horsepower V8 engine, it climbs like a homesick angel and can turn on a dime. Comes with Greg Hofer's Garmin AVD 55 GPS plug in (PC only) for easy navigation. GlassWing is an excellent barnstormer, ribbon cutter, hangar and Tower buzzer.

| Alaskan Gold Mine Airstrips: Yankee Creek 2, Ganes Creek, & Ester Creek |

File Description:
3 very primative landing strips in Alaska that are all bumpy and/or on a slope. They're just west of McGrath in an area popular with gold hunters. Ganes Creek is surrounded by trees & a little on the short side but otherwise fairly easy. The Yankee Creek 2 strip is longer, but on a 6% slope with a camber at its upper end. Ester Creek is slightly steeper at 9% in gradient, but with a more open approach path. A set of Eddie Denney's mesh of Alaska is required because the airstrips are themselves part of the terrain: the scenery was designed using the FS2002 mesh but the FS2000 version should also work OK. Also requires Gerrish Gray's tree library (trees_v3.zip).

File Description:
This single-layer AFCAD file, named KMIABB.txt, is an FS2002 facility file for the Miami International Airport in Miami, Florida. It adds as many gates as possible to the airport. The gates are logically labeled, but may not reflect their real-world equivalent. My goal was to add 'life' to the airport, not recreate an exact replica of the real thing. All runways are available for FS2K2 to select the active. The file ID is KMIA and has the following gate distribution: Heavy-6, Medium-18, Small-55, Express-23, GA-12. I have included Lee Swordy's AF Installer along with this file. It automatically installs it into FS2002. To use the installer, simply click on the file KMIABB.txt and drag it onto the AF Installer icon.
