FS2004 Scenery Design – Airport Beacon Towers, a Rwy12 Object Placer Library

File Description:
For users of Rwy12 Object Placer only. The package allows the user to place 6 beacon towers of different sizes, with or without beacons and strobes, anywhere in FS2004. One tower was made in high-resolution and the others are low-polygon for friendly frame-rate, all very superior to the default FS airport beacon towers. The towers were originally uploaded in XML format (airport_beacon_towers.zip - 24th August 2005) and have been repacked as a Rwy12 object library by Rwy12 Team. By Newton Drumond and Fern Marques

CVN-65 off Puerto Rico

File Description:
An officially-sanctioned freeware demo of AlphaSim's USS Enterprise (CVN-65). It includes the full USS Enterprise Model, a full texture set for the ship, and one location near Puerto Rico with a "hard surface" to land on. The Full Release version available from AlphaSim has 10 locations worldwide, plus all carriers come with multiple "Deck Set-ups" including A-6, F-14, and S-3 "static" aircraft. The full package also includes AI flights and AFCADS using the three provided AI aircraft types.

Icarus Academy Cessna T-41D Mascalero Hellenic Air Force

File Description:
The T-41 is a single-engine, propeller aircraft of the Hellenic Air Force for the initial training of the new pilots. It has been in service for decades now and it is used at the initial stage training of young pilots. The first aircraft were built in the mid-60s in the United States and their continuous production to this day is a testimony to their reliability. Hellenic Air Force has 20 Mascalero. Mascalero had replaced the old T-6 Harvard/Texan in the late-60s.

FSX patch for Rio de Janeiro mesh

File Description:
FSX brings as default a very good mesh for Rio de Janeiro City, showing the Sugar Loaf very detailed, in LOD 10. However, that mesh cover a limited area and changes its resolution to LOD 6, yet in a mountainous region. The consequences are visibles cuts in the relief, mainly in Paralel S22* 30'. The solution we found was to compile the neighbours area at North, West and East, in LOD10 resolution changing to LOD 9, so to smooth the transition from those differents resolutions.

Westland Whirlwind XA870

File Description:
These are 2 repaints of the excellent Alphasim Sikorsky S-55 Whirlwind. Both repaints are of XA870. Firstly as it appeared while serving on board the Ice Patrol Ship HMS Protector, in 1955/6 and now, restored by the Yorkshire Helicopter Presevation Group and displayed at the South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum, Doncaster. The second repaint shows XA870 as it appeared at the end of its flying career in the late 1960's early 1970's. Purchase of the Alphasim Sikorsky S-55 is required.

Paintkit Aeronca for AI

File Description:
Paintkit Aeronca for AI This paintkit is for the recent 6 LOD Aeronca model that I uploaded here (4_ga_aeronca.zip). I now work with "The Gimp" instead of PaintShopPro (mainly because of the extra graphic file type requirements demanded by FSX) and the paintkit is multi-layered in XCF but also saved as a PSD file for Photoshop users. If you use PaintShopPro you can simply import the PSD file and then work with the layers. The kit also contains model files and a blank bmp texture.

OPRN Chaklala International Airport Islamabad Pakistan

File Description:
This is an FSX airport layout file (AFCAD) for the default OPRN Chaklala International Airport in Islamabad, Pakistan. Without this file, WoAI traffic does not show up correctly at OPRN. This file adds two parking spots on the civil apron (numbered 5 and 6) in addition to the existing parking spot 5. The civil apron is slightly enlarged to fit the default buildings. Military apron enlarged and new surface segments and parking facilities for cargo and combat aircraft added. Tested with World of AI only.
