Sukhoi Su-25 Frogfoot (Part 6). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this close air support aircraft. The Su-25, known as the Grach (Rook), was put into service in 1981, was designed as a comparable aircraft to the USAF A-10 Warthog, focused on battlefield close air support. Starting with Afghanistan, the Su-25 proved itself to be an extremely versatile and survivable aircraft, and has been in service ever since. Just over 1,000 were built in various models, and have been or are operated by thirty countries. An original 8-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This is part 6, combined with Parts 4 and 5, representing the Su-25 in all operational models (Su-25, Su-25M1, Su-25T, Su-25UB, Su-25UTG), in the past and current service of all export or Soviet successor states excluding the export users in part 1; with 34 models and 247 repaints. For those who only want one era or the other in their flightsim world, a detailed explanation of current or past users is in the documentation. Textures for Tom Gibson's Douglas DC-6 - repainted by Manfred Meyer.
You need to download and install the latest Douglas DC-6 base pack with model, sound and panel from the website calclassic.com.
These textures depict HC-ARK "El Pinguino" (c/n 42865) of Americana de Aviacion. This Ecuadorian Company leased and later bought this plane in 1968 and used it, among others, for flights to the Galapagos Islands.
This DC-6 was the 13. built and originally delivered 1947 to American Airlines as "Flagship Texas" renamed later "Flagship South Carolina". American AL sold her 1960 to Aerolineas Peruanas as OB-OAD-545. From 1964 onwards she was in the hands of some U.S.leasing companies and goes then to Americana of Ecuador. They used the plane until 1970 and then it was broken up at Quito after 1975.
The Lettering "DC-6 EQUIPADO CON RADAR" should be on the nose wheel doors, but unfortunately this is not possible at this FS model. So I put the text on the lower bow near the nose wheel bay.

Resized default cloud texture (cumulus01.bmp) for 3D clouds in FS2004.
Texture was resized from 512X512 to 64X64, cutting filesize from 1,33MB to 6KB.
This file is recommended for those who prefer speed (FPS) over visual detail.
IN THIS VERSION:
Removed Mip-maps to make the filesize much smaller (6kb).
Texture was modified to make clouds brighter/white instead of blueish-gray.
IMPORTANT: To avoid errors, turn the "Render to texture" box to ON in "Display Settings".
Smaller texture sizes improve framerate (FPS).
