This folder contains a repaint for the Carenado Milviz F-86, in the colors of the aircraft of the Minute Men, the Colorado Air National Guard demonstration team. The team existed unofficially from 1953 to 1956, flying Lockheed F-80Cs. Members of the Colorado Air National Guard's Minute Men put on aerial shows in their F-86s beginning in 1954, and from 1956 until 1959, they served as the National Guard Bureaus official aerial demonstration team representing all ANG units. The "Minute Men" performed in 47 U.S. states, as well as the territories of Hawaii and Alaska, Nicaragua, Panama, Guatamala City, Mexico City, and Kingston (Jamaica). In 1959 it was disbanded out of budgetary reasons. I have included four different aircraft in this folder that flew with the Minute Men, all F-86F-2 cannon armed aircraft that were used for gunval evaluations in Korea. The cannons were removed for the team. The included aircraft are #51-2826, #51-2867 (with a slightly different paintjob), #51-2868 and #51-2900. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Milviz.

| Douglas VC-118-DO 'The Independence' |

File Description:
This Douglas VC-118-DO was the personal aircraft of President Harry S. Truman. It was named 'The Independence' after President Truman's home town in Missouri. The aircraft was delivered on 1 July 1947 and served from 4 July 1947 on as a presidential aircraft till 1953 when Gen. Dwight Eisenhower became President of the USA. It seems that the rather special paint job was based on an idea by President Truman himself. 46-0505 served on as a general VIP transport till 1966 when it was donated to the Smithonian Institute for preservation. It is on loan to the Air Force Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.'The Independence' could accommodate for 24 day or 12 sleeper passengers (in the main cabin). It had a luxurious State Room aft of the passenger door. Usually there was a crew of eight. It is featured here in its original tan, blue and metal livery. You will require Jens B. Kristensen's great FS2004 Douglas DC-6 (early version) (dc6_v20.zip). Original textures by Jens B. Kristensen. Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

Douglas C47-B-DK c/n 33257. Purchased from Hunting Aviation in 1953 where it was registered as G-ANAS. Transfered to Wenela Rhodesia as VP-YSM then A2-ZEM. Sold to African Air carriers as ZS-KIV. It is probably the only DC-3 in the world to have suffered the most accidents and be rebuilt, it had survived no less than three landing accidents, one collision with a tree and two serious fires. One of the fires virtually destroyed the whole cockpit! The cockpit section from the original ZS-DCA, which had been abandoned at Lourenco Marques (Maputo) in 1975, was stitched on to this aircraft after one accident in the early 1990's. It finally crashed on landing in 2005 in the DRC at Kilembwe and remains there, untouched, as it is now trapped in a mine field. It was on a routine flight for Wimbidira Airways and was registered as 9Q-CWI. Prior installation of Manfred Jahn's outstanding FS2004 Douglas C-47 Base Pack (c-47_basepack_fs9.zip) is required. Repaint by Andre Reimers.

| USAF/MATS Convair CV-240 VBF |

File Description:
FS2004 USAF/MATS Convair CV-240 VBF in colors of 1952. The Convair with cn 264 was one of a bunch of T-29B-CO (CV-240-27) delivered to the U.S. Air Force September 16, 1952 and on July 15, 1953 assigned to the 1299 Transport Squadron of Military Air Transport Service (MATS). She was equipped with standard high density seating for staff transport and painted in the typically MATS livery of the early fifties. On July 13, 1956 she was converted to VC-131A standard and fitted with the weather mapping radar used extensively on the model CV-440 and on many CV-340 models. The last operator of this Convair was the 86th Tactical Fighter Wing based at Stuttgart (Germany). She came to AMARC on May 06, 1975 and was sold off for scrap on November 23, 1994. North American F-100 Super Sabre (Part 1). This aircraft, also known as the Hun, was the first of a long success of Century Series fighter aircraft during the 1950s and 1960s. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this cold warrior of military jet history, utilizing original source material from Jake Burrus. Going into production in 1953, 2,294 aircraft served thirty-five years in the USAF and the air forces of France, Turkey, Denmark, and Taiwan. The F-100 was originally designed as a daytime air superiority fighter (with all-cannon armament); but evolved into a capable light attack aircraft which served extensively in Vietnam.
An original 8-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This Part 1 package represents the F-100A and C in the service of the USAF; with a total of 16 models and 66 repaints. Original aircraft model by Jake Burrus and Michael Pearson, textures by Michael Pearson, flight dynamics by Michael MacIntyre. Please read included documentation.

File Description:
This is a repaint of one of the 2 aircraft used in the film "The High and The Mighty" (John Wayne and Robert Stack - 1954). This aircraft actually flew in this paint around Los Angeles and the bay area of southern California in November of 1953 for in-flight footage, so it's entirely fictional...but the airline was.
The original repaint was by Dave McQueen for Jens B. Kristensen's DC-4/C-54 version 2.0. I have updated it to make it compatable with the Jens' new version 2.1 (DC4_v21.zip) to use the DC-4-1009 airfile. Load your plane with 3050 gallons of fuel and balance out passengers and cargo to total 73,000 lbs. and you can duplicate flight #420 in the film! If you wish to shut down engine #1 and dump 200 gallons of fuel from the left wing and see if you can still get to San Fransico from Honolulu, that's up to you..but it is a challenge. File Description:
This is the update of my previous FSX AFCAD for the default airport KHSV (Huntsville-Intl-Jones-Airport) located at Huntsville, Alabama. The AFCAD was modified using ADE v1.37 and includes changes per FAA charts, and as seen from above using Google Earth. The original control tower has been removed, a helipad with night lights and some static aircraft have been added in its place. The real airport does not have a helipad. Also I added a Fire Station and roadways like the real airport. Additional information is included in the AFCAD readme!.txt zip file. This AFCAD has not been tested in Flight Simulator 2004 and you do not need my previous KHSV files for this AFCAD update to work.
