File Description:
Textures only for Mike Stone's Grumman G-21 Goose, available on this server. This improved version has softer color demarkation lines. This JRF-1 was assigned to Marine Air Wing Two. It wears an experimental green camouflage applied to a handful of aircraft in for a brief period late 1941. This is an authentic livery, but I can't vouch for the accuracy of the exact shade of green. I believe it's pretty close.

Two former OZx Airports. YCDU Ceduna Airport, Ceduna South Australia, a fishing port located on the west coast of Eyre Peninsula. This small regional airport see's daily services to/from Adelaide with Regional Express and their fleet of s340. YJAC Jacinth Ambrosia Airport, South Australia, serves the The Jacinth-Ambrosia Mine. The primary output of the mine is zircon, used in making ceramics. Around 70 workers operate on a Fly-in fly-out basis with PEL-AIR a subsidiary of Regional Express operating to/from Adelaide via Ceduna 3 times a week using their s340.

File Description:
Whaletown is a float base serving a village on Cortes Island, another one of the many islands squeezed between Vancouver Island and the mainland at this northern end. At this island passengers are delivered by amphibious Grumman Goose from Port Hardy, the main airport of the northern half of Vancouver Island with daily scheduled flights onward to and from Vancouver International. The AI was included with the post of Port Hardy. Regretably, the amphibious Goose behaves as if it is on land and moves on the water with it's wheels extended; there is no way around this. This scenery is a modification of a post made some years ago that did not support AI. In my FS9, close to Whaletown, there was an FS9 or Ultimate Terrain fault consisting of a long straight beach sticking out into the sea for a few thousand feet. This scenery now deletes that.

37+38 of JG73 as it looked in or around 1996, on TDY to Goose Bay, Canada.

File Description:
Painted for the 60th anniversary of the first flight across the atlantic, this stunningly-painted aircraft flew to the International Air Tatto at Greenham Common from Goose Bay in Canada. The RAF found a crew, by the names of Alcock & Browne (the original crew were Alcock & Brown - no e) to fly the trip. You will need nmai_f-4m_raf_traffic.zip from avsim.com to use these textures. Goose Bay Canadian Forces Base and US Air Base (CYYR), Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, 1955-62. Originally built to facilitate the transport of US aircraft to Europe during the Second World War, during the Cold War Goose Bay was a base of major importance. Like nearby Gander it was a vital refuelling point for transatlantic crossings, but also along with the recently released Ernest Harmon Air Base (CYJT) an important part of the defences against the threat of Soviet bombers carrying muclear weapons attacking the USA via the North Pole. F-89 Scorpions and then F-102 Delta Daggers were based there, and this download includes F-89s especially made for this scenery by David Wooster. Flight plans are provided for 1955, 1957, 1959 and 1962, doing much to recreate this significant Cold War base as it really was; many of the aircraft which passed through Goose at that time are provided for.
This file is an update to the scenery issued in October 2021, made necessary by the discovery of new information as a result of further historical research. There have also been changes to the ADE and traffic files intended to improve the performance of both, and to the navaids too. Instructions are included for those installing from scratch and those updating our previous version, and there have been improvements to the clarity of the instructions for the downloading and installation of the ai aircraft.
There will be no further updates.
