File Description:
Scenery consist of Updated Terrain Vector data concerning Coastlines, rivers, dams, lakes, streams, roads, traffic, railroads, power lines and extrusion bridges for Southern African countries South of the Equator. A lot of work was done from the East Coast at Dar Es Salaam, west towards the Great Lakes in the Rift Valley like Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika, Lake Rukwa, etc. as were the areas across the Luangwa Valley and as far down as Lusaka and the Kafue swamps. With this scenery it is important to install the previous release of "fsxWorx01" and updates 1 to 7 before this file.

File Description:
Anahim Lake is around 55 miles east of Bella Coola by air, and clear of the deep and rugged valley that connects the two with a road that is over 75 miles long. The two are also linked by a daily Pacific Coastal flight. A further 150 miles east is Williams Lake (200 miles by road). The town of Anahim Lake is small, but renowned for numerous surrounding fishing lodges on the lakes and the enjoyment of "nature" in what is known as the Chilcotin Wilderness. The Anahim Lake airport is an odd one. It appears to have fallen into disuse over a period of years, but is now in the process of being upgraded, with some new hangars (though oddly situated, and with only dirt track taxiway access) and a recently completed terminal building. There is also a plan to upgrade the runway (lights etc, there are currently no runway or taxiway lights) and in general to greatly improve the facilities on offer. The only current airline to fly there is Pacific Coastal. The runway is just under 4,000 feet of asphalt aligned 13-31 and 75 feet wide. There used to be another runway which is still visible but is now unusable, gravel that has not been maintained for several years. The notes for Anahim Lake airfield in the Nav Canada manual warn of "Extensive float plane activity at Nimpo Lake to the south" and of "possible large animals within the airport perimeter". Nimpo Lake is less than 10 miles south of Anahim Lake, and is a centre for fishing lodges and other "nature" activities such as hiking and hunting etc. As a result there is considerable float plane activity on the lake as clients are flown in, or out, to other lakes that are nearby, or just on sightseeing jaunts. This one, CF05, is the second of a trio of Nimpo Lake float bases, the one that is close to the "official" CAF8. It is for Stewart's Lodge fishing centre and Tweedmuir Aviation, both of which are included in this posting. The AI Beavers that are based at the CF05 dock in the AI have a colour scheme that is close to that of Tweedmuir. The AI was included in the posting of CAF8, as were the AI Beavers.

Lake Central Airlines Nord 262 repaint, delivery paint scheme. The Nord 262 was used by Indianapolis based Lake Central from 1965 until the merger with Allegheny in 1968. Three different paint schemes were used in that brief period. This is the delivery paint scheme with the stripe on the tail. Requires the Nord model by Barney Bigard, et al, available here on Avsim.
