| Vietnam Airlines 1998 |
|
File Description:
Vietnam Airlines was the flagship carrier of Southeast Asia in 1998, offering the only longhaul flights in the Vietnam region. The 767-300 was the flagship at the time, serving some major Asian cities as well as Europe and Dubai. A320s did most of the intra-Asia flying while the ATR-72s and Fokker 70s stayed within the Vietnam\Cambodia area. The flightplans called for 1 extra 767 and Fokker 70, and 2 extra ATR-72s which I have segregated in case you wish to delete them. Michael Pearson has done all the paints. I have included a "version 2" or "v2" paint where he has been kind enough to give us 2+ variations for a livery. If you wish, just assign 1 texture to both to save space. I have included the filenames to all the paints in the "Read Me". Flightplans by Chasen Richardson as part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. Follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/flightsim98. | Pacific Airlines (Vietnam) 1998 AI Flightplans |
|
File Description:
Pacific Airlines started with humble beginnings, a few 737s flying around Vietnam. In 1998, during the Asian Economic Crisis, the airline was operating with MD-80s from Taiwanese LCC U-Land Airlines, with a single aircraft wearing "Pacific Airlines" titles while the the rest of the flights were covered with planes in the standard U-Land livery. This is represented in these plans. Despite the humble beginnings, this airline went on to become Jetstar Pacific. Planes were swapped between Pacific Airlines and U-Land Airlines, so you will need both liveries for these plans. Please make a second aircraft.cfg entry for your U-Land MD-80 to make sure the aircraft used in these plans have the right callsign and parking codes. Links to textures here in the library are included. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson as part of the 1998 Flight Simulator Project. Follow us on Facebook at facebook.com/flightsim98. | Royal Air Cambodge 1998 AI Flightplans |
|
File Description:
Royal Air Cambodge was about halfway through it's life in 1998, having started in 1994 and closed in 2001. The airline was flying a pair of 737-400s to several of the major Asian port cities within 2-3 hours flying time, while the 3 ATR-72s did domestic flying and served the nearby Asian nations. Though I can not find record of more than 3 ATRs, but the flight schedule calls for 5 aircraft. There are quite a few flights that were unable to be covered by the 3 ATRs, so I wonder if some were leased at the time, but I am unable to confirm this. The planes are segregated, but again they do represent a decent portion of the flights. Links to the OSP ATR-72 and FAIB 737-400 repaints are included. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. | Cyprus Airways 1998 AI Flightplans |
|
File Description:
Cyprus Airways had an impressive route network in 1998, however, the vast majority of destinations are served only 1-2x weekly. Still, even with a small fleet, you'll see Cyprus Airways all over Europe and the Middle East, and even in Syria at the time! The airline routed many flights through both PFO and LCA, so there are dozens of weekly flights on the short hop between the two airports. Cyprus Airways was also rather unique at the time by choosing to serve multiple airports in metropolitan areas. For example, in London, Cyprus served LGW, LHR, and STN. In Milan, Cyprus served both MXP and LIN. Cyprus Airways was only operating the A310-200 and A320-200 with no livery variations. Flightplans by Chasen Richardson. | Druk Air 1998 AI Flightplans |
|
File Description:
Druk Air was the only scheduled carrier in Bhutan in 1998, operating a pair of Bae-146s across the region. The carrier is well known for being based out of the infamous Paro airport, which requires a demanding approach across mountainous terrain. However, due to the equipment Druk Air had at the time, the airline routed most flights via DMK, and the aircraft spend as much time(or more) in Bangkok as they do home in Pero! File Description:
Air Mandalay was 4 years old in 1998, flying an all ATR-72 fleet around Myanmar and to Thailand. One extra ATR was required for these flightplans, and it is segregated in case you wish to exclude it. |
File Description:
Air Koryo's 3 IL-76's were operated as Air Koryo Cargo based in North Korea. Beijing gets at least 1 flight daily, sometimes 2, while there is a limited network of domestic flying and a few other international destinations that are sparsely served. | Bellview Airlines 1998 AI Package |
|
File Description:
Founded in 1989, Bellview was Nigeria's Lagos-based privately-owned carrier flying a pair of DC-9-32s and an A300B4-600R around West Africa but also onwards to Amsterdam and Mumbai. In addition to the scheduled flying, the A300 did public charters to LHR and GIG/GRU(rare treat for Brazil!) which have been included 1x weekly. The A300 keeps busy much of the time so it is actually not often sitting idle in Lagos, but it will spend most of Wednesday in London, Sunday evening/Monday morning in Mumbai, and a few hours in Amsterdam and Sao Paulo as well on Thursday. The airline went on until 2009 when it eventually went out of business. Repaints for the entire fleet included for the TFS A300B4-600R PW model and the AIG DC-9-30 model.
