Air Koryo's 3 IL-76's were operated as Air Koryo Cargo based in North Korea. Beijing gets at least 1 flight daily, sometimes 2, while there is a limited network of domestic flying and a few other international destinations that are sparsely served. Myanmar Airways International 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Myanmar Airways International was the international counterpart of Myanmar National Airlines, operating two 737-400s to major Asian cities, including Kai Tak twice weekly. Note that these plans use "ZPPX" instead of "ZPPP", as a different airport was in use for ZPPP at the time which will be included with basic scenery eventually when China is completed in the 1998 project. Minebea operated a long DC-10-30C in a pax/cargo config as a corporate shuttle operating between Singapore and Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Bangkok. Yangon Airways 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Yangon Airways flew a pair of ATRs in competition with Air Mandalay and Myanmar National Airways on domestic routes in Myanmar. I do not show Yangon operating more than 2 ATRs until 2003, but the plans call for 4, with many routes left out! This leads me to think that some other equipment might have filled in for some flights, or that the airline submitted the schedule but then reduced frequencies, but the extra planes are included and segregated. Note that the airline later changed it's IATA code, ICAO code, and callsign when Avianca became "HK", so use the ones above for the 90s. In 23 years, the aircraft has not had a livery change, the paints are on Avsim for both ATRs that operated at the time, though my plans only use one texture. Omni Air International OAI 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Omni Air International started flying in 1997 with a pair of DC-10-30s while a 3rd was added in late 1998. The airline was operationally based in MSP, with LAS as a "focus city" where Omni maintains a strong presence to this day. OAI did all sorts of flying, from tour group/holiday package flights to LAS and HNL, to military charters(which often used HNL/DFW/PSM/FRA), to large group charters such as for college sports teams. There were also many re-positioning flights to get the aircraft to/from the next/last charter. I used to see them frequently at SFO, and obviously MSP. These representative plans are based on a combination of photos, what I remember seeing myself at the time, and information from a friend who was an Omni flight attendant at the time as to specific routes and happenings at the company in the late 1990s. Aloha Air 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
By 1998, Aloha Air was down to operating 737-200s, having ditched the 737-300s and 737-400s that they flew earlier in the 1990s. The 737-200 would remain the mainstay of the inter-island fleet until the shutdown in 2007. Impressively, every one of the airlines' high frequency routes was daily. The arrival of the 737-700s and flying to the mainland USA would come a little later. The airline would eventually fail in 2008, after a hike in fuel prices and competition from Mesa Air Group's iflyGo! forced the airline into hardship. In it's history, Aloha opearted 63 different 737-200s. Some of them lived on as the company re-organized into the much smalled "Aloha Air Cargo" which is around today. Vietnam Airlines 1998

File Description:
Vietnam Airlines was the flagship carrier of Southeast Asia in 1998, offering the only longhaul flights in the Vietnam region. The 767-300 was the flagship at the time, serving some major Asian cities as well as Europe and Dubai. A320s did most of the intra-Asia flying while the ATR-72s and Fokker 70s stayed within the Vietnam\Cambodia area. The flightplans called for 1 extra 767 and Fokker 70, and 2 extra ATR-72s which I have segregated in case you wish to delete them. Michael Pearson has done all the paints. I have included a "version 2" or "v2" paint where he has been kind enough to give us 2+ variations for a livery. If you wish, just assign 1 texture to both to save space. Pacific Airlines (Vietnam) 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Pacific Airlines started with humble beginnings, a few 737s flying around Vietnam. In 1998, during the Asian Economic Crisis, the airline was operating with MD-80s from Taiwanese LCC U-Land Airlines, with a single aircraft wearing "Pacific Airlines" titles while the the rest of the flights were covered with planes in the standard U-Land livery. This is represented in these plans. Despite the humble beginnings, this airline went on to become Jetstar Pacific. Planes were swapped between Pacific Airlines and U-Land Airlines, so you will need both liveries for these plans. Please make a second aircraft.cfg entry for your U-Land MD-80 to make sure the aircraft used in these plans have the right callsign and parking codes. U-Land Airlines 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
U-Land was a short-lived Taiwanese MD-80 operator who had the designation of being the first Low-Cost-Carrier in Asia, while oddly enough being owned by Swiss interests. The airline operated a few domestic routes with high frequency in most cases but fell victim to the Asian Financial crisis of 1997 in addition to running into issues over flight safety and the airline was gone by the year 2000. Royal Air Cambodge 1998 AI Flightplans

File Description:
Royal Air Cambodge was about halfway through it's life in 1998, having started in 1994 and closed in 2001. The airline was flying a pair of 737-400s to several of the major Asian port cities within 2-3 hours flying time, while the 3 ATR-72s did domestic flying and served the nearby Asian nations. Though I can not find record of more than 3 ATRs, but the flight schedule calls for 5 aircraft. There are quite a few flights that were unable to be covered by the 3 ATRs, so I wonder if some were leased at the time, but I am unable to confirm this.
