Tips and Tricks - Part 13. This issue, the first of the Fall 2005 season, attempts to dispel the notion that you can become "bored" with FS2004. Numerous recommendations for new and different things to do and audition are included as well as the usual assortment of "How-To's", links to useful sites, and much, much more. A new feature is a "From the Mailbag" segment where we try to answer a question of general interest submitted by a reader. Updated indexes by John Burford in .xls (Excel) and .pdf formats for the entire series are included. There is also a group of BONUS files which I believe you will enjoy using. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Compiled in .doc and .pdf formats for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

Tips and Tricks - Part 12 - Mid-Summer 2005 edition. I had not planned on another issue until the Fall but there are just too many good things to share so here we are again. In this issue you will find several valuable "How-To's", links to a number of useful sites, and much, much more. Of special interest is a section dealing with the RWY12 Object Placer program. If you have bored kids or grandkids visiting during the summer, there is a recommendation they will enjoy too! To use this liveries you need the Addon Majestic Software Dash 8-Q400. This Package includes the wet-leased Brussels Airlines OE-LGC and the current version of the OE-LGC. Note, by the Brussels LGC was from mid 2012 till the end of the wet-leased contract the Brussels Logo on the right side smaller then on the left side, i decided to make the first version where both sides had the same size cos i don't like asymmetry. Made the VC Texture compatible with the Pro Edition. Have a Great Flight!

The Fokker S14 Mach-trainer was the first purpose designed and built, side by side seated, jet trainer. First Flight 19 May 1951. Only 20 were built and used by the Royal Netherlands Air Force from 1955 till 1967. This release offer you a complete AI package including the aircraft and some traffic and AFCAD files. Paint Schemes presented here are for all known schemes ever applied to the Fokker S-14 and include the RNLAF, Prototype and NLR liveries. Features animated landing gear, flight controls, lights, canopy and ground services. By David Wooster and Emile Lancee.

Middle East SRTM Mesh - Lebanon, Israel and most of Egypt LOD9 Terrain Mesh in 3 parts, created from SRTM 3arc sec spatial data - this is Part 2. Mesh covers area from N25 - N34 and E29 - E36. It gives You possibility to fly above continuous terrain of Lebanon, Israel and Egypt. Holes were cleared using SRTM/DTED0 merger by Martin Domig, MICRODEM and SRTMFill.

| RCYU Hualien Air Base and Jiashan Air Base, Taiwan |

File Description:
This is an improvement of the default RCYU Hualien Air Base in Eastern Taiwan. It is the home of the ROCAF 401st Tactical Composite Wing flying F-16A/B fighters. Satellite imagery available online were used to reposition taxiways, add and resize aprons, and add civilian gates and military aircraft parking. Prominent buildings were represented using stock library objects. Furthermore, features were added to represent the nearby Jiashan Air Base. Since Jiashan is a highly classified installation with no information such as tower frequency available in public, I have taken the liberty to configure it as Hualien's Runway 3L-21R. | CYBL (2011) Version 2 for FS9, FSX and Prepar3D |

File Description:
CYBL (2011) portrays the Campbell River (British Columbia, Canada) Airport and surrounding area, including the BC Forest Service tanker base, as it appeared in late 2011. (Campbell River, a small city mid-way up the eastern shore of Vancouver Island, is the "salmon capital" of North America and the gateway to Desolation Sound - summer cruising grounds for thousands of yachts from across the Pacific Northwest. Hence, CYBL is host to a lot of visiting GA.) This add-on includes a selection of Custom AI and static aircraft painted to represent aircraft based or often seen at CYBL. CYBL has recently completed a major runway extension and terminal upgrade - both of which are reflected in CYBL (2011). CYBL (2011) is compatible with BC Roads (FS9 only), ORBX FTX USA Canada Pacific Northwest and both FS9 and FSX versions of Ultimate Terrain.
Generally, this new version is visually identical to its predecessor - even though quite different internally. As well, to the extent possible, it is compatible with Prepar3Dv2. (v2.03 fixes a vehicle texture issue in 2.02)

File Description:
CYQQ (2010) portrays Canadian Forces Base Comox (Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada) (CYQQ), the Comox Valley Air Terminal and surrounding area. It is fully compatible with Ultimate Terrain Canada/Alaska for FS2004, Ultimate Terrain X - Canada for FSX and ORBX's FTX NA Blue. CYQQ (2010) includes over 100 "hand-crafted" buildings and other structures and 10 different vintage aircraft on static display, as well as aircraft and traffic files for a realistic AI scenario that causes a variety of military aircraft that come and go. (Use BC Regional AI - also available from this file library - for scheduled traffic.) Civilian AI is now routed so as not to transit military aprons.
Aside from the new approach lighting, generally, this new version is visually identical to its predecessor - even though quite different internally. As well, to the extent possible, it is compatible with Prepar3Dv2.
