Aklavik is a town of 650 or so inhabitants at N68 W135, which means 120 miles inside the Arctic Circle and on the West Channel of the Mackenzie River delta. It is 40 miles west of Inuvik and around 60 miles from where the Mackenzie meets the Beaufort Sea. There is only one airline serving the town on a regular basis and that is North Wright, which is headquartered in Norman Wells and also has a base in Inuvik. Aklavik village does not feature in FS9, so the first thing to do was to add it; not all the smaller streets are in place but it is the right shape and with around the right number of houses. The only building with (partly) correct textures is the school near the airfield. I couldn't begin to model 150+ houses, so think of it as a hand-made auto-generated village. I had to move the airfield over beside the river, so there is a DELETE file and a GRASS file, as well as an AFCAD for AI (the AI will follow later) and a scenery file.

File Description:
Fort Graham is what looks like a very small village on the eastern shore of Williston Lake in northern British Columbia, around 100 miles north of Mackenzie (a previous post). The lake, while not large by Canadian standards, is well over 100 miles long but squeezed in width to a maximum of 5 miles amid the surrounding Rockies. The airfield has a gravel runway of 5,000 feet aligned 13-31 and at 2,230 feet ASL. There is no lighting. The operator of the airfield (and presumably the "village" too) is Finlay River Outfitters, a company that is based in Mackenzie and "outfits" hunting trips in the local area. I have posted this as Fort Graham CBW3, but I suggest that you just add it to your previously created "BC airfields" and avoid the inevitable doubling up of common textures etc. Up to you. KCVG - Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International for FS2004 A Century of Flight (FS9).
This scenery updates KCVG to its 2006 configuration by adding the new runway 18R/36L (opened
in December 2005) and redesignates old 18R/36L to 18C/36C. The scenery also extends runway 09/27 to 12000' and adds numerous new taxiways, taxiway signage, lighting and navaids to the airport.

AI Helicopters for Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. This package is designed to compliment the exceptionaly fine enhancement of the airport (CYYF) by John Stinstrom. Featured are three repaints by John Burford of the Sikorsky S-76 AI Helicopter in Canadian Helicopter's colors. The AI Helicopter model by Chris "Elvis" Jones is not included but download details for it and other suggested enhancements are included in the documentation. The project uses the "invisible" airport and "forward departure" (no push-backs) techniques. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the very easy installation instructions. Compiled for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall. ---

File Description:
One Hundred Mile House is eight miles south of 108 Mile Airport in BC and this version HAS THE MISSING TEXTURES! It is also 75 miles northwest of Kamloops. The runway 08/26 is 1,900 feet long and asphalt (except in the winter, when it is described as "snow"; there is also a note about limited winter maintenance) and almost in the middle of town. The apron is at the eastern (town) end of the runway and on the south side of this there is a large pond which attracts ducks and other water birds. Try to avoid the geese, they can weigh 14lb and come through the prop AND the perspex and up close have dark brown eyes; I speak from an experience 50 feet above the Rockcliffe runway.

This Zip package contains two FS9 airports created using ADE9X. The two airports are Winter Haven's Gilbert and Tampa Executive. I used photo data from Google Maps to make the files. To install simply unzip the files into the FS9 Addon Scenery Scenery folder.
Here is a list of the scenery objects used in these files. If you don't have any of these on your system, they will not appear. They are all freeware and available at at AVSIM and Flightsim.com:
