Created using EZ-Scenery by Abacus. I could find only a few photos of Yellowknife, so there was a certain amount of guesswork involved in making this scenery. The general layout should be reasonably accurate and it's hopefully an improvement over the default scenery. The terminal and tower at the real Yellowknife are really cool. I'm sorry I couldn't do a better job at representing them. Also includes a file to add some additional GA traffic. Have fun flying in the beautiful Northwest Territories. This is the third in a series of airfields that follow in a southward direction that early access route to the Canadian northern shore, the Mackenzie River. Deline is south of Tuktuk, Inuvik, Fort McPherson, and Fort Good Hope, all already posted. Deline is at 704 feet asl and around 50 miles east of the the Mackenzie, where the Great Bear River flows out of the western end of Great Bear Lake on its way to the Mackenzie. This lake is huge. The town of Deline has a population of around 500, and the first trading post (of the North West Company) was established there as early as 1799. The Hudson Bay Company opened an outpost in 1825 to support the Franklin Arctic Exploration expedition, and it was then called Fort Franklin. The name was changed to Deline in 1993. The airport is just over a mile north of the town, and has almost 4,000 feet of gravel runway. There is no fuel available. The original airfield is still visible just to the north of the town, from before it was rebuilt on higher ground (better drainage) and away from the houses. AI will follow with later posts.

This version of Aklavik replaces the previous version so delete all previous installation elements. There is also for Inuvik replacement AI, additional texture, and replacement scenery bgl; this presumes you have already installed my revised post of Inuvik. There is also for Tuktoyuktak additional textures, and replacement scenery bgl's; this presumes you have already installed my 2012 post of Tuktoyakyuk.
Aklavik is a town of 650 or so inhabitants 120 miles inside the Arctic Circle and on the West Channel of the Mackenzie River delta. It is 40 miles west of Inuvik. There are two airlines serving the town on a regular basis and one is Aklak Air, operated by Kenn Borek. Aklavik village has not been changed since my previous post, but the airfield now has the correct terminal building.
The Inuvik replacement AI involves flights to Aklavik and Tuktoyaktuk and the texture and replacement bgl's are for gates that I forgot to include before.
The Tuktoyaktuk scenery now has a barge carrying the prefabricated new terminal for Grise Fiord, plus other items for the installation work. Northern terminals are prefabricated and delivered either complete or in flat-pack form to reduce construction time on site to a minimum. There is a note explaining why the terminal building is on a barge instead of being installed at its destination!

Aklavik is a town of 650 or so inhabitants at N68 W135, which means 120 miles inside the Arctic Circle and on the West Channel of the Mackenzie River delta. It is 40 miles west of Inuvik and around 60 miles from where the Mackenzie meets the Beaufort Sea. There is only one airline serving the town on a regular basis and that is North Wright, which is headquartered in Norman Wells and also has a base in Inuvik. Aklavik village does not feature in FS9, so the first thing to do was to add it; not all the smaller streets are in place but it is the right shape and with around the right number of houses. The only building with (partly) correct textures is the school near the airfield. I couldn't begin to model 150+ houses, so think of it as a hand-made auto-generated village. I had to move the airfield over beside the river, so there is a DELETE file and a GRASS file, as well as an AFCAD for AI (the AI will follow later) and a scenery file.

This is the first airport in this series, focusing on old airports in China that now only lives in memory. Nanjing Dajiaochang Airport (NKG/Z08T) was an airport that served Nanjing, the capital of East China's Jiangsu province. It is located 6.2 kilometres (3.9 mi) south of Xinjiekou, the center of Nanjing, and is surrounded on three sides by the Qinhuai River. Opened in 1934, it was an important Chinese airbase during WWII. Civil aviation moved to the new Lukou International Airport in 1997, and then the airforce moved out in 2015 when Dajiaochang finally closed.

File Description:
KEUG - Mahlon Sweet Field - Eugene, Oregon. Eugene, home of University of Oregon, is located at the South end of the Willamette Valley, at the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette rivers, about 60 miles (100 km) East of the Oregon Coast. The airport is the fifth largest airport in the Pacific Northwest, providing commercial air service to a six-county region in mid-Oregon. This package is a modest enhancement of KEUG based on the Afcad originally created by Reiley McKendrick. Included are minor corrections to his afcad, excludes which remove objects from the taxiway area leading to the NEW 34R/16L runway and numbered jetways at the main terminal. All required files and textures are included. This enhancement is designed to work with the default FS2004 scenery and is offered as a basis for further enhancement. Please unzip (using folders option) to a temporary folder and follow the simple installation instructions. Compiled for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

Wilgrove Airpark (8A6) is a small GA airport located just east of Charlotte, NC. It is often forgotten by pilots in Flightsimulator, yet it is a very busy place in the real-world, due to it's huge popularity with student and weekend GA pilots. There has never been a really good, accurate representation of this little gem created for the flightsim, so I decided to try my hand at it. This is my very first scenery project, and I hope you enjoy it. It was designed with ADE9X, and it requires RWY12 and EZ-Scenery objects extensively,(not included) so you will need to download these freeware scenery libraries prior to installation of this package for the Wilgrove Airpark scenery to display properly. - Glenn Mullis
