Nanjing Dajiaochang Z08T - Chinese Airports From Yesteryear No.1 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Built with ADE with satellite aligning. Reqiures EZ scenery library: https://www.flightsim.com/files/file/143843-fs2004-ez-scenery-librarys-exe/. This is the first airport in this series, focusing on old airports in China that now only lives in memory. Nanjing Dajiaochang Airport (NKG/Z08T) was an airport that served Nanjing, the capital of East China's Jiangsu province. It is located 6.2 kilometres (3.9 mi) south of Xinjiekou, the center of Nanjing, and is surrounded on three sides by the Qinhuai River. Opened in 1934, it was an important Chinese airbase during WWII. Civil aviation moved to the new Lukou International Airport in 1997, and then the airforce moved out in 2015 when Dajiaochang finally closed.

Spokane GEG / KGEG, Version 2.0 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Thank you for downloading my scenery. This is an update to the default Spokane Int'l airport. All default buildings have been removed and replaced. The terminals have been modeled according to sat photos and are close to photoreal. The included AFCAD has accurate parking and has the new parallel taxiways in place as well as all taxiway signs. This scenery was built using Abacus' EZ-Scenery program.

Update:
The Cargo ramp has been redesigned to be more accurate. Due to a lack of information, Version 1 did not have buildings or airlines accurately placed. With the arrival of detailed accounts from a user, John S. Morgan, parking positions and building placement have been corrected.

Cabo Rojo (MDCR), Dominican Republic Download

File Description:
This file is intended to COMPLETELY replace the older versions of scenery designed for Cabo Rojo (cabo_rojo.zip). This file, written in xml language and compiled using the new FS2004 SDK's should be compatible with all near-future versions of MSFS (or at least thats what they promise - LOL). Once installed, you will see Cabo Rojo Airport, along with its paved runway and all the airport buildings. In addition you will find a little "surprise experiment", located to the east of the airport, the Dominican R/C Airfield, a small radio-control aircraft facility. This "airport" will show up on your GPS, but is intended only for the RC AI Traffic files that are included in this download.

Ketchikan PAKT in southern Alaska plus float planes 5KE and the town Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is Ketchikan PAKT in southern Alaska, 45 miles north of the Canadian border and 220 miles south of Juneau. It is the closest major Alaskan airport to the lower 48 and most flights from or to Seattle pass through Ketchikan en route. The airport is on the southern side of the stretch of water known as The Narrows and the town is on the northern side, with ferries connecting the two. The town side was somewhat modified as part of one of the three Misty Fjords sceneries, so there were already some marinas and docked cruise liners etc before I started this. In addition, Ketchikan Airport had been partly made way back in 2006, and further modified in 2007; I say "partly" as there is in fact no way to accurately make PAKT within the limitations of FS9 as there is a 50 or 60 feet difference in elevation between runway and apron, and the taxiways are actually ramps up from the apron to the ends of the runway. This has a knock-on effect on the float plane and ferry docks on the water below the airport. I can see why the Misty Fjord sceneries avoided it. This scenery retains the original buildings from the Alan Wright scenery. It also includes the modification made by John Hinson, who created the second taxiway to the western end of the runway; FS9 had not included this as the original airport started operations with only one taxiway in place. There are new vehicles on the apron (fuel etc), new apron markings and some parking modifications to enable AI with Boing 737, DC6, Beechcraft 1900, and GA, plus runway and taxiway signage, windsocks, some car parking, freight items, etc. There is a road and covered bridges down to the docks and ferry, and the town side of the water has been modelled to include other float plane docks along with waterfront buildings, including the ship repair facility with it's dry dock (actually a floating dock that lifts ships out of the water) and the Alaskan Ferry Terminal wharf etc. The ferry forms a part of the AI, generously permitted by FSAddon and originally a part of the payware Tongass Fjords package, as are the AI aircraft also included here. There are new waterside buildings that stretch from the ship repair yard, past the shopping plaza and onward to the stationary cruise liners (that were part of the Tongass payware scenery) including float docks for the float plane companies that are based in Ketchikan, plus a new AI liner. The AI is a further adaptation of the already posted CF36 AI and PAKN AI, as listed in the AI folder. Due to the surrounding hills there may be some interference with AI float aircraft, depending on the wind direction, though I have watched succesful Beaver landings with the wind from the east. The combined AI for float planes creates a float plane take off or landing at, on average, 20 minute intervals; this is still well short of the actual busy summertime period.

Prudhoe Bay area on Alaska North Slope US Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The Prudhoe Bay area of the Alaska north slope is dominated by all the equipment and machinery that is necessary for the extraction of oil and its transfer by the pipeline that reaches south to Valdez. Prudhoe Bay airport is now closed, and its replacement just to the south is Deadhorse PASC, with numerous storage, maintenance, and accomodation areas immediately to the north of the apron, and others adjacent to the road between the two. The runway is just under 6,500 feet with approach lights at both ends and ILS on 04 (true heading of 75 degrees). This scenery reflects the overall situation in 2011 and oil production facilities and buildings are included here. The airport buildings and those close to the airport are replicas of the real life buildings; while as distance increases the accuracy fades somewhat there are everywhere replica trucks and cross country vehicles that are true to life. Deadhorse handles around 7,000 passengers per month as staff are rotated in and out on Alaska Air and ERA flights and by oil company private flights. There are also freight flights to complement the trucking effort up the Dalton Highway. The Alaska Airlines terminal building and ERA (the red buildings nearby) are at one end of the apron, while at the other end is a very large and new green terminal, storage, hangar building built by the airport authority. All of the airport components, runways, taxiways, and aprons, are built up on a gravel base to raise them above the surrounding terrain that floods with melting snow, freezes, or dries out, according to the seasons. There are other new airstrips included here that serve the oil industry. Around 33 miles to the east is Badami PABP airport servicing a subsiduary oil producing area, with 5,000 feet of gravel runway. Some 28 miles to the west of Deadhorse is Ugnu-Kuparuk UBW with just over 6,000 feet of gravel (gravel in 2011, it is now asphalted) servicing oil production by Conoco Phillips, which uses 737's to fly staff in and out. A further 32 miles west is Alpine AK15 with 5,400 feet of gravel and also served by the Conoco Phillips 737's. To the south of Alpine and connected by road is the village of Nuiqsut. To the north of Alpine and reachable only by air in the delta of the Sagavanirktok River is CD-3, an oil collection and pump station area with another gravel runway of 3,000 feet. Other airstrips that were prviously posted are now updated, Nuiqsut and Oliktok. I experimented, but decided against trying to reproduce the several hundred miles of pipelines. The are new AI aircraft, and there are notes regarding downloading. There is a new "cement" texture (not its name, but used as that by SBuilder) for the built up gravel bases. It is slightly darker than the original but not so much that any previous use will be spoilt. You may wish to download my "Alaska Frozen Rivers and Lakes" which freezes lakes and the northern sea and makes them landable on wheels.

CYCE - James T. Field Memorial at Centralia, Ontario, Canada V1 updated Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is an updated version of the original post, revising and adding to AI, parking, rear fences, paths from apron to hangar doors, etc. The Lockheed Constellation was downloaded from the web site California Classics, and with the knowledge and permission of Tom Gibson the modified plane is included here complete with its Air Alaska textures and a modified .cfg file so that it will imitate a lightly loaded plane and squeeze the landing run to suit the runway length of 10-28. The airfield is in southern Ontario, 55 miles west of Kitchener and 25 miles northwest of London, close to the shore of Lake Huron. The airfield is ex-military and was previously listed as Huron Airpark before being officially named the James T. Field Memorial; for me it will always be Huron Airpark. The field is owned by Goderich Aircraft Inc, a company that fits out aircraft with new interiors including instrumentation, seating, and paint schemes. Their main customers are business jet owners, which is why the AI here is oriented towards Lear etc. There are now two runways in use, the third being closed and marked as such (though still listed in the AI for you to select one to land on). The main runway is 10-28 and just over 5,000 feet. The second runway is 16-34 and 4,400 feet, with only identification numbers and centreline markings. There appear to be no apron lights, taxiway lights or runway signage currently installed. There is a small club hangar (and club room) adjacent to the main apron at the southern end, with GA parking, and there are two large hangars (one new) used by Goderich at the northern end. The remainder of the original large hangars are now in use as light industrial units unrelated to aviation, the most obvious of which is a garbage collection company with numerous parked garbage trucks. One of the hangars adjacent to the apron does incorporate what appears to be a new set of hangar doors (the red one) but it is unclear if this is actually in use for a plane. The control tower is no longer in use, and there is only limited snow clearance in the winter by Goderich; presumably they only clear it when they need to use it themselves.

Masbate Airport, Masbate, Philippines Download

File Description:
This is a totally new Masbate Scenery Addon for Flight Simulator 2004. This features Multi-Level of Detail (MLOD) which makes a scenery framerate-friendly. At a distance, the objects are on its LOW POLYGON STATE. And while you get closer and closer, the objects become more and more complex, making you landing sequence unaffected by heavy framerate hit due to the High number of Polygons of the Library Objects. In this scenery, you will see a total transformation from the default Masbate City area in FS2004 to a new realistic and alive Masbate City as seen in the included screenshots. Masbate Airport Scenery (RPVJ) features photorealistic textures. This includes the Main Terminal Building, the Rancho Cuervo Verde Hangar, the Masbate Airport cargo warehouse, the Administration Building, the Crash and Fire Rescue Station, and the Control Tower. This scenery has full night lighting textures and has night lighting beams that illuminate the ramp from the firestation building. Other library objects included are: Animated Baggage Carts, Airport and Ramp personnel, ferry boats, ships, yachts, sailboats, cargo vessels, lighthouse, jeeps, cows and horses. But these objects do not interfere with the framerate so much because this is defined in the MLOD feature. This scenery has not been tested with FS2002 but is more likely to work without problem in that version except that AFCAD for FS2002 should be separately designed. Currently, Asian Spirit serves this destination daily from Manila arriving at 7:15 a.m. and departing for Manila at 7:35 a.m.

Missing Texture AS 350 Blackcomb Download

File Description:
There have been some reports of FS9 messages popping up requesting the texture "AS 350 Blackcomb" to be added to the Homer texture folder, or to the Medicine Hat texture folder. This is probably to do with my transfer of all FS9 files from one laptop that had died to a new one. Presumably "all" wasn't quite what I achieved. This message seems to appear after installing Fort Nelson scenery, but that is probably just a coincidence and Fort Nelson probably has nothing to do with it. If you get the message put this folder in the texture folder of whichever scenery you are directed to. I stress that I mean "THE FOLDER" and not just the contents of the folder.
