Heathrow has been fine tuned and updated from the default version with the remodeling of Terminal 3, the A380-capable gates, and a more accurate T1, T2, and T4. You will also need to download and install Heathrow Building Works by Matthew Ministry (heathrow_building_works.zip).

Groton-New London Sub Base

File Description:
FS2004 Scenery - Naval Submarine Base New London Groton CT. On the east bank of the Thames River near Groton, CT, New London Naval Submarine Base was the birthplace of the submarine force. It was originally a Navy yard, converted to a submarine base in 1916, and greatly expanded in World War II. The advent of nuclear power required an improvement in training and support facilities. By 1959, New London had become the largest submarine base in the world with 8,210 active personnel. The base was recommended for closure by the DoD in the 2005 BRAC Recommendations. CYXU - London, Canada Update 1

File Description:
At London Ontario Airport, the aircraft sinking into the ground on the entire apron and on the taxi- and runways. Gates 7 and 8 are missing and the Papi4 at runway 27 is not entirely visible. This update fixes all these problems.

Thames Estuary Airport, London (concept)

File Description:
Thames estuary airport is a possible new feature to the compilation of UK airports. Using the concept images on the net, we have made the airport for FS9. Please note that this is a very large airport and may not be suitable for slower computers.

There have been plans since 1943 to build a new airport for London at various locations around the Thames Estuary. The proposal was revived in 2008 by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and has acquired the nickname "Boris Island".

London Long Range Radar Complex

File Description:
We have spent the day exploring the National Museaum of the USAF at Wright Patterson AFB [KFFO] in Ohio. We pulled some strings and the kind folks at Wright-Pat let us land and park our aircraft on the ramp. As we head back home to Columbus, Ohio we will be passing overhead the London LRR [QWO] which is some 25 nm east of KFFO. If you start from Rickenbacker Intl [KLCK] in Columbus the site will be 26 nm west of you as you climb out. A helipad and terminal VOR [108.00] are included in the scenery. Scenery sets are provided for the FSGenesis 38m terrain mesh, and the standard fs9 terrain mesh.

London Heathrow New ATC Tower

File Description:
The new ATC tower at Heathrow stands a full 87 meters as the most promonent sight on the airfield. Now you can add it to the default FS2004 scenery using this addon. Though the tower is not yet fully completed the addon here has been created using all available data as to dimensions, location, and physical appearance. Recommended for use with Pete Davies AFCAD file available here at the avsim file library as asix9_egll_2005.zip. This AFCAD file has the correct gate locations for the position of the tower. Enjoy!!!
