FS2004 photo scenery and AI package for Wake Island (PWAK) in the Pacific. Seemingly drifting in a strategic yet isolated position Wake Island-an atoll really-was one of the loneliest outposts of the United States. Originally a gas station for Pan Am's 'Clipper' flying boats, Wake was also a strategic air base during the Second World War. This continued with the Cold War as Wake became a centerpiece of the Pacific Radar Net against the Soviets.
With the thawing of Eastern Europe and the advent of more efficient jet aircraft Wake slowly drifted back to the quiet backwater it is again today, home to a handful of civilian caretakers and local wildlife. This scenery attempt to recapture Wake in the early 1980's when it still performed a semi-regular duty as gas station and pit stop. (This is a reload of the scenery due to the Hack attack - no changes to previous package)

| Ontario Small Fields in Canada: #04 Stoney Point (Le Cunff) CRML V1 |

File Description:
This is the fourth in a series of small airfields in southern Ontario, Canada. It is Stoney Point (Le Cunff) CRML, a field near a small town (Stoney Point) close to Lake St Clair. The airfield has a grass runway of 2,250 feet, aligned 18/36; with trees around the house gardens between road and runway the south threshold is displaced by 250 feet. The markers approximately show the touchdown point north of the runway end. Le Cunff is the family name of the owners, included to differentiate between this and another Stoney Point field, CRJ2. I found the default FS9 airfield at the correct elevation of 625 feet, but sitting on a plateau, despite my Genesis Mesh. This looked so unreal that I have revised this to an incorrect lower elevation of 580. So if you find the airfield sitting in a hole in your installation you now know the reason. | Southeast Farallon Islands Version 3 |

File Description:
Complete download: Surf height fix. Also new island texture map. These islands were mysteriously absent from the FS2004 default scenery, probably owing to their small size. When I went to look for them I found a small mountain of water instead of the islands. Most people don't seem to be aware of the Farallon Islands. Located off the coast of California, near San Francisco, they are home to thousands of birds, seals, and some of the largest Great White sharks known to man. All of this is within a very short distance of the city. Today, it is a wildlife refuge and is off limits to visitation by the general public. Those of you interested in more info might check out "The Devil's Teeth" by Susan Casey. This island is actually a scenery object. As such it doesn't have a landable surface. Future versions will have a helicopter pad, a lighthouse, and the 100 year old houses used by researchers.

I discovered, while testing another airfield near the Mackenzie River, that along the side of the Mackenzie adjacent to Tulita, and for a considerable distance, there was a cliff of water. I have no idea if my version of Ultimate Terrain has developed a fault or if this has been caused by the installation of a terrain mesh that now argues with UT for some unknown reason. Whatever, it was impossible to leave it as it was. I have included a screenshot of the cliff further upstream. To avoid the cliff of water I have flattened that area of the Mackenzie River and the adjacent river banks and both the town and the airfield to a height above sea level of 400 feet. This does not reflect the real life situation but is the lesser of two optical evils. I have included a screenshot of the flattened area. If you do not have a problem then you do not need this. If you too have a cliff of water then you might want to try this. It does not completely get rid of the problem, but it does get rid of it in the area visible when landing or taking off at Tulita.

| Kugaaruk CYBB and DEW Pelly Bay CWPB in Nunavut, Canada |

File Description:
Kugaaruk is on the coast of northern mainland Canada on the Boothia Peninsula, 60 miles into a deep north-south fjord-like inlet called Pelly Bay. The name was changed from Pelly Bay in 1999, and the population is around 800. Gjoa Haven is 150 miles to the west, and Hall Beach just over 200 miles to the east. Six miles south of the village, and connected by a gravel road, there is a NWS station and what remains of a DEW Auxiliary Site; the DEW site was closed in 1992, a year after the NWS station became operational. There is also a 3,350 feet long gravel runway beside Barrow Lake 2 miles east of the site, Pelly Bay CWPB. Kugaaruk airfield is adjacent to the village and the 5,000 feet of 100 feet wide gravel runway is aligned 049T/229T where T stands for "true" as opposed to magnetic. There are flights by First Air and Canadian North and the AI includes a daily flight of each from Yellowknife via Gjoa Haven (as per real life) plus a cargo visit by Buffalo. Although the runway is long enough to accomodate a 737 it is not licensed for regular scheduled jet flights; the reason for this is that the approach lighting is "inadequate". Included here is a new .bgl for Gjoa Haven which will remove the small hold short line from the gravel; my mistake.

Re-upload. Livingston MT is just a bit East of Bozeman and has interesting GPS and VOR approaches. Just a nice airport sort of in the middle of nowhere. Pretty scenery. Needs RWY12 libraries.
