Windows XP allows mutiple "boot" profiles in which you can disable hardware and peripheral devices that may not be needed while playing games such as FS2004. Nostromo N52 & Saitek X52 Profiles

File Description:
I have had the Nostromo N52 keypad and the Saitek X52 Flight Control System for many years and have tweaked their profiles endlessly in that time. I now have profiles I think cover all my needs - I hardly ever need to touch the keyboard: I even have 'special' options for Concorde Afterburners and Airbus 'gate' thrust controls programmed in. Having recently uploaded a set of 'Cold & Dark to Take-Off' visual start-up guides to AVSIM, I realise that a few of these assume (as they were all done for my own use, not for uploading) the use of the N52 and/or X52. So I thought I would upload the profiles, just in case anyone wanted to use them.

PMDG 747-400 PAX Tutorial Long Haul Flight

File Description:
This is a tutorial for the PMDG 747-400 PAX simulated aircraft. The flight covered is from Heathrow London, to Los Angeles International. The tutorial covers and explains all aspects of this flight from fuel preparation, flight plan preparation, to pre-flight checks and setup, flying, cruising, descending, holding, approach, landing and shutting down. Those aspects that are not covered in detail but are relevant to a long haul flight of this kind are mentioned and also explained. I have tried to be as comprehensive with my illustration and descriptions as possible, this is more of a walkthrough than a switch pressing instruction manual, as a result a great deal of explaination is included. The tutorial is 211 pages, with many colour images, so please be aware of this if you decide to print.

Terminal Procedures Compilation

File Description:
FSNavigator stopped providing terminal procedure updates (SID/STARS) over 18 months ago. This has left a huge void for many simmers who may have struggled to create realistic flight plans with relatively accurate procedure files. An effort has been made by Toni Paulsen and others to update these terminal procedures. My release is a stress-free release. This means you just extract, overwrite, and go fly! Includes all previous updates from FSNavigator official before it went offline. Updated SID/STARS for most major airports of France, Spain, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia, and Germany. Most SID/STARS for the above countries are current to within the last 6 months. I will be updating major US airports soon.
