Digital Heading Gauge

File Description:
Digital heading window for any aircraft. The digital heading window opens in the middle of the cockpit screen but can be resized and dragged to any suitable panel location. Handy in complex cockpits for a quick heading reference, or in older aircraft cockpits with only conventional compasses available.

HSI window

File Description:
Installation of resizable default HSI gauge to any panel. There were many occasions when I needed a functional HSI in the newly downloaded aircraft cockpit. Also sometimes to replace the one I did not like, or to add one to the existing gauges in the panel. Some cockpits were missing HSI and I have replaced some unessential existing gauge with HSI or added it to any available panel space. IMPORTANT! I respect all the panel designers and realize that HSIs in some cockpits are missing for a good reason since actual aircraft just did not have them. Therefore, if you choose to install any of these HSIs, it is just a convenience to suit your flying experience. All the HSI are FS2004 default gauges therefore there is no need for other gauges install. The exception is the button for making the HSI visible, which I have designed. There is no need to install this button though, since the HSI can be simply added through the menu Views/Instrument panel drop-down.

Reduced Braking Effectiveness in Rain and Snow

File Description:
If you want more realism and are tired of having the same braking effectiveness in rain and snow as on a dry runway then this is for you. There are two gauges, "BrakingAction" and "BrakingAction_AntiSkid".
Use the gauge "BrakingAction" for aircraft which do not have an AntiSkid system; do not use it on aircraft with antiskid (e.g. airliners) - for those use "BrakingAction_AntiSkid".
The gauges will reduce braking effectiveness during rain, snow, and freezing rain. In addition, the "BrakingAction" gauge simulates blocked wheels if you stay on the brake for too long; blocked wheels will further reduce the braking effectiveness; in addition, blocked wheels will put wear on the tires on dry and rainy runways; this may lead to a blown tire.

NOTE: The gauges are made for users who either use the keyboard or an assigned button (or two for differential brakes) on the joystick for braking. The gauges will most likely not work with devices that allow a progressive braking input, i.e. that allow you to apply brake pressure anywhere between 0 and 100% (I guess there are rudder pedals that allow you to do that).

Shoran Gauge

File Description: A SHORAN gauge for the panels of the B-45 Tornado, late WW2 B-17s and B-24s, Korean War B-29s and possibly other early Cold War American bombers. It was made in and for FS9 but should work in any sim that handles XML gauges, or can be placed on a 2D panel in any sim. It doesn't actually work, since there are no SHORAN transmitting stations in FS9, but it can add a bit of authenticity to the panels of appropriate planes. The the instrument face is modeled on a photo of one in a Korean War B-29.

Fuel Quantity Gauges All Aircraft

File Description:
Installation of any fuel gauge or set of fuel gauges either straight into the aircraft panel, or as a resizable and movable pop-up window (group of 2,3,4,5,6,7 or 8 fuel gauges are grouped in the pop-up options see the pictures in download). The fuel quantity pop-up window can be opened by installing a button in the panel. The gauges correspond with the aircraft.cfg [fuel] section tank designations. To accommodate different tank quantities the gauges are showing the tank loads in percentages, or "Empty, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 and Full".

Airline Hud 2022

File Description: This is a HUD designed specifically for Air Line operations. Hours of work have been dedicated to this project. FS9 has always lacked a HUD suitable for airliners. Well now its here. Not only does this HUD display accurate symbology, it also warns both visually & audibly of detected icing conditions. Happy New Year and I hope our FS9'ers enjoy.

Install of Aircraft Info Window

File Description:
Aircraft information display in 2D panel, primarily for communication with ATC. The small window containing the airline, aircraft registration and flight ID can be opened by the small ATC button in any 2D panel. The window can then be resized and moved to any free panel space. Many actual cockpits have the aircraft registration on a small tag in view of the tech crew (In FS, this info is typed in aircraft.cfg behind 'atc_id=' (example N557UA). The flight number is typed in aircraft.cfg behind 'atc_flight_number='(example 376). The operating airline is typed in aircraft.cfg behind 'atc_airline='(example United). By installing this gauge, all this info is compiled in a small window and is readily viewed by FS pilot.

GPWS V3.3

File Description:
This freeware GroundProximityWarningSystem gauge for FS2004 can be added to any aircraft that has retractable gear and flaps, and offers the following features: - Clickable switch, with Test/Inhibit function and warning light. - 8 different warning modes, with all the usual aural warnings, like "Pullup", "Sinkrate", "TerrainTerrain", "Windshear" and normal Altitude callouts. - Fully customiseable per aircraft type, by just editing the gauge parameters with Notepad. NEW in V3.3: new sound enable/disable handling, configurable sound volumes, a new MasterWarningLight gauge (that enables you using the GPWS with only a small gauge on the main panel window), and more. XML Sound Gauge - v3.7

File Description:
This represents what should be the last version of dsd_xml_sound for FS9. It includes dynamic volume control and will follow FS's own sound status. It should work in FSX, although some features which FSX does not support will be absent. Please note that this gauge presumes a fair degree of XML programming knowlege. It is not for beginners.
