Flying Tiger Line - Flight #152 - Los Angeles to New York, May 1955

File Description:
Three separate IFR flight-plans covering the scheduled Flying Tiger Lines service #152 from Los Angeles to New York as at 1st. May 1955. The aircraft used on "Daybreaker" Flight #152 was the Douglas DC-6A. This particular flight commences in Los Angeles at 23:00 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), arrives in Chicago at 07:15 Central Daylight Time (CDT) the next morning, departs Chicago at 08:30 CDT, arrives in Detroit (Willow Run) at 09:45 Eastern Standard Time (EST), departs Detroit at 11:00 EST and finally arrives in New York (Newark) at 14:10 EDT. Talk about a confusion of timezones! To make the most from this package you should download and install the CalClassic DC-6B model and also the Flying Tiger Lines livery created by Wayne Tudor. The latter is available from www.avsim.com and is file ftl_dc6a.zip. The aircraft itself is available from www.calclassic.com/dc6b.htm. Note that it must be a small-spinner model, not the aircraft with the larger streamlined spinners.

FSPilot Tour of Army Air Corps Bases

File Description:
This flightplan requires the freeware Autopilot/EFIS/Flight Planner software, FSPilot, available here at Avsim (fspilot_142.zip). Flight plan takes in the Army Air Corps bases of Middle Wallop, Netheravon and Upavon as well as the GA airfields at Thruxton and Old Sarum. Designed with Gary Summons' UK 2000 scenery in mind, it works with default scenery but most of the bases are runways only.

Around the World by light aircraft - The flight of HG Schmid and HB-YCT, March 2000

File Description:
On a cold March 2nd, 2000, professional commercial pilot H.G. Schmid took off from Zurich at 11:00 AM local time and so began the first stage of his first of two consecutive circumnavigations of the globe by a light aircraft. This flight was eastwards and on his return to Zurich at the end of the month, Georg took off on the westward circumnavigation. The aircraft used on these adventures was the Rutan-designed "Long-EZ", a variation of the "Vari-EZ". Each day is a separate stage and therefore there is a separate flight for each day, named accordingly. (Some days have two stages). There is a total of nineteen (19) flights. Model of the Rutan is by Olivier Marechal and available from Avsim.com or FlightSim.com. Search for either Olivier's name or the file name, HBYCT_V1.zip. There is also an update, HBYCT_P1.zip.

FSPilot Flight Plan - Oban to Inverness

File Description:
This flightplan requires the freeware Autopilot/EFIS/Flight Planner software, FSPilot, available here at Avsim (fspilot_142.zip). The flight takes you from Oban on the west coast of Scotland along the length of Loch Linnhe and Loch Ness before landing at Inverness Dalcross Airport. Designed to use the payware Scotflight scenery, it works well with the default version.

PMDG SIDSTARS Update for KSLC Salt Lake Intl

Cycle 0604 PMDG SIDSTAR file by Terry Yingling revised 4/22/2006 by Dan Downs for KSLC Salt Lake City Intl. All SID, STAR and ILS procedures edited as required to comply with current charts. Altitude/speed constraints added to STARS. All ILS approaches updated with hard constraint at GS intercept and minor edit of missed appr procedures. DPs FFU6 & SEVYR1 deleted N/A runways, added HDG & vectors command per procedure. Added DP SLC9 and transitions. BEARR4 split between landing North or South; Use BEARR4.N landing North expect vectors to ILS34L or BEARR4.S landing South expect ILS16L use OGD transition. Corrected alt constraint BVL1. Added heading and vectors to JAMMN4. LHO3 split between landing North or South: Use LHO3.N landing North expect vectors to ILS34L, use LHO3.S landing South intercept ILS16L use WEBER transition. File Description:

FSPilot Flight Plan - Shannon to Carnmore to Shannon

File Description:
This flightplan requires the freeware Autopilot/EFIS/Flight Planner software, FSPilot, available here at Avsim (fspilot_142.zip). Place your helicopter at Shannon (EINN), load and run the flight plan. The flight will take you to the west coast of Ireland, landing at Inisheer, Inishmaan, two of the Aran Islands then on to Carnmore (Galway) before returning to Shannon. Using Jordan Moore's Bell 412 the trip took approximately one hour to complete.
