P-51D 357th FG/ 362nd FS G4-E "Missouri Armada"

File Description:
P-51D Mustang 44-14789 "Missouri Armada" flown by Capt. John "Johnny" B. England.John Brooke England was born in 1923 at Caruthersville, Missouri. His service number was O-739263 and he joined the 362nd FS of the 357th FG in April 1943 as a 1/Lt meaning that he was part of the original cadre that left the ZI in November 1943 for the UK. He was promoted to Captain and then to Major. He took command of the 362nd FS on 25 August 1944. He served two tours with the 357th FG for a total of 108 operational missions giving a total of 460 hours combat flying time. He was the second highest scorer in the 357th with a total of 17.5 victories. England finished his second tour and rotated home on 26 January 1945. He remained in the service after the war and was killed in an F-86 crash in November 1954 in France. Alexandria Air Force base in Louisiana was renamed England Air Force Base in his honor. The aircraft was later assigned to Lt. Oscar Ridley, who renamed it "Sad Sack". The a/c was lost on 18 april 1945, with Lt Ridley evading capture. This is a repaint (textures only) for the FS9 MAAM-SIM Grumman Tarpon MkI . Thank you MAAM_SIM for this incredible plane, and thank you Jan for the paint kit! Grumman Tarpon/Avenger Mk I FN910 White 4F of No 846 Sqn, Macrihanish, Scotland, December 1943. Amongst the second batch of Tarpon Is delivered to the British in the autumn of 1943, this aircraft was issued to No 846 Sqn after the unit had flown off of HMS Ravager and taken up residence in Scotland. No 846 Sqdn was the first unit to operate the Tarpon I in home waters.

P-51D 31st FG/307th FS MX-I "February"

File Description:
P-51D 44-13382 MX-I was the assigned aircraft of Lt. Jim Brooks, who flew "February" in the MTO during WWII. Brooks tallied 13.5 air victories with 2 more probables. He was assigned to the 307th FS in the 31st FG of the 15th AF on 30th March 1944. His first kill was 18th May 1944, a Romanian IAR 80 (FW 190 replica), and his last kill was on 29th August 1944, 2 Me109's. He was awarded the Silver Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on paintkit by John Terrell.

Fuerza Aerea Uruguaya C-47A-25-DK T-509

File Description:
Fuerza Aerea Uruguaya C-47A-25-DK T-509, C/N 13744 built a Oklahoma City production plant for the USAAF as 42-93793. This plane was delivered in ferry flight from Glendale the 18/05/1950(crew Tte.Cnel.M.Sención y el Tte.1º.R.Bendahan) arriving to Montevideo the 30/5/1950. The plane was retired the 22/6/77 after 27 years of service with the FAU. Flew also under the matriculation civil CX-BHO. The base textures for repainting are by Mark Beaumont, original textures are by Jan Visser. Repainted by Daniel Nole. In order to use these textures, you must already have the MAAM-SIM payware DC3 and the MAAM-SIM D-Day C-47 'Skytrain' and Dakota Mk III Expansion Pack installed in your FS2004 aircraft folder.

P-51D 531st FS Iwo Jima '313

File Description:
P-51D 44-63934 was assigned to 1Lt John F. Galbraith. He joined the 531st FS/21st FG when he was flying p-39's in Hawaii, and converted to the P-38 and P-51. He was credited with killing nine Japanese soldiers on Iwo Jima during the 26 March 1945 banzai raid, before being wouded. He soon returned to the squadron and began flying VLR (very long range) missions. He most vividly recalls strafing Japanese ships that were closing in on a American submarine. He said he flew '313' because everybody else in the 531st FS was too superstitious to go near it. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Fighters Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on paintkit by John Terrell.

Fuerza Aerea Venezolana North American B-25J Mitchell, FAV-6A40

File Description:
Fuerza Aerea Venezolana N.A.B-25J-25 Mitchell FAV-6A40 of the Escuadrón de Bombardeo No.40. A first batch of 3 planes were taked in charge the 08/28/47 followed by 12 more planes in 1949. Others 11 planes were received between 1950-1952. A last batch was taked in charge by 1963 with 11 planes of the RCAF. The planes were operated in actions with the "Porteñazo" and "Carupanazo" by 1960 and also utilized in the surveillance missions over The Monjes islands. This planes were operated from the Base Aérea Tte. Vicente Landaeta Gil, Barquisimeto,Edo.Lara and retired in 1973 after requipment with Rockwell OV-10E Broncos. Model by the MAAM team, Bill Ranbow, Jan Visser, Fred Banting and Rob Young. Repainted by Daniel Nole.
