This is a repaint (textures only) for the FS9 MAAM-SIM Grumman Tarpon MkI . Thank you MAAM_SIM for this incredible plane, and thank you Jan for the paint kit! Grumman Tarpon/Avenger Mk I FN910 White 4F of No 846 Sqn, Macrihanish, Scotland, December 1943. Amongst the second batch of Tarpon Is delivered to the British in the autumn of 1943, this aircraft was issued to No 846 Sqn after the unit had flown off of HMS Ravager and taken up residence in Scotland. No 846 Sqdn was the first unit to operate the Tarpon I in home waters.

P-51D 31st FG/307th FS MX-I "February"

File Description:
P-51D 44-13382 MX-I was the assigned aircraft of Lt. Jim Brooks, who flew "February" in the MTO during WWII. Brooks tallied 13.5 air victories with 2 more probables. He was assigned to the 307th FS in the 31st FG of the 15th AF on 30th March 1944. His first kill was 18th May 1944, a Romanian IAR 80 (FW 190 replica), and his last kill was on 29th August 1944, 2 Me109's. He was awarded the Silver Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on paintkit by John Terrell.

File Description:
Fuerza Aerea Uruguaya C-47A-25-DK T-509, C/N 13744 built a Oklahoma City production plant for the USAAF as 42-93793. This plane was delivered in ferry flight from Glendale the 18/05/1950(crew Tte.Cnel.M.Sención y el Tte.1º.R.Bendahan) arriving to Montevideo the 30/5/1950. The plane was retired the 22/6/77 after 27 years of service with the FAU. Flew also under the matriculation civil CX-BHO. The base textures for repainting are by Mark Beaumont, original textures are by Jan Visser. Repainted by Daniel Nole. In order to use these textures, you must already have the MAAM-SIM payware DC3 and the MAAM-SIM D-Day C-47 'Skytrain' and Dakota Mk III Expansion Pack installed in your FS2004 aircraft folder.

P-51D 531st FS Iwo Jima '313

File Description:
P-51D 44-63934 was assigned to 1Lt John F. Galbraith. He joined the 531st FS/21st FG when he was flying p-39's in Hawaii, and converted to the P-38 and P-51. He was credited with killing nine Japanese soldiers on Iwo Jima during the 26 March 1945 banzai raid, before being wouded. He soon returned to the squadron and began flying VLR (very long range) missions. He most vividly recalls strafing Japanese ships that were closing in on a American submarine. He said he flew '313' because everybody else in the 531st FS was too superstitious to go near it. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Fighters Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on paintkit by John Terrell.

File Description:
Fuerza Aerea Venezolana N.A.B-25J-25 Mitchell FAV-6A40 of the Escuadrón de Bombardeo No.40. A first batch of 3 planes were taked in charge the 08/28/47 followed by 12 more planes in 1949. Others 11 planes were received between 1950-1952. A last batch was taked in charge by 1963 with 11 planes of the RCAF. The planes were operated in actions with the "Porteñazo" and "Carupanazo" by 1960 and also utilized in the surveillance missions over The Monjes islands. This planes were operated from the Base Aérea Tte. Vicente Landaeta Gil, Barquisimeto,Edo.Lara and retired in 1973 after requipment with Rockwell OV-10E Broncos. Model by the MAAM team, Bill Ranbow, Jan Visser, Fred Banting and Rob Young. Repainted by Daniel Nole. P-51D G-SIJJ "Jumpin'Jacques"

File Description:
"Jumpin Jacques" is a P-51D-20-NA model, built at North American’s Inglewood facility in California. Accepted by the USAAF on December 21 1944 as 44-72035, she was assigned to the 332nd fighter group in the Mediterranean Theatre of operations. The 332nd became very famous as the first all Afro American manned Group known as "The Tuskegee Airmen" although references to them at the time refer to them as "The Red Tails". She entered combat with the 15th Air force around March 1945 serving out the last few months of the war on escort and ground attack sweeps over Germany, Austria and Czechoslovakia. She still carries the battle scars to this day, with bullet repairs in several places on the fuselage. After the war, she was repatriated to the US and served with several ANG units. She was released from active duty in 1953 and in 1956 sold to Whitman Enterprises, CA, who registered her as N5411V. She remained in the Us until 1981, when she was sold to Colombia. In 1989, she was bought by Jacques Bourret of Aero Retro, based in St.Rambert, France, with the registration F-AZMU. When looking for a colour scheme for the P-5, Jacques came upon the photo of a Mustang named "Jumpin’ Jacques" and could not resist adopting this as the new scheme. The original "Jumpin’ Jacques" was flown by Lt Jacques E Young of the 3rd Fighter Squadron, 3rd Air Commando Group, a unit that operated out of the Philippines. At present, she is with the Hangar11 group of North Weald, UK, flying with the registration G-SIJJ. She has been repainted completely in early 2007, and it is this paintscheme that is depicted with this repaint. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Fighters P-51D Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by John Terrell.
