Piaggio P-166A Download

File Description:
The second of the coming P-166 aircraft series. I'm going to built the whole family of these graceful twins. The Piaggio P-166A is a light small twin. An Exotic two-engined prop that sold all over the world including America, UK, and Australia. Its origin is traced Back to the Piaggio P-136, a light anphibian, wich the P-166 keeps the wings, the engines and the tailplanes. The first P-166A flew in November 1957. The aircraft is still in production in a slightly modified turboprop version, the P-166D-P1. This model is 788 Kbs with c.a. 23000 polygons in c.a.170 assemblies. (see something in common with the previous one? YES: 99%...) Features Clickable Dynamic VC with non-planar throttle quadrant. Detailed internals. Fully compatible with FS 2002 (pro edition) Not said about the M version!! The flight Dynamics is based on real data, provided by Piaggio Itself: control surfaces, engines, weights, etc... Paints: 1)FIAT - I-NCAS 2)AGIP Mineraria I-MINT 3)Papuan Airlines VH-PND 4)Northrop corp. - N7651E

Streamlined panel for Grumman Goose G-21 Download

File Description:
This panel streamlines the cockpit and virtual cockpit (VC) views in Lynn and Bill Lyons' Grumman Goose G-21 (cc9g21f2.zip). Why mess with perfection, you might ask? I like the Goose a lot: it's elegant, versatile, and has great views for VFR sightseeing. But on my system, the virtual cockpit's a bit sluggish. There's nothing wrong here with the airplane: it's just what happens when you try to run a complex piece of software on old hardware. Rather than give up, I decided to reduce the number of gauge objects, first in the cockpit (which I don't use very much anyway) and then in the virtual cockpit (which is where you should be flying this great old bird anyway). I also eliminated some of the hotspots. With fewer gauge objects, there are more system resources left over for the sim. The result, on my system, is smoother flying. While I was at it, I also replaced the magnetic compass with a VOR gauge. I know that's unrealistic, but that's what I did.

KR1 for AI Download

File Description:
Ken Rand's small, single-seat, retractable-gear homebuilt, built using Styrofoam and Dynel/epoxy model aircraft techniques. This model was designed using FSDS v3.51, principally for ai use, so there is a relatively low polygon-count main model, with several LOD models and a reduced-detail shadow for optimal fps. Not a short-field aircraft, it's quite streamlined and there are no flaps, so the stall speed is quite high for a small 'plane, 45kts., but as it's such fun to fly I fitted a basic VC with a functional panel using mostly default gauges. This is a "slippery" little aircraft, needing rather more runway to land than you might expect, so line up early and get your speed down if you don't want to have to go around. The flight dynamics were prepared with Gerry Beckwith's AirWrench, but, as is the way with many homebuilt aircraft, the figures I worked from, hence my final result, will probably vary from other published data. Please see the enclosed text file for further details.

File Description:
Lockheed L-1049G Super Constellation V2 - This re-uploaded version integrates the changes of the 20 May 2009 Update pack released elsewhere.

First flown in December 1954, the "Super G" was the most successful and prestigious civil variant of Lockheed's Super Constellation series. It could carry up to 99 passengers, and optional wing-tip tanks holding 600 gallons each enabled it to comfortably fly the popular long-distance routes. Included in the package are four models representing aircraft with and without radar noses and tip tanks.
Natural metal TWA and Eastern textures by Eric Joiner, KLM texture by Marcel Ritzema, panel textures and additional gauges by Diego S. Barreto. Model, VC, and texture basics by Manfred Jahn, panels, gauges, and animations by Hansjoerg Naegele, flight dynamics by Luis Pallas, wingview angles by Bill Tyne and Andreas Trapp, lights and exhaust effects by Roland Berger, checklist and documentation by Volker Boehme, flight test and handling research by Stefan Werner. Ala Littoria, C.R.D.A. Cant.Z.506A / C Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Developed from a design of Ing. Zappata, the first prototype of this entirely wooden construction seaplane, flown by test pilot Stoppani, did its maiden flight, powered by three American made Wright Cyclone, in August 1936 and gained immediately eight world records in speed and two in altitude in the seaplane category. Successive versions, powered by three Alfa Romeo 126 RC10 (later RC34), gained another 16 world records. These airplanes (A or C) were intended for commercial transport of 12/14 passengers, 25 of them were employed by 'Ala Littoria' Company on Mediterranean routes, the Royal Italian Air Force bought another 13 similar aircraft. During WWII all the civilian aircraft, acquired by Regia Aeronautica (Royal Italian Air Force), were used in communication and SAR roles.

Complete aircraft. 3 Different Hi-Res GMax models (3 different versions), features the usual moving parts, such as all flight controls, props pitch and navlights; Six different liveries (for A and C versions); 2D panel only (NO VC). Created by Manuele Villa , July 2007. Installation instructions included.

USAF/MATS Convair CV-240 VBF Download

File Description:
FS2004 USAF/MATS Convair CV-240 VBF in colors of 1952. The Convair with cn 264 was one of a bunch of T-29B-CO (CV-240-27) delivered to the U.S. Air Force September 16, 1952 and on July 15, 1953 assigned to the 1299 Transport Squadron of Military Air Transport Service (MATS). She was equipped with standard high density seating for staff transport and painted in the typically MATS livery of the early fifties. On July 13, 1956 she was converted to VC-131A standard and fitted with the weather mapping radar used extensively on the model CV-440 and on many CV-340 models. The last operator of this Convair was the 86th Tactical Fighter Wing based at Stuttgart (Germany). She came to AMARC on May 06, 1975 and was sold off for scrap on November 23, 1994. A.V.I.A. L.3 (Part 1) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
The L.3 was a partially failed attempt to create a very simple and cheap monoplane trainer, better suited to the entire basic training syllabus of Regia Aronautica pilots from 1940 onwards. This open cockpit version was also adopted for 'lead in' training, by the Croatian Air Force, and eventually the Luftwaffe, and by the A.N.R. for assault glider pilot training. Some also served as 'unit hacks' during WW2. Full details are in the supplied contextual history.

This release (Part 1) provides two open cockpit MDLs, with different landing gear, many relevant liveries, a combined contextual history of both the open and closed cabin versions, and an illustrated Student Training Manual to allow realistic simulation of the wartime Axis 'lead in' training syllabus. The Part 2 of this release will later feature the enclosed cabin version.
VC only. It also works subject to some limitations within in FSX. GMax Models and Skins by Manuele Villa, Flight dynamics by FSAviator. By Manuele Villa/MVG3D, January 2015.
