Sukhoi Su-24 Fencer (Part 3). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this cold warrior of military jet history, which still soldiers on as a formidable strike aircraft. The Su-24, nicknamed "Chemodahn" (Suitcase) by its pilots, went into production in 1975, with around 1,400 built. The Fencer has evolved into a potent low-level deep-interdiction strike aircraft in the same role as the F-111 and the Tornado. The aircraft has served or continues to serve the air forces of a dozen countries. An original 9-LOD model brings this capable aircraft to the flightsim world. This package represents the Su-24M2 Fencer-D, Su-24MP Fencer-F, and Su-24MR Fencer-E, in current or past service with Soviet, Russian, and post-Soviet air forces (inherited aircraft); with a total of 18 models and 74 repaints. This freeware AI package, produced by Miljan Korac in conjunction with Military AI Works , features PC-9M aircraft
of the Slovenian Air Force based at Cerklje ob Krki Air Base (LJCE). Slovenia uses nine PC-9M local name Hudournik
modified and armed by Israeli RADOM company. Cerklje ob Krki is under huge reconstruction which will make the base
able to accept the biggest NATO aircraft such as C-17 or C-5. Package also includes custom made scenery for Cerklje ob Krki.
This scenery features a lot of custom made objects which will increase reality of Air Base.
Scenery represents level of reconstruction chosen by Project Manager.

These AF2 files are based on the file from David Mackie's RAF Lyneham scenery. However, they are also fully compatible with the default. They have been modified with guidance from various aerial photographs (eg. Google Earth etc). I have tested them with and without the Justflight VFR photographic scenery, and all the main airfield features have been aligned accordingly. So whatever combination of scenery you have on your system, there is a suitable afcad for you included within this release.
It is FULLY compatible with the UK Military AI Project releases and many others eg. Ed Kooymans, MAIW etc. My motivation for this update was primarily to provide a better looking airfield for users of my Air Charter Express package, available from Avsim (extended search: author "Dan Foster", sort by release date). But given the lack of decent Lyneham AF2 files that can adequately handle the RAF Hercules component, I hope this release will appeal to a much wider base.

Tupolev Tu-142 Bear. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this cold warrior of military history, which still soldiers on as a capable maritime reconnaissance aircraft. The mighty Bear-Foxtrot, with around 100 built, evolved from the Tu-95 Bear bomber, and is arguably the fastest (and loudest) turboprop aircraft in history. A simple no-frills turboprop design combined with a heavy payload and ridiculous airborne endurance (20+ hours); and the Bear has established itself as the iconic Soviet/Russian symbol of strategic force projection, easily the counterpart to the American B-52 Stratofortress. An original 9-LOD model brings this historic beast to the flightsim world. This package contains the maritime Bears, to include Tu-142, Tu-142M, Tu-142MK, Tu-142MK-E (India), Tu-142MR, and Tu-142MZ; with a total of 6 models and 32 repaints. | Torrejon Air Force Base (LETO), 1957-62 |

File Description:
Torrejón Air Base was originally the home of the Spanish National Institute of Aeronautics, but as a result of an agreement between Franco and the Unites States in 1953 an air base was created there with a large military apron and a runway 13,400 feet long - the longest in Europe for some decades. Officially opened in June 1957, both US bombers and fighters were based there, most significantly the B-47 Stratojet, which had too short a range to be operated only from the U.S. In July of 1958 the 497th Fighter Interceptor Squadron became the first permanently stationed Air Defence Group operating F-86L Sabres and from April 1960 the F-102 Delta Dagger. Over the years many different units and therefore many different aircraft types did TDY (Temporary Duty Assignments - usually 30-90 days) at Torrejon. Units of the Spanish Air Force were also present and are represented in this scenery package.

This freeware AI package, produced by Mark Campbell for Military AI Works, contains all 68 Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcons and 5 Northrop F-5 Tigers belonging to the Republic of China Air Force, 401st TFW based at Hualien AFB RCYU. There are four squadrons within the 401st TFW at Hualien AFB; they are the 17st TFG, 26th TFG and the 27th TFG all using the F-16A/B and the 12 TRG using F-16 A/B and RF-5 E. Sukhoi Su-15 Flagon. I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this cold warrior of military jet history. Going into production in 1962, 1,290 aircraft served thirty-four years in the Soviet, Russian, and Ukrainian air forces. The Su-15 was designed as a follow-on interceptor to the Su-9/11 series, and had the notoriety of being the shoot-down aircraft in the Korean Airlines Flight 007 incident in 1983. An original 7-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This package represents the Su-15 (in five model variations) through the span of its entire career with the Soviet Union, Russian Federation, and Ukraine; with a total of 20 models and 58 repaints. Additional paints cover unofficial use by Egypt in the 1970s, and a short, unfulfilled ownership by Georgia after the Soviet break-up (Georgia traded up for Su-25s). This is an updated version of this scenery to correct texturing errors. My thanks to the the good folks on the MAIW forums for catching and correcting this error. Situated in the San Francisco Bay Area and known as the "Gateway to the Pacific", Travis Air Force Base handles more cargo and passenger traffic through its airport than any other military air terminal in the United States. Originally laid out as a SAC base for long range bombers, the original hangar line and facilities for B-36 and B-52 aircraft have been largely rebuilt over the years to accommodate the current cargo operations of the 60th Air Mobility Wing (host at Travis). The 60th supports and deploys both the C-5 Galaxy and C-17 Globemaster as well as its own refueling squadrons of KC-10 Tankers. In addition, the base's former SAC alert facility now supports 2 transient Navy E-6B Mercury TACAMO aircraft detached from Tinker AFB, Oklahoma.

Dassault Mirage IIICJ (Israeli Defense Force). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for Marcel Dassault's signature design of military jet history. Going into production in 1959, this aircraft, in late form, is still in service with several air forces to this day. An original 7-LOD model pays homage to this wonderful aircraft in the flightsim world. This release is the tip of the iceberg, as I have much more planned for the Mirage III in the not-too-distant future. Additionally, this aircraft design is a benchmark for me, as I begin to write my own flight dynamics, not without a lot of help in learning. This package represents the Mirage IIICJ in the service of the IDF, including both ATAR-9B and -9C variants; with 12 models and 28 repaints. Original aircraft model, flight dynamics, some effects, and textures by Michael Pearson; tremendous amounts of help from Michael MacIntyre and Frank Safranek.
