Excursion Inlet Cannery for the "Glacier Bay" scenery Download

File Description:
Excursion Inlet is in Alaska and in the area covered by Holger Sandmann's scenery called "Glacier Bay" which you will need to have already installed. It might work with just Ultimate Terrain, but then there will be no float base in the same inlet (nicely modelled by Holger and the team) which from the air is pushed off to one side (as a significant landmark, not literally!) by a large cannery which has been there since 1908. And rebuilt several times, I hasten to add, so don't think you're getting a museum piece here. And the only thing nearby that looms larger than the cannery is nature; lots of water, mountains, and trees. For me to start this Holger's scenery had to be there, so without it you won't get the same result.

Port Armstrong, for Holger Sandmann's Tongass Fjords scenery Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a fish farm, at the southern end of Baranof Island and Chatham Strait in southern Alaska. It is named on the chart of the area, and there is a section of the chart included here. This scenery is designed specifically for use in the Tongass Fjord scenery. The fish farm (or hatchery, the description varies) has an identifying code so it will show up on a gps as PAG. There is no interaction with atc as there are no designated water runways, so PAG on the gps just acts as a waypoint. I may have incorrectly identified Tongass Fjords as being required for Hawk Logging when Glacier Bay is needed. Ah well, it is one or the other of them. I still find these scenery areas by Holger and his crew the most satisfying in FS9.

Grumman Albatross version 2.1 FDE Landing Lights Download

File Description:
Grumman HU-16 Albatross 2.1 Greg Pepper, Michael Verlin revised FDE with landing lights This package contains revised aircraft.cfg and air files. I've modified the contact points for the hull and nose gear and retractable landing lights The contact points for the landing lights were omitted in previous uploads. The lights are tied to the water rudder (Shift+W). It has been 5 years since version 2.0 was released. Fortunately, I kept copies of my correspondence with Greg Pepper, which had the information for the missing contact points. They are now included. My apologies for the error. This should finish matters for version 2.1 Instructions unzip this file into the Grumman Albatross G64 section of your FS9 Aircraft folder. overwrite the existing aircraft.cfg and HU16.air files with the files in this package. Juneau, Alaska Download

File Description:
A complete redesign of the airport for Juneau, Alaska (JNU, PAJN). Version 1.0 This is a GPS position accurate layout of the runways (land and water), taxiways and signs, ramp, roads, buildings and nearby navaids. The buildings are very close to accurate scale with close to accurate color. There's parking spaces for small, medium and large general aviation aircraft, military cargo aircraft (Coast Guard C-130's and AK-NG aircraft park here), parking at the terminal for 737 and MD80 size aircraft and helicopter landing pads. Also included is a terrain BGL for the immediate area. This is by far the largest file in the download, but is critical to accurately depict the surrounding terrain (see EORold and EORnew for a comparison). Many details are yet to be added, but this is a good starting point.

Himalayan Peaks Volume 2 - Mt. Everest photoreal textures Download

File Description:
The photoreal textures in this package cover an area of about 100km (E/W) by 60km (N/S) featuring Mt. Everest and several neighboring peaks and are based on a Landsat 7 ETM 15-m multispectral image taken in October 2000. The relatively low resolution of the image makes for pretty grainy textures up close and I did not add any autogen, seasonal textures, or flattened water bodies. Nevertheless, I do believe the photoreal textures do a much better job at showing the grandiose alpine features of this area - rock faces, snow fields, glaciers, and bare ground - than generic landclass textures possibly can. The textures are placed for a best fit with our Mt. Everest area LOD10 terrain mesh, fs_him_01.zip, but probably work OK with the default LOD8 mesh of this area or third-party terrain mesh files.

EZ New GOLF FILES Download

File Description:
Many have seen my golf course at Andrewsfield, England. These libraries enable you to build an 18 hole course, now, and with many added golf objects. I was asked by John B. Loney Jr. (excellent designer) to do a golf course at Oroville, CA. It is called Table Mountain Golf Course. We used course lay-out maps to design the course close as possible to real life including water hazards. One file in this download is an update which is needed; the other two are new. Be sure to have bobslibraries installed as well since I use a couple of objects from my hangar library which is part of bobslibraries. John is close to done with Oroville, CA (KOVE)along with another he is working on. Be sure to grab those when you see them! As always, comments or suggestions are appreciated. Bob

South Farallon Islands Download

File Description:
These islands were mysteriously absent from the FS2004 default scenery, probably owing to their small size. When I went to look for them I found a small mountain of water instead of the islands. Most people don't seem to be aware of the Farallon Islands. Located off the coast of California, near San Francisco, they are home to thousands of birds, seals, and some of the largest Great White sharks known to man. All of this is within a very short distance of the city. Today, it is a wildlife refuge and is off limits to visitation by the general public. Those of you interested in more info might check out "The Devil's Teeth" by Susan Casey. This island is actually a scenery object. As such it doesn't have a landable surface. Future versions will have a helicopter pad.

McDonnell Douglas DC-6 Download

File Description:
This is a Sound System that aims to represent the real DC-6 Sound. Many of the Sound Files came from the default "Lockheed Vega", but they've been edited with many Programs so as to represent accurately the DC-6. Some of the Sound Files were transposed, others have been added "echo", others have been edited with equalizers and I think that the result is really what it was expected to be. The DC-6 flies on Four 1340kW (1800hp) Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp R2800CA15 18 cylinder twin row radial piston engines (with a maximum output rating of 1790kW (2400hp) with water injection) driving three blade constant speed Hamilton Standard propellers. I've tried to emphasize that "Old Propeller Sound" feeling as much as Possible, and I'm certain that this Sound will make your Flights with the DC-6 enjoyable and realistic.
