| Hurricane Mk.XII "Little Willie" |

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the payware SkyUnlimited Hawker Hurricane. This aircraft, RCAF 5491, was manufactured by Canadian Car & Foundry, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, as a Mk.IIb and converted to Mk.XII configuration early on during WWII. Being one of several Hurricanes recovered from a scrap heap in 1984, the aircraft eventually ended up in England where it was restored by Charles Church. Making its first post-restoration flight in 1991, the aircraft was finished in the markings of "Little Willie," the Mk.I flown by Pilot Officer Geoffrey Page of No.56 Squadron when he was shot down in August 1940. After spending just over a decade with the Santa Monica Museum of Flying in California, the aircraft was aquired by Ed Russell for his growing collection in South Niagra Ontario. The aircraft can be seen throughout the summer, regularly giving chase to the collection's BF-109.

Chance-Vought F-8 Crusader (Part 2). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this classic aircraft of modern military history.
This is an original 8-LOD model, with many animations and features thanks to a growing confidence in XML-coding and making FSDS work for me instead of the other way around.
Nicknamed "The Last Gunfighter", this aircraft was the last production aircraft for the US Navy and Marine Corps which used guns as primary armament, and was in service at the twilight of this age, as well as the dawn of the missile age. Like all combat-experience aircraft, it had a relatively short life during its operational use (only about twenty years or so as a fighter), but was used a little longer as a recce aircraft; and beyond that in export service to France and the Philippines. The Crusader was used extensively in combat operations in Vietnam, played a crucial role in the Cuban Missile Crisis, and gave the newer F-4 Phantoms a fair run for their money in terms of air combat capability during this time. It is interesting to note that the 'elderly' F-8 Crusader had a better kill overall ratio in air combat in Vietnam than its F-4 successor.
This is part two of this model series, covering the F-8D, F-8E, and F-8H base models; with a total of 22 model options and 54 individual squadron paints. I am fairly confident that if any operational squadron of the USN and USMC used this aircraft from the late 50s to the late 60s, it is covered here at some time frame. Subsequent releases will include the later USN/USMC models, as well as the French and Philippine exports. Extensive credits and instructions are in the documentation. Fort Simpson Island is the fifth in a series of airfields that follow (approximately) in a southward direction the Mackenzie River. At the far northern end of the river there is Tuktoyaktuk, then Inuvik, Fort McPherson, Fort Good Hope, Deline, and then Wrigley, all posted. Fort Simpson Island is at 405 feet asl and on the west bank of the the Mackenzie, around 110 miles south of Wrigley at the junction of the Mackenzie and the Liard rivers. The town of Fort Simpson is on an island, and has a population of 1,250 or so folks. The Hudson Bay trading post was established here in 1822. The airport is right next to the town, and has 3,000 feet of gravel runway, though with a displaced threshold of 1,000 feet at each end (unmarked, on gravel) this is effectively 2,000 feet for landing. The Canada Flight Supplement lists the runway as being 100 feet wide; the gravel is definitely far less and the 100 refers to the width in the winter when you are landing on snow and don't care if there is gravel or grass underneath. There are no scheduled flights as these go to the nearby Fort Simpson CYFS. There is a mandatory radio frequency which is for both CYFS and CET4 and in this case I have set the "tower" to "manned" so you will report position and obey instructions. Runway 13 has right hand circuits. I have modified the Ultimate Terrain route for the Mackenzie Highway so that it remains on the west side of the river and does not wander randomly from one side to the other north of Fort Simpson.

| Torrejon Air Force Base (LETO), 1957-62 |

File Description:
Torrejón Air Base was originally the home of the Spanish National Institute of Aeronautics, but as a result of an agreement between Franco and the Unites States in 1953 an air base was created there with a large military apron and a runway 13,400 feet long - the longest in Europe for some decades. Officially opened in June 1957, both US bombers and fighters were based there, most significantly the B-47 Stratojet, which had too short a range to be operated only from the U.S. In July of 1958 the 497th Fighter Interceptor Squadron became the first permanently stationed Air Defence Group operating F-86L Sabres and from April 1960 the F-102 Delta Dagger. Over the years many different units and therefore many different aircraft types did TDY (Temporary Duty Assignments - usually 30-90 days) at Torrejon. Units of the Spanish Air Force were also present and are represented in this scenery package.

Ovda is a military and civilian airport in Israel, located in the south of the country, it hosts the 115th 'Flying Dragon'

USAF C-35 (Boeing 727-35) Repaint of the USAF Washington, DC Air National Guard, 121st Fighter Squadron, 113th Tactical Fighter Wing, Andrews AFB, Camp Spring, Maryland. The 121st is attached to the 201st Tactical Airlift Wing. Their primary mission at present, is to protect the Washington, DC area air space. Two "alert" pilots are on 24 hr. duty, only a few feet from thier fully loaded F-16C Fighting Falcons, to respond to intruders vilolating the restricted air spaces over the metro area. Their other duties include transportation of troops and government VIP's, which is what this plane is used for here. The wing is also responsible for transportaion of the President of the United States aboard Air Force One, which is hangered at Andrews. - Maj. Gen. David Wherley Commanding.
(If you look on the tail of the aircraft near the upper stabilizer, you will see 4 stars arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration. This marks the aircraft as belonging to the 121st.)

File Description:
The Spitfire was developed continuously throughout World War II, through some 24 versions. A major revision of the original Spitfire was the Mk IX, a model quickly cobbled together to meet the challenge of the newly emerging Focke-Wulf 190. The high-altitude version Mk IX was essentially a Mk V with a 1,710-hp Merlin 70 engine, capable of more than 400 mph. From 1942 to 1944 5,665 Mk IXs were built, and at war's
end many were still in RAF service. This is the airplane flown by Lt.-Col Robert (Bob) Rogers, commanding officer of Nr. 40 Squadron of the South African Air Force in Italy during 1944.
This model has full animation, full lighting effects and a realistic panel with accurate views in all directions. a Checklist is also provided. The "Aircraft overstressed"-problem that occurs when trying fast maneuvers has also been rectified, so you can throw it about at your hearts content. HAPPY FLYING!!

File Description:
N3-609 was delivered to the Dutch East Indies Army (Air Forces) om 9 May 1945 and assigned to the yellow patrol of Nr.121 Squadron.
A year later the aircraft was moved from their original base in Australia at Bundaberg to Tjililitan (near Batavia, now Jakarta) in the Dutch East Indies (what it now Indonesia) for use against separatists.
The aircraft was later renumbered H-309 when the Dutch armed forces introduced a standard numbering scheme for all aircraft (which is still in use today).
At the independence of Indonesia the aircraft was handed over the the newly formed Indonesian airforce (AURI, now TNI-AU) where she entered service as F-309.
This livery is typical for the first period, later the Dutch flags were replaced by the now familiar Dutch roundels and the registration number moved from its position on nose and tail to a single large number on the rear fuselage.
This livery required the Wings Of Power P-51D to be installed.

At 1805 hours GMT on April 2nd. 1945 an RAF Short Sunderland Mk.V took off from the waters of the flying boat base near Oban, in Scotland. With the war in Europe nearly over, men and materiel were being transferred to the Far East, where Japan continued to defend its home islands with great ferocity and determination. The ten-man crew of the Sunderland included young Harry Levy, the navigator. Harry, now a resident of Canberra, Australia, was a Sergeant in the RAAF attached to an RAF aircrew and was being transferred to Dar-es-Salaam to join 259 Squadron, RAF. Their trip was to take them some 6000 nautical miles, over a period of 20 days (with a lot of that being spent in Gibraltar whilst engine repairs were carried out) and with more than 48 hours spent aloft. They departed Britain in the springtime and arrived in east Africa in autumn.
This is the FS9 recreation of that journey.
