P-51D 531st FS Iwo Jima '313 Download

File Description:
P-51D 44-63934 was assigned to 1Lt John F. Galbraith. He joined the 531st FS/21st FG when he was flying p-39's in Hawaii, and converted to the P-38 and P-51. He was credited with killing nine Japanese soldiers on Iwo Jima during the 26 March 1945 banzai raid, before being wouded. He soon returned to the squadron and began flying VLR (very long range) missions. He most vividly recalls strafing Japanese ships that were closing in on a American submarine. He said he flew '313' because everybody else in the 531st FS was too superstitious to go near it. Repaint for the Shockwave WWII Fighters Mustang by Jan Kees Blom, based on paintkit by John Terrell.

CYMJ 15 Wing Moose Jaw Download

File Description:
CYMJ Moose Jaw is a Canadian Forces Base and headquarters for 15 Wing. This military airfield is situated approximately four miles south of the City of Moose Jaw. The airbase is home to the NATO Flying Training in Canada Program (CT-155 Hawk and CT-156 Harvard II aircraft) and 431 Air Demonstration (Snowbird) Squadron (CT-114 Tutor). This scenery was constructed using GMAX and represents the airport as it was in 2007 / 2008. It includes nearly all the buildings at the airport, taxiway and runway signs, as well as radar and radio transmission structures infield. CYMJ also includes a landclass file to better represent the terrain around the airport, at least as far as the limits of the default landscape will allow.

Piaggio P-166 Collection Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This package contains an updated re-release of all my original Piaggio P-166 models developed for FS-2002/2004. All versions are included in a single package: P-166A, P-166BL-2, P-166CL-2, P-166M, P-166S, P-166DL-3 and P-166DP-1. The 3D models are the same, so these are fairly simple models. Yet they come with a VC (no 2D panel this time!). With respect to the original releases, they come with very much improved panels, in two flavors: Piston and Turboprop. Gauges developed by Milton Shupe & Scott Thomas for the Aero Commander / Turbo Commander Aircraft series, and Edgar Guinart López of Aeroproyecto for the Embraer 110. Other Gauges from my own Piaggio P-180 & PD-808. Also Included is a brand-new flight model redeveloped from scratch. Please refer to the Reference and Checklist pages provided via the FS Kneeboard for flying and operating instructions. The Piaggio P-166 is a light small twin. An Exotic twin-engine prop that sold all over the world including America, UK, and Australia. Its origin is traced Back to the Piaggio P-136, a light amphibian, which the P-166 keeps the wings, the engines and the tail planes. The first P-166A flew in November 1957. The aircraft was still in production in the early 21st century in an improved turboprop version, the P-166DP-1.

RAF Alconbury Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Scenery for RAF Alconbury. The last flying units to be based here were the A-10A's of the 10th Tactical Fighter Wing and the TR-1's of the 95th Recon Squadron. Alconbury was opened by the RAF in 1938, and taken over by the USAAF in 1942. It is one of two bases that have been continually in U.S. service since World War 2. There are two options for parking setups in this scenery - it is defaulted to A-10 operations, but you can swap out files to house the RF-4's of the 10th TRW and F-5E's of the 527th TFTAS; the Phantoms are available but there are no F-5 paints available yet. Scenery is made up from several object libraries, details can be found in the readme.

Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX Download

File Description:
The Spitfire was developed continuously throughout World War II, through some 24 versions. A major revision of the original Spitfire was the Mk IX, a model quickly cobbled together to meet the challenge of the newly emerging Focke- Wulf 190. The high-altitude version Mk IX was essentially a Mk V with a 1,710-hp Merlin 70 engine, capable of more than 400 mph. From 1942 to 1944 5,665 Mk IXs were built, and at war's end many were still in RAF service. This is the airplane flown by Lt.-Col Robert (Bob) Rogers, commanding officer of Nr. 40 Squadron of the South African Air Force in Italy during 1944. This model has full animation, full lighting effects and a realistic panel with accurate views in all directions.

T-33A Royal Dutch Air Force Download

File Description:
The T-33A "T-Bird" joined the Dutch Air Force in the beginning of the fifties and they were operational up until 1972. 63 planes in total, 3 of them being reconnaissance aircraft (RT-33A). The first planes received the exterior decoration for "non combatant aircraft" as it was called then. A yellow band around both wings and a broad yellow band around the rear end of the aircraft. The Dutch Air Force code on the nose was applied in a similar way to that of the USAF and started with TR-1. This was later changed into an "M-" indication and the yellow striping was replaced by the now more familiar "day glow red" markings. This repaint depicts the early decoration of TR-15, a jet trainer of 313 Squadron, Volkel Air Base.

RAF Avro 685 York C1 LV633 ASCALON Download

File Description:
The third prototype became Winston Churchill's personal flying conference room. It was luxuriously fitted out and had square windows instead of the characteristic row of circular ones. Delivered on April 30, 1943, to RAF A&AEE, it was transferred to No. 24 Squadron on May 28, 1943, and named "ASCALON" after St. George's sword. The Prime Minister used it to fly to allied conferences at Moscow (1943), Cairo (1943), Teheran (1943) and Yalta (1945). On another occasion, it served as the personal aircraft of King George VI during his tour of North Africa in 1943. On June 10, 1954 it was struck off charge and finally broken up at North Coates, Lincolnshire. Gmax exterior model and paintkit by Manfred Jahn, FDE by Paul Edwards, repainted by Hans Hermann, Virtual Birds Factory.

Lil 8 Ball Boeing B-17G Download

File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) for the Donationware B-17G Late from FighterTown Design Group. You can get it here for a great price!! www.donationware.net Thank you FDG for providing this great plane!! Special thanks go to Jarink, who is a repainter in IL-2/PF. Jarink was kind enough to send me his layered photoshop files of the Noseart that I used for these repaints. I also used his repaints as a guide for my repaints. This texture represents "Lil 8 Ball" from the 709th Bomb Squadron, 447th Bomb Group. These were all delivered to the 447th in spring of 1944 and, incredibly, all survived only to be scrapped at Kingman, Az. L'il Eight ball was one of the 447th's "Century Ships" (completed at least 100 missions).
