Africa 1960 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
We've produced this scenery to provide taxiways, buildings and details as they were around 1960 for airports with airline service in Africa. We've added custom GMAX or Sketchup terminals for the major airports, usually with many other details included. We've added a library object terminal and details to virtually every African airport that was served by an airline in the early 1960's. We have been working on this project for 13 months, and there are 105 airports/fields. All have scenery - some very sparse, others full of action. All airports have flags, lighting, windsocks, and rotating beacons. If possible, the airports are placed accurately with maps2bgl as reference.

Aeroflot Russian Airlines Fleet Pack 5 Download

File Description:
Aeroflot began in March 1923 as Dobrolet with a mixed fleet of De Havilland, Vickers, Junkers and other aircraft. Dobrolet merged into Dobroflot in 1929 and flew all services within Russia. By 1932 the airline was called Aeroflot. After the second world war international sevices began. At one stage Aeroflot had a massive fleet of over 7,500 aircraft although this fleet was pretty much ALL the civilian aircraft in the former Soviet Union. Aeroflot began the world's first sustained jet airline service using Tupolev Tu-104 'Camel' jets (developed from the Tu-16 'Badger' bomber) on an extensive internal route network from the summer of 1955. The Tu-104 saw service until the mid-1970s. After the breakup of the Soviet Union Aeroflot broke up into lots of smaller carriers and became known as Aerflot - Russian International Airlines. Aeroflot began using leased Boeing 767s and 737-400s alongside the older soviet types and with a revised livery. The Russian flag replaced the Red Flag. Airline history supplied by http://airlines.afriqonline.com. The fifth release contains the Aeroflot ANTK Tupolev TU-154M aircraft. Contents of the packs include only textures. Aircraft model is by PAI and can be obtained at the associated sites. These packages support MRAI fightplans for WI04. Repaints are by Frank Bass.

ATC Voices - Airline Call Signs set 24 Download

File Description:
A collection of 13 new or corrected airline callsigns, for use with Flight Simulator 2004 or 2002. Installation requires the EditVoicepack software (see http://bevelstone.xs4all.nl/FlightSimulator/EditVoicepack) by Lars Møllebjerg which is also available free download from the usual Flight Simulator download sites such as Avsim. The callsigns included here represent a range of airlines around the world for which flightplans and/or aircraft are available. They are: ADRIA: Adria Airways (Slovenia) - improved, AIRES: AIRES - Aerovias de Integracion Regional (Colombia) - improved, CARZAM: Phoebus Apollo (Zambia), CREOLE: Halcyon Air Cabo Verde (Cape Verde Islands), CUTE: Island Aviation (Maldives), EASTERN SKYJETS: Eastern Sky Jets (UAE), E-WING East Wing (Kazakhstan), FLYING OLIVE: Aerodynamics Malaga (Spain), FLYLINK: Flylink Express (Spain), STARSAWAY: Stars Away Aviation (South Africa), TAT: Tat European Airlines (France) - improved, TRANS MALDIVIAN: Trans Maldivian Airways (Maldives), and VIP TAXI: VIP Air (Slovakia). All of these callsigns have been cross-checked with reliable sources - I do not create non-existent callsigns for badly compiled AI packages for it is obviously more sensible to correct the mistakes in those packages. If you are familiar with EditVoicePack to do not need to read the readme.txt file very carefully, in block capitals or indeed at all, just import these files like you usually do.

Cape Verde Islands Domestic Airports Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Googlyafcads and simple scenery for five airports in the Cape Verde Islands, all of which are served by regular domestic flights of TACV - Transportes Aereos de Cabo Verde. Each of these has been "overlooked" by Microsoft in Flight Simulator 2004 and are provided with nothing other than a runway. These scenery files add aprons, taxiways, buildings and other airport features to Flight Simulator's bland representation and allow you and "AI" traffic to land, taxi, park and take off in a realistic manner. The airports represented are: GVBA Rabil, GVMA Maio, GVSF Sao Filipe, GVSN Preguica and GVSV Sao Pedro. The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high-detail satellite imagery from Google Earth (except Sao Filipe), the layout is proportianally correct but the added airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects and add-on libraries so will not look like the real thing. Sao Filipe is largely imaginary owing to poor quality of the satellite image, but has been created to be similar to other airports of like size. You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries, but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine, with or without. VGCB Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh Download

File Description:
Googly scenery for VGCB Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, a small domestic airport serving the fishing town of the same name in the Bay of Bengal, to the south of Chittagong. It boasts extensive sandy beaches which has allowed tourism development. The unusual name comes from Captain Hiram Cox of the British East India Company who was appointed Superintendent of the outpost in the late 1700s. The airport, which was originally a Pakistan Air Force base, sees domestic flights (mostly to/from Dhaka) operated by Hawker Siddeley 748s, de Havilland Dash 8s and Fokker Fellowship aircraft of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, GMG Airlines, United Airways and Zoom Airlines. Flight Simulator 2004 has made no provision for traffic with only a runway provided and this scenery seeks to redress the situation. The scenery does not purport to be ultra-accurate. Based on high quality satellite imagery from Google Earth, the layout is proportionally correct but the added airport features, such as buildings, are built from default Microsoft objects and add-on libraries so will not look exactly like the real thing. You are not obliged to download and install any additional scenery libraries, but to enjoy this scenery in its entirety, you may wish to. It will work fine, with or without.

KCMH - Port Columbus International - Columbus, Ohio, USA Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Port Columbus International Airport in Columbus, Ohio, is a gem of an airport for aviation buffs. It first opened in 1929 at a site chosen by Chales Lindbergh, as part of an air-rail route from New York to Los Angeles. The original terminal building has been restored and is now used for office space. Two of the original three hangers are still in use (I included the third hanger in the scenery). The six hanger Lane Aviation FBO was added in 1935 and has been in operation these 78 years. In 1959 the modern terminal was first built, with additions and renovations to follow. Netjets opened their facilities in 2001. With the exception of the runways, this version of KCMH was built entirely from scratch. This is the first large airport I've done in which all buildings on the field (except for the control tower) are custom made and partly or fully photo textured. I've also made more use of ground photo textures. Many hours went into the creation of Port Columbus International Airport for FS9. I hope you enjoy it. My thanks to Wil Morgan of FRAME-RATE-FRIENDLY Studio (WWW.FRFSTUDIO.NET) for the AI aircraft parking assignments and general testing. The vintage TWA textures for the DC3's are by Dale De Luca.

Zaragoza AB Retro 1958-1962 Download

File Description:
This scenery and its traffic represents Zaragoza AB (LEZG) in the Cold War era of the late 50s to early 60s. Zaragoza was one of three major Cold War US air bases in Spain, the others being Torrejon (also available here and at other sites) and Moron. Zaragoza served as a Reflex base for Strategic Air Command, hosting various B-47 units doing rotational duty at the base along with permanently assigned fighters for air defense purposes. It was shared with the Spanish Air Force which flew the F-86F. All of this is represented in this retro version of Zaragoza AFB including Traffic for 1958 and 1962. This scenery requires the installation of Zaragoza-1 by By Pablo Fernandez de Bobadilla, Jose Ramon Rodriguez and Diego Novillo. Information provided in the installation instructions. Full credit goes to them for the original modeling of the base. We have simply modified the ADE/AFCAD file and flightline elements to take it back to the time of the B-47 bombers and fighters of the late 50s and early 60s. Installation is simple and if you have installed our Torrejon and Wheelus retro sceneries most of the aircraft needed will already be present. By Al Von Pingel, Ken Lawson.
