File Description:
cfs2/Grumman F6F-3 Hellcat Mk-I RAF E-O Serial #JV-125. Fleet Air Arm.This aircraft was part of the 800 NAS aboard the HMS Emperor in mid 1944. The new generation "Cat" provided the 800 Squadron aircrews with a superior air carrier fighter. The HMS Emperor was to become the eyes of the admiralty in flying strike aircover and artillary spotting thtoughout Operations Overlord and Dragoon. Painted over The B24 Guy's F6F-3 Overhaul Model. Note the absence of invasion stripes on fuselage and upper and lower main wing surfaces on this aircraft. Code letters are light yellow. It is apparent that there were many variations in the squadron's markings; even on the same aircraft. Complete Texture Folder with all texture and damage files included. By revev. Enjoy!

Painted over The B24 Guy's F6F-3 Overhaul Model. Note: From the faded B&W photo it was impossible to get the true color (or tint) of the aircraft. However, it appeared to have some camo. CFS2/Grumman TBM-1 Avenger MK-II JZ-456 RAF Fleet Air Arm 854 NAS - June, 1944. This paint was copied from an actual photograph taken just days after the D-Day invasion, over southern England. This aircraft was from the 854 NAS, operating out of Hawkinge on anti-submarine patrols under the Command of No 157GR Wing- RAF Coastal Command. Note fuselage Code Letters - 4P.
