File Description:
This aircraft is painted to represent the aircraft that LTjg George Bush piloted while attached to the VT-51 operating off the USS San Jacinto, CG56. His airplane was shot down on September 2, 1944 over Chichi Jima in the Bonin Islands. Bush parachuted to safety. His crewmen did not survive. Enjoy!

A6M2 Zero V-173 "Overhaul"

File Description:
Modified to fit The B24 Guy's Overhauled Stock Model. V-173, of the Japanese Navy's 204th Air Group was based at Rabaul and flown by Japanese 'ace' Saburo Sakai. V-173 was to be exported to the US from Gasmata in 1975, but somehow ended up in the RAAF Museum at Point Cook in Australia and restoration began in 1977. Parts of two aircraft; A6M2 C/N 3618 and A6M5 C/N 4043, were used in the restoration. V-173 is now on display at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. Enjoy!
